Sid stopped in his tracks. He had entered a massive room. Pipes of various sizes ran across and through the walls. Rust covered most of them and various liquids dripped from cracks in the obviously ancient pipes. In the center of the room was a giant staircase that was worn smooth by centuries of wear. On either side were giant statues that were so worn down that they looked more like freestanding pillars.
This was the room where the others had reached their first real obstacle, but with gravity inverted, it was nothing more than a massive room.
Sid slowly scanned his eyes around the room. It was so massive this took him over a minute to just briefly roll his eyes over it.

"Curious," Sid pondered to himself.
Eventually, his eyes fell on the giant staircase. How could they not? It was clearly the centerpiece of the room, and its merely existence brought up so many questions.
The size, the location, the destination. Clearly, there was a purpose for all of it, but who could answer those questions?
Sid couldnt resist the pull. He ignored all of the side passages. Every path fell away from his eyes as he zeroed in on the stairs.
It was just a moment, and then Sid was standing at the bottom of the stairs. They were much larger up close.
The first step went all the way up to Sid's waist. And, it led up far into the distance. It seemed to stretch all the way to the heavens.
Sid stood there for a moment. Then, he reached his arm up onto the step and pulled himself up. The first step of many.
