Hallway after hallway, room after room. Everything flashed past Sid as he raced forward. He had been here before, but everything seemed slightly different. Finally, he paused in front of a small doorway suspended up towards the ceiling.
Sid tilted his head to the side as he paused for a moment and stared at the door. It seemed almost out of place. The door was made of pure metal, and had a slit down the center that almost looked like a lightning bolt. There was no door handle. No panel along the edges. Just the metal door nestled in the stone frame.
Slowly, Sid reached out his skeletal hand. He placed it on the wall, and pressed it down. His fleshy hand followed that one as he pressed it on the wall next to it. His feet followed behind his hands and he crawled up onto the wall. It was like he was crawling along the floor like a spider as he made his way up the wall to the metal door.

He moved to the side of the door and reached out his fleshy hand. Slowly, he traced a single finger around in a circular shape on the metal.
"They knew...of course, they knew. They were ready for all of it. Even me." Sid whispered as his eyes poured over the door.
There was a small hiss as the metal groaned to life. Each half slid to the side and back into the wall. Inside, black smoke poured out and clung to the ceiling as it slowly spread out.
A monotone voice called out as the door opened, "Welcome back drone number fifty seven. It has been...error...days since this unit has been accessed."
Sid's eyes were wide as he stood on the wall in silence. The room was completely black inside, but he slowly reached his hand inside. His face turned into a grimace as his hand crossed the threshold, and then his body was pulled inside and into the black.
