Fog spewed out of the room more and more. But it wasn't just the fog from there. Everywhere that little bits of fog had been left behind, it started to spread more and more.
The little fog throughout the chamber was now spreading to completely cover any and everything on the ground.
"That can't be good," understated Og'drimun.
The tiny demon flew forward and up into the air as he cupped his hands around his mouth and shouted, "Hey bro! Can you hear me?"
There was no answer.
"Got anything that'll stop fog?" Sentenza asked. "I've got an idea, but I'd rather not go through with it."
Narissa scoffed. "Nothing that'll magically fix things here."
"IIIIIIII jjjjuuussssttt mmmooovvveee ttthhhrrrooouuuuggghhh fffooooggg. Ssssstttooopppiiinnnggg iiittt iiissss aaaa bbbiiittt ooouuuttt ooofff mmmmyyyy ffffiiieeelllddd." Bakade shrugged.
"Oooh, I can stop it!" Pockets giggled.
Sentenza frowned. It was clear he'd rather not listen to the clown, but he said, "Well, let's have it then."
"Are you suuuure?" said in a sing song voice.
"Just give it to us!" Og'drimun added.
Pockets licked her lips, "Well, since you did ask so nicely..."
SPLAT!
A big cream pie landed squarely on all of their faces as Pockets expertly flung them at the four others. The cheap metal tins stuck in the air for a moment before they slowly came off with a wet,
Schlep.

Sentenza reached up and wiped off as much of the cream as he could in one pass down over his face.
"How exactly is that helping?" he practically snarled.
"Isn't it onbvious? If your nose is full of cream, then the fog can't get in!" She explained as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.
"Guess we're down to your idea." Narissa grumbled as she took out a silk handkerchief and cleaned off her face. As more of her skin was revealed, she looked increasingly irritated.

"Ugh," Ted groaned. It feels like I just got hit by a truck."
"Again?"
Ted's mind flashed back to when he watched Diante dash out into the street to save someone from being hit by a truck. All while he just stood on the sidelines.
A searing pain suddenly pulsed in his head, and Ted reached up instinctively. It was then that he realized, "Wait, why is it so dark?"
Ted tried to look around as he realized his eyes were actually open. But there was nothing but darkness.
"You're really lucky, you know that?"
Ted finally placed the voice, "Pynga?" he asked.
"I...yes. How did you know?" she asked.
"What do you mean? We were just talking a little while ago. How could I have forgotten your voice so quickly?' Ted replied casually. "But seriously, do you have a light or something?"
"We're not all so bold about tempting fate." Pynga replied. "Do you know why she wanted you now?"
Ted stared into the darkness. He kept expecting his eyes to adjust to the darkness, but they never did. it was always just as dark. Like there wasn't a single scrap of light that he could grab onto.
"I just know she was disappointed with me. But I could've told her I'd be a disappointment." Ted said before he let out a dry laugh.
Pynga was silent.
"Hey, uh, are you still there? I can't really see here you know." Ted asked.
"I'm here. I just find it hard to understand what your place in all of this is." she said slowly, as if she was carefully selecting every word one by one.
"It's accidental." Ted shrugged. "Not like I barged my way in here. I just fell into it. Nothing's by intention, I'm just unlucky."
"An accident?" She mused. "Didn't you first leave your world by saving someone who was about to be hit by a car?"
Ted blushed in shame. He fidgeted in place a bit before he finally swallowed and answered, "No. I didn't save anyone."
"Huh? Then how..."
"My friend jumped into the street to save someone. I...I just stood there. When he got hit, some portal thing opened up, and I got sucked into it..."
Ted went on to explain his ordeals and how he ended up on the floating island with no sun and just one building.
"That is quite the story," Pynga mused. "But isn't that all too much of a coincidence?"
"What? You think I did it all subconsciously?" Ted scoffed.
"No, that couldn't be it." Pynga agreed. "But it doesn't sit right."
Ted felt something cold press into his hand. Then he felt someone close his fingers over it.
"What's..." Ted began to ask.
"Even if she's lost interest in you, that doesn't mean your safe here." Pynga explained. "Especially if you can't see through the black."
"I mean, normally my eyes adjust, but it's like this place is completely devoid of light." Ted replied.
"Your struggles are only beginning." She said, "Your true trial is yet to pass. Be wary. If you fail, your friend's lives will be forfeit as well."
"Huh? What are you..." Ted started to ask.
"Goodbye, and good luck."
Ted felt a strange warmth emanate from whatever had been put in his fist. Before he could say anything else, it felt like his entire body was sucked inside the strange thing.
THUD
Ted landed on a hard surface and let out a pained groan. He slowly got up and felt a sharp pain in his side. He reached down, and his body felt strangely hard around his hip. But before he could lift up his shirt to check he heard,
"Grrrrrr."
It was a wolf, and Ted immediately went into fight or flight and took in his surroundings. He was in a deep fog in a small room, and he could just now make out the angry eye of a massive wolf.
"Uh oh..." he gulped.
