Ch 214: Cold Hearted Revenge

Nugget looked over at the still body of the wolf. She tried to push herself up on her one leg, but she still couldn't stand up. She cooked her head to the side as she turned towards the robot. Its invisible body had started to shimmer.

Nugget spread her wings and flames surrounded her. She flapped her fiery wings down, and lifted her body up into the air. She flew over to the wolf's cold body. As the fire around her dissipated, she landed on top of the wolf.

Nugget lowered her head down towards the wolf's mouth. A small wisp of fire twirled out of her beak, and down the wolf's throat. The glow of the small fire could be seen through the wolf's skin as it traveled deeper into his body.

"How...how did you find it? My plan. My plan was perfect!" The scientist yelled angrily. "This....you were just a distraction, weren't you!"

The robot lost its invisibility more and more. It's massive arms clasped together and raised into the air above it. Then, it slammed down its hands towards Nugget and the wolf's frigid body.

WHAM!

The giant arms slammed down with immense power, but seemed to have been stopped just before they hit the ground.

"Aaaarrreee yyyooouuu ooookkkaaayyyy?"

Nugget looked up, and Bakade had her hands up and was holding back the two giant hands. Her body was shaking slightly ad the robot pushed down.

Nugget was lying upside down, and the wolf's body was gone. She seemed stunned for a moment, and when she replied with a "Ba...awk." her voice cracked.

"IIIIII'mmmm ggglllaaaddd yyyyooouuu'rrreee aaalllrrriiiggghhhttt." Bakade said with a sigh. "IIIIIII wwwaaasss rrreeeeaalllllyyyy wwwwoooorrriiiieeeeddd. Wwwaaaiiittt, wwhhhaaattt hhhaaapppeeeennneeeddd tttoooo yyyooouuurrr llleeeeggg?"

Boom!

The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.

The robot's arms lifted away from them. The machine had been knocked back and crashed into a wall of the cavern.

"Cccoouuulllddd hhheee aaalllwwwaayyysss dddooo tthhhhaaattt?" Bakade asked as she gently scooped Nugget up into her arms.

Nugget blinked twice, and then shook her head.

The wolf was mid leap. His body covered in a thick frost. A fog of ice crystals surrounded him, and a massive sword made of a thick blue ice was held in his mouth. At least, it was roughly sword shaped, but it had many jagged edges and sharp spikes of ice that jutted off of it.

He turned his head and slammed the massive sword into the robot again. The machine was knocked another direction as it slammed into a different wall.

"This is impossible! You traitor! You were holding this back until I lost it weren't you?" The old man snapped. "I thought you'd at least understand my desire for revenge, yet here you are."

The robot was now completely visible. It split its two arms into hundreds of smaller ones. All of them with a single sharp point on the end of them, like a tent spike. The armada of arms spread through the room, and began their onslaught against the wolf. The scientist seemed to completely ignore the two women still in the room with them.

"Sssooorrrryyy IIIIII tttooookkkk sssoooo lllooonnggg," Bakade apologized as she tucked Nugget under her arm.

As she held the chicken with one hand, she jumped up onto the wall, and dug her claws in.

"Rreeeaaadddyyy tttooo llleeeaavvveee ttthhhhooossseeee tttwwwooo jjjeeerrrkkksss?" Bakade asked.

Nugget looked down as the wolf fought off the attack. She closed her eyes and breathed in deeply. Even as she seemed to contemplate the question, Bakade started to climb away along the wall.

Ting. Ting. Ting. Ting.

The wolf used his sword and knocked away each limb as it stretched out to hit him. He almost seemed even faster than he did before. The sword swung around in wide arcs as it kept his body completely untouched.

"Fool. As if that'll be enough to stop me!" The scientist cackled as the arms all pulled back at once. "Fast or not, you're far too predictable."

The arms all adjusted and then, in a coordinated symphony launched into an improved attack. When one spike thrust towards him, another on the opposite side would attack him as well. With more and more cascading forward with each second.

The wolf still managed to hold them off with the giant sword in his mouth. But, as one finally seemed to slip through, it got covered in more and more frost the closer it got to his body. Not only that, but it slowed down more and more the closer it got.

His body was overflowing with raw hatred that seemed to be physically represented by the icy fog that surrounded him. The spikes that slipped through his defense became heavily coated in ice to the point that they effectively became rounded on their tip. Along with slowing down enough to give the wolf plenty of time to knock them away with his sword.

"You think you've beaten me? Not even close! All you and your fellow traitors have done is delay the inevitable." The scientist said angrily. "You're pathetic. Worthless. Just absolute trash, and you should be grateful I gave you a second glance, let alone all the gifts I blessed you with!"

The wolf didn't even snarl in response. His one eye just focused on the main body of the robot. He tensed his legs and then leaped like a missile towards the scientist's magnum opus. As he blew through a defensive attack of arms, he twisted his head to the side and prepared to attack with his sword again.

In the meantime, Bakade had already climbed out of the hole with Nugget tucked under her arm. As the two of them breached the surface, the girl with a moose skull looked down at the hen tucked against her body.

"Ssssoooo.....aaannnyy iiiddeeaaaa hhhhooowwww tttoooo aaccctttuuuuaaaalllyyyy gggeeetttt ooouuuutttt oooofff hhheeerrreee?"
