"To whom do I have the pleasure of addressing?" Azrail asked as he looked as calm as ever, despite the earlier threat.
There was a snort followed by a loud spitting noise as his guest seemed to hock a loogie. "Disgusting," sneered the voice. "Hell may just be too good for something like you."
Azrail smiled gently as he folded his hands over his walking stick. "I've often thought the same thing," he said with an undertone of sadness in his words. "I've led a terrible life. For what I've done, what works could I do that would redeem me. The answer it seems constantly escapes me. I remember a time..."
"Don't tell me you're going to go off on some asinine lecture now?" the voice groaned. "I don't think my mind could survive such concentrated boredom."

Azrail nodded. "Very well then. Perhaps you should get on with it. We both have places to be, don't we? Hell for me, and...the ruined building in the distance for you I'd bet."
A man stepped out from the shadows of the trees. He was wearing a long, dark coat with a pristine button up shirt underneath paired nicely with dress pants and shoes shined to perfection.
His face was in stark contrast to his tidy outfit. With bits of facial hair poking through his skin from weeks without shaving. He had round glasses on and a wild look in his eyes as his hair looked like it had been slicked back with his own natural grease.
He had a crazed look in his eyes as he stared at Azrail. "I can practically smell the sin coming off of you."
"How right you are," Azrail sighed with a sorrowful expression. "Even a lifetime of work to save my soul has not been enough. I know that better than anyone. A life spent saving others and broadening my mind. No, even given ten more lifetimes would not be enough. My crimes are far too..."
"Shut up," The man frowned. "I can't believe how much you seem to like to talk. Should've spent that time praying instead of rambling on about your sorry self."
Azrail smiled again and nodded as he finally opened his eyes. "How right you are. So, can I get the name of my punisher?"
The man paused a moment and finally nodded. "Very well. I am brother Abraham. Now, prepare for your final departure from this world."
Azrail nodded. "Alright Abraham. Start whenever you are ready."
