The beast shop’s assistant slowly told the store manager what happened in details.
The information he gave on each of the beasts that were sold and the amount of money they received caused the shop manager to become more and more confounded by the situation.
“A cat demon? We don’t have such a thing in the shop. And the snow stoat that arrived today, I didn’t tell you about it, how would you know?”
In fact, many of the information that the young man told Kairos were things that he himself did not know, however, the young man did not for a second doubt that all the things he said and done were of his own will and in the end they did not realise the value of the contractual beasts they sold today.
They are still cheering the amount of profit they made in a single day and have soon forgotten the oddities for today’s visit. The assistant himself is commended by the shop manager, and in the near future, he will be recommended as the assistant manager of the store.
But, if they had known the value of the contractual beasts that they sold today, everything would’ve turned out differently, and the owner of the store would be crying himself to sleep for many years to come.
High above the capital city of Saint Empire, the gigantic pair of eyes continued watching the group heading back to the dorm. A slight flicker of annoyance flashed across it, “Hmmm? It seems like they have finally noticed me.”
The eyelids finally shut then it disappears like it was never there.
Back at Kairos’ room, as the guys started splitting up the cultivation pills that they have bought while the infant beasts, the royal wyvern, the demon cat, the snow stoat and the small turtle went to play together with Aisa at a corner of the room.
The small white dragon stood there proudly as it watched the others mingles. When one of the small fellows started becoming rowdy, she would huff gently at it, and the tiny thing would slide backwards as if pushed back by a huge gust of wind.
The baby beasts immediately started making a game out of it, and even Aisa enjoyed puffing them backwards with her breath.
After receiving their share of training resources for the six months holidays, Kairos took the crystal eggs out from his robes one after another.
The first crystal is the golden egg they won from Calculus. Unlike the usual purple colour gem that the Orcs’ eggs are, this crystal egg is unique in colour and the reason why Calculus brought it home.
The second one is the rainbow crystal egg of the heavenly parakeet, followed by the dull colourless crystal eggs, and…..?
What’s this?
Kairos had pulled out another crystal egg from his robes, a yellow coloured one.
And then another. A red crystal
And afterwards a blue crystal, a green crystal and a silver crystal.
The others looked at him taking out these five coloured crystals with wide eyes, but even he himself has no idea how they ended up in his possession.
Aisa noticed this from far and bounced over to them and gently touched the gems with her claw.
Oooohhh! This is a Divine Mystic Fox gem (yellow), and this is a Nine Realms Hell Hound’s gem (red), a Heavenly Lightning Kirin gem (blue), a True-life Hydra gem (green) and isn’t this an Alastor’s gem (silver)?
Yay! They will make fun hide-and-seek friends~ But, they’ll be hard to hatch…
She did not question how they landed in his hands, but considering the chain of suspicious things that happened in the pet shop today, Kairos already concluded there is definitely tampering going on. However, what happened so far have greatly benefited the group.
Though there are dangers in gaining such high-level beasts, he quickly dismissed any malicious intents behind the one that did all these for them. Firstly, their group are simply too young and powerless to be of any real value towards someone with such unparalleled means. At least, at their current state.
Secondly, if such a person wanted to harm them, why go about such lengths? Not even a single strike will be needed since such treasures could probably move large clans against them already.
Finally, those who scheme to allure them would at least leave a message or a way to contact, yet there was nothing. It almost felt like the one that did this merely waved his hand, and everything just happened without difficulty.
After a stunned moment, Kairos calmed down and sent Aisa a mental message filled with curiosity, “Do you know where did these come from? And, what beasts are they, the colourless one I bought and the golden one we won from Calculus?”
Even though Aisa is very young now, and have all the traits of a baby dragon, she is nevertheless the same holy primordial dragon that existed since time began.
After her physical body was destroyed, she had gone into stasis and did not know what happened in the world, but all her memories prior to her destruction are still intact.
Those five gems… they just popped out! But, Aisa met their ancestors before. They are all stiffy old fellows, but very durable playmates! HEHE
Kairos shuddered hearing her giggle, however, the words that dragon continued caused him to shiver even more.

Aisa doesn’t know what the golden and colourless eggs are. How mysterious! Can Aisa eat them if they do not hatch?
“N...no way! Those are expensive! Aisa, I’ll treat you to some other food so don’t eat them okay?”
Okay! But Aisa only wants rooooasted meat!
After asking Aisa a few more questions without receiving understandable answers in return, he gave up and sent Jim to invite Snow over.
Among all the people Kairos have met, she is the most knowledgeable one, and after swearing fealty to him with a soul slip, there’s no reason not to trust her.
She arrived just a few moments later with Jim on her heel. When they opened the door for her, they were stunned by the sight of a tome that was larger than even her torso.
This is a tome she took from her clan, and the information in it is only more and not less when compared to the one provided by the academy that they used previously to identify Aisa.
Tommy who saw her walking into the room suddenly rushed forward.
“SNOW!! I love the armguards that you and Leaf made. Thank you!!” He shouted suddenly and bowed deeply at Snow showing his gratitude.
When she saw him flying towards her, she shuddered involuntarily at once.
As a young girl she is rather sensitive, and since the auction event she kept having odd imaginations about how Tommy kissed the armguard repeatedly, and sometimes in her mind, the armguard will turn into an infant.
Images would then spring up one after another, like how Tommy and she would hold hands while pushing a baby in a cart. She even embarrassedly imagined if the baby would look cute. Her trembling hand lost hold of the heavy tome, and it fell.
*Thomp!*
With a loud thud, it landed heavily. The impressive sound it made caused everyone to worry about their feet. Surely, it would create a terrible injury.
*OWWWWWWWWWWWWWW*
Just when they were wondering how pitiful a living soul will become after being struck by that, someone valiantly decided to demonstrate.
With a ghastly wail that made a pig’s squeal sound sophisticated, Alan rolled about on the floor holding his legs.
It really isn’t his fault this time. While the rest were distracted by Tommy, he noticed his fated beast had crawled towards Snow. Seeing the outside world behind the opened door, the tiny turtle was filled with curiosity and scurried over, but who knew that at the same time the giant tome would drop, right on top of it.
In his urgency to save his contract beast, Alan rushed forward trying to block the falling book, sadly the tome weighs more than he estimated and it slipped through his grip and crushed his feet.
While he rolls on the floor, everyone rushed over. While it may look funny, but the weight of that tome is no joke.
“T…tu…turtleee!” he cried out in pain.
“Wha…? OH! Check under the tome!”
The guys quickly pulled up the deadly weapon, revealing a tiny black turtle turtling beneath the book. It crawled about as if there wasn’t any problem at all. When the guys came over, it raised a flipper as though saying, “What are all these fusses for? These bumpkins never saw a handsome turtle before?
This tome’s cover is made by the impressive ‘heavy mountain iron’. It is a durable but dense ore that is equalled in rarity to the vortex metal, but because of its natural magnetic properties, it is often used for book covers instead of being forged as weapons.
The book’s pages are made from fine leather, befitting a tome belonging to a great clan. Such a book weighs a ton that even for martial practitioners like Snow could only barely lug it around. It is, after all, an encyclopaedia filled with difficult information and packed with pages.
From the impact Alan felt, it is definitely equal to a blow from an F ranker.
“Odd, the tiny turtle is completely fine?”
“Its shell must be real tough even though it is no bigger than my thumb.”
“I don’t think this is a regular beast,” Snow interjected, “Let’s fix his foot first and take a look at these beasts you guys bought. Somehow, I have a feeling that they are all extremely unique.”
Once again everyone sat down in a circle, this time Alan’s feet has been bandaged like a ball and set on the ground.
“Bwahahaa, Alan is such an idiot.”
Now that they know that the injury is just a small case, they couldn’t help burst out laughing.
“After mastering the Jellyfish fists, he wants to practice the Duck legs martial arts. Don’t stop him!!”
“And, his contract beast… HAHAHA! It...I..t..IT’S A TURTLE. Imagine him summoning his contract beast and sending it to fight.”
“The only way he could win a fight with that tiny little thing is to pick it up and fling it at the enemy.”
“I can imagine that small turtle flying towards his opponent’s face already. With its tiny little wriggling feet… Hahahaha!”
“Aw, come’on guys. Don’t laugh at my contract beast. Snow, what kind of turtle is this that even the tome couldn’t hurt it at all?”
A contract beast that is only as large as someone’s thumb but could take a blow equal to a full force attack of an F ranker is rather amazing. Even unheard of!
Snow quickly flipped through the large book, searching under the magical beasts, turtle category.
“Hmm, this is quite interesting! Look,” she points at a portrait at the top of a certain page.
“A rainbow turtle in a black ocean? What is this?”
“That’s right! I think Alan’s black turtle is a variant species of this.
Oh, and it’s not an ocean. This is a part of something called the celestial space where celestial bodies are. We are also living on a celestial body in the middle of the celestial space, and this Cosmos Wanderer can travel through this space like its own backyard.”
“C..celestial space? What is it made of?”
“Nothing. It’s made of nothing at all!”
“Then how does this turtle move in nothing?!”
“Ki, what else?” Snow looked at Alan like he is a dope, although the truth is he is no dope but it is just that all the boys here simply lacked knowledge due to their background.
Seeing their confused expressions, Snow spent the next ten minutes explaining to them about the celestial bodies.
The world that they live in is merely one of the countless worlds, part of the universe. Each of those lands is called a celestial body, and they are hung in emptiness. That emptiness is called the celestial space.
Some beings with great power may travel through it powered by their own strength. Some species tame great beasts to achieve this instead. She told them that there are also records of powerful species that travel through the celestial space by using special constructs. Some metallic, others organic.
However, a Cosmos Wanderer is a great beast that cannot be tamed for travel. Their violent nature and ability to blast holes in the largest celestial bodies caused them to be highly feared and respected. Even their young ones have enough power to challenge transcendent beings.
“That’s weird. This species should be extremely aggressive and just as powerful, but your black turtle seemed peaceful and no different from a normal magical beast.
I have never heard of a black variant before. Maybe it is weaker?”
“Nooooo!! I don’t want to be stuck with a tiny turtle forever!”
“Nevertheless, you should take good care of it. It seemed much friendlier than the original kind, but it is highly possible to be a Cosmos Wanderer. Even a dropping tome did not hurt it the slightest. You are already Peak E rank, and you still got injured, but as a newborn, it is just fine,” Snow said with calm analysis.
Unfortunately, her understanding of Alan’s strength, however, isn’t up to date. The young boy has already trained his physical strength till Man rank, Earth grade and is even about the breakthrough to Heaven grade. That was the reason why the falling book had only caused him a slight injury.
To be fair, while she could feel the aura rolling off Alan and accurately judge him to be Peak E rank, there is no way for her to measure his physical strength with a look.
“What about my baby stoat?” Jones who could no longer hold back his curiosity and started asking as well.
