Chapter 81 Tail Battle of Word Part1
----------------------------------------
"Lord Lily! I bring news for Edenthal. Wait, what are you guys doing?" Sarielle asked. "Farming, huh? So you told the leftover soldiers to do farming work? Excellent. Wait, how did you do it so fast? I never see any kind of arming tools order from Regoia. How did you acquire this many tools?" Sarielle asked.
"The troops all borrowed them from their family!" Lily puffed her chest. "We are just getting started."
"Wait just a minute. Can you just borrow them like that? Did all of these troops are farmer's sons and daughters?" Sairelle asked, "I thought they were drafted randomly."
"Lily managed to persuade the troops to borrow from their neighbors too or any of their acquaintances who worked as a farmer." Lhorne sighed.
"Whoa, amazing."
"Well, as expected. Though these tools were too much. I thought you guys were poor on metals." Jona asked. "Edenthal seemed to have some rooms."
"Nono, we don't. All these tools were borrowed." Lily shook her head in denial.
"In dwarves, we lent tools as a matter of course. There is a myth that if we don't lend our tools to at least three other people, the souls of the tools will become brittle, and the tools will be easily broken!" Jona nodded happily.
"Wow, they have those customs?" Lily asked. "So, theoretically, for farming tools, how many times can you lend them to others? Is three times the limit? It is for free, right?"
"Ahem, we seemed to be getting off-topic. Lord Lily." Lisey coughed. "We have letters from the high council that needs your attention."
"Ah, yes. Sorry." Sarielle coughed. "This is an invitation letter from the high council to Lord Lily, and they wish for you to attend a meeting scheduled for next week."
"So soon!" Lhorne exclaimed. "That's practically tomorrow. Why are they calling Lord Lily?"
"The letter stops there, but Lord Edelweiss told me it involves the trade with the dwarves and the new wooden armor and weapons. I think you should attend too, Lhorne. As her aide." he noted.
"Am I going to get scolded?" Lily asked fearfully.
"I don't think so." Sarielle shrugged.

"Alright. Let's go there. I will bring Alith, Nora, and Lhorne. I hope Sana can fill in Lhorne's position for a while." Lily replied.
Five days later, we arrived at Hoeth with all the luggage. Just in case, we bring the wooden armor, spears, and the newly made wooden club and maces. An elven soldier greeted us politely. Lily noticed a slight grimace on his face, but he still behaved adequately to us.
"Greetings Lord Lily. May you be blessed by the coming sun in the sky. As always, you came earlier than the sun, and we appreciate the swift light from you." Lord Edelweiss smiled as she welcomed us to the castle of the kings, where the high council was waiting for our summons.
“Greetings Lord Edelweiss. I am blessed by the verdant green of the grasslands, which welcomed my coming. I am honored to bless you all until the appearance of twilight." We exchanged some pleasantries and sat down at Hoeth's capital bureau.
Hoeth was lorded by King Garme. The castle that was presented to us was symmetrical on two sides which is honestly better than the dizzying four symmetry OCD room Edelweiss decorated. The room was furnished with a round table, and the lords sat with eleven chairs surrounding it.
"The knights of the round tables." I snickered
"They are not knights. They are lords though?" Lily countered.
"Sorry. Just making some joke." I replied.
"Let us sit down. We have something to discuss." Edelweiss said. We did as we were told. The room was tense as everyone looked into us. The king was absent. And apparently, this meeting was not deemed to be very important as only the four central assholes with their prime minister, Edelweiss, and Alistar was attending the conference.
"Let us begin our discussion. My name is Resse and since the king was not present, I shall therefore lead the meeting."
"Alright." Lily continued.
"First of all, Lord Ghander was mildly interested in your new invention of weapons. And thus, for our war effort, we would like to purchase about a thousand sets of such armor. Will you fulfill this duty?"
"How much are we going to be paid for each armor?" Lily asked. Everyone was silent.
"Ahem. This is for the war effort. I hope you can contribute as much as you can." Resse replied.
"Ah. Of course. I am willing to sell it for a low price. However, giving it for free was impossible. The workers that made those armors need to be paid." Lily asked.
"I thought you already have five thousand of wooden armor? And since Lord Ghander has so graciously spared you four thousand troops from participating. I suppose you have a lot to spare, no?" Resse asked. Damn, we lost this round.
"Well. I suppose if it is only one thousand, I can manage." Lily gave up as there was no way out of this. If we force the issue, we would be considered unwilling participants in liberation.
"However, I need to ask. Lord Resse, I heard the assault on the undead land was halted indefinitely?" Lily asked.
"We are increasing our scouts. Your equipment will be used on them as they provide great mobility. That's why we need them so soon." Resse smiled. "We are keeping our eyes wide open as we were looking into chances to assault the undead while defending against a human at the same time."
"Very well. If I can help with the undead, I will. Sorry for asking."
"Your help will be appreciated, Lord Lily. It is my men who will use them." Alistar replied.
"Now, onto the next topic with the dwarves. We are pleased they would trade more of their ores with us. But did you need to open our food market freely to them? That is against the food security law we have." Resse replied.
The debate began. We needed to defend ourselves from their verbal assault now.
