The creature with one cracked eye sprinted down the hallway. Each step slammed down against the ground, and sounded like brass sheets being slapped against each other. Its arms were hidden behind the strips of its outfit as its legs pressed forward as he ran.
Chi...iiiill...ooouuu...ttt...bbb...rroooo! Death cried out in a warbly voice as his cage flailed around. Though, since he spoke through his mind and not any vocal cords, who knows why it was warbling. Yyyoouuu...ssstttaa...rrrtteeddd...ttthhiissss!

Behind the creature was Nugget. Her steps were silent as she followed behind it. Her talons barely made contact with the ground before she had already pushed off again. One was conspicuously clenched shut, but her closed talon didn't seem to affect her gate or speed. She even helped boost her speed every few seconds with a flap of her wings.
Hhheeyyy! Nnnuuu...ggggettt, wwwhhhyyy dddoonnn't...yyyooouuu fffrrreeee mmmeeee? Death asked.
Nugget glanced slightly to the side and towards Death's skull. She flipped forward over herself, and threw the small pebble she has in her closed foot.
The rock scratched the top of the cage. It seemed to hit something vital, and the bars of energy started to dim, and then faded completely. The bottom of the cage fell first, followed quickly by the startled skull.
Whoa! Death cried out as his skull tumbled onto the ground.
The one-eyed creature glanced back at its lost prisoner, but didn't stop sprinting forward as it's feet clanged against the ground. Nugget also continued to chase after the creature as the skull was left behind.
Wait, guys? Guys? Death called out. I don't know where I am! Don't just leave me here bros.
His only answer was the slowly fading sounds of the metallic footsteps, as the chase continued while his discarded skull lied alone on the carpet with a small, rusty disc just a few feet away.
Death glanced around at his situation. As he did, he managed to tip himself over and fall on his side. He was truly alone deep inside the facility. So, he did what most would do in his situation, he said, Well, fu...
