Sid quickly climbed up the leg of the giant machine. Near the fleshy room, Sentenza held his fire. It seemed like their plans had changed. Now he was waiting to see how the fight would go. And no one else seemed too willing to step out of the room and into the middle of the fight.
BANG!
As the robot got a little too close, Sentenza fired at its center of mass. His bullet slammed into the metal, and let off a small explosion that knocked the machine to the side.
"What! How could there be that much force in that miniscule bullet?" The scientist's voice crackled.
Sentenza held his spot. "I feel like this isn't our fight." He said as he pulled out a cigarillo and plopped it into his mouth without lighting it. "Like we walked into a two man game of poker three turns in."
"Did you not see that massive sword?" Og'drimun scoffed. "It stabbed right into us!"
"And didn't you say that the ice thing was about to attack us?" Lulu added.
Sentenza nodded. "Yep. Both seem ready to kill, but they're not here for us." He watched as the wolf tried to take advantage of the lack of balance the machine had for the moment.
"Though, if given the chance I'd wager they'd team up to wipe us out." He added.
"I mean, sounds kinda like that's our fight!" Og'drimun snorted.
I mean, he's got a point. Death agreed. Should we really just wait for them to try and kill us?
"I mean, we don't even know either of them," Ted threw out there. "We could work something out if we tried talking to them. Maybe?"
"I don't think talk will do a lot of good by the sound of things." Narissa remarked as she continued to work on cementing their escape.
Outside the fight continued, and much to the annoyance of the scientist, Sid continued to climb. Jolts of electricity, spikes, falling metal plates, saw blades, despite it all, Sid continued undeterred. It was almost as if he could predict the security measures before they popped up.

Finally, Sid made it to the glass dome. There was still a hole through it, and with a gracious flip, Sid made his way inside.
"What is it you hope to accomplish here?" A young girl's voice called out to Sid.
Sid looked around the room. There was so much technology all around. But, it all seemed like it was shut off. And of course, in the center and sitting in the chair was the corpse of the old scientist. Sliced in half, and surrounded by a pool of blood.
Sid didn't hesitate and inspected the corpse. Clearly, it was real. Everything down to the wear on the liver from severe drinking.
"There won't be the answers you want," the girl continued. "Not as long as you continue to deny the obvious truth."
SCHWING!
The wolf swung the sword towards the machine's legs. With a quick jump, the robot avoided the strike. It spun around, and its legs split into six spider-like ones.
The legs dug into the ceiling, and the robot didn't miss a step. It sent out a hundred of its frozen, spiked limbs like whips. The other half came together and formed its own massive sword. Behind the onslaught of spiked arms, the massive sword swung forward to slice through the wolf.
The wolf's eye darted around the oncoming attacks. More ice started to cover his body, and even froze over his shut eye. He dodged left and right past each of the whips. Just like before, when any got too close, they slowed down as ice covered them more and more.
But the sword was so massive, the ice that spread over it didn't slow it down a bit. The wolf lifted up his own sword, and slammed it against the metal blade.
CLANG!
The two swords slammed against each other. The striking weapons hit with so much force a shockwave flew out from where they collided.
Sentenza lifted a hand up, and held his hat down as the wave of air washed over him. He shifted the cigarillo from one side and to the other.
Whoa! Did Sid get caught in that? Death asked with worry dripping from his every word.
"Nope. He's inside that thing." Sentenza replied calmly as his clothes flapped in the wind.
Death stuck his head out and looked around. The blast of air was still coming, and it was strong enough that Death's skull blew off of his neck. As it started to fly away, Sentenza reached out and caught his skull atop his pistol.
Oh, uh thank bro. Death said as he grabbed for his skull.
As he put his head back on his neck, Death looked around the battlefield. More shockwaves flew around the battlefield as the wolf and robot clashed swords.
Okay, he's where now? Because bro is totally wiped. Like he doesn't exist anymore, you know? Death explained.
"Wait, you can't find Sid? What's happening out there?" Ted asked anxiously.
"Could be dead," Sentenza admitted, "but I doubt it."
"Huh? What you believe in him too much or something?" Og'drimun asked.
"Nope. A more practical reason." Sentenza replied. "Shot him six times in the chest and back. Couldn't stop him. Threw him off the edge of the world, couldn't stop him either. Left him face down in water. He was fine. The guy is pretty much indestructible."
"Just because you couldn't do it, doesn't mean someone else could." Lulu pointed out.
"Fair enough. Just not that quickly. I mean, he just crawled into that giant thing." Sentenza explained. "I doubt he'd be wiped out so completely that quickly. Could've just disappeared like he did before."
Oh yeah, Death said with a firm nod. That did happen, didn't it?
"Did you already forget that?" Lulu asked.
I mean, tons of stuff has happened. Death shrugged. It's been a wild ride, you know?
Ted peeked his head out of the room. Immediately, the rush of air threatened to rip his head off. He quickly pulled himself back in and started to gasp for air.
"How can...never mind how you're standing," Ted gasped. "How can you breath with the wind like that?"
Sentenza glanced over at Ted as his clothes continued to flutter in the breeze. Instead of saying anything, he gave Ted a quick wink. Then he turned his eyes back to the fight between the two powerful forces.
Primal ice facing down advanced technology. To the untrained eye, it may have looked like an even fight. However, each clash of steel and ice slightly favored the wolf. With every blow, the beast gained more and more of an advantage. Bit by bit, he was overcoming the machind.
