Chapter 100: Creation Ability

Chapter 100: Creation Ability

What Kairos is offering them is simply incredulous.

Although they are to continue living under the roof of the Devilheart family as they had, now they have been given a new future. At this point in time, they no longer doubt that the young boy before them could create cultivation methods.

If he could not do such a thing, then there is no reason for doing things in such a roundabout way.

Now that they are affected by the body weakening poison they could not even lift a finger to resist practitioners like these young boys, even if they wanted to. Just like how a person will feel during a bad cold, lethargic and weak.

Killing them all will not need more than a quarter of an hour. Without access to their internal Ki, they could not even run away.

Even if they have the best martial arts skill in the world right now, they won't perform better than a soft-legged prawn.*

One by one they took up the jade slip that has been infused with their soul and instead of just setting the conditions as Kairos asked, they mumbled among themselves, discussing .on what to utter.

Then they spoke as one in front of the boys, “By my blood, I give my word to not utter about the origin of the cultivation method that Kairos will impart us, in part or in full, by will or by force, to another soul outside of the ones present in this place at this moment.

I give my word to never plot by my own designs against the Snowdrifts, and all of her members.

And to the one called Kairos, so long as he and his group treat me as a member of Snowdrifts, I shall faithfully serve the group as my own.

To never deter from duty regardless of sacrifice.

To never shrink from responsibilities, for the good of Snowdrifts.

To always uphold the brotherhood.

And to never stray even in death.”

A moment went by. The fifteen of them smiled at the young boys that were made speechless.

All that Kairos required of them is to swear never to divulge the origin of their cultivation method and to never plot against his friends because it would become dangerous if others knew that Kairos really could create and alter cultivation methods.

However, the fifteen had other ideas. They decided to not only fulfil what Kairos asked of them, but in addition, they showed their sincerity and promised even unto sacrificing themselves for the good of Snowdrifts, all for the sake of being treated as one of his own.

This decision wasn’t impromptu. All of them thoroughly discussed this and decided as a whole.

Although this sounded unbelievable to Kairos and his group, for people like them who had no future from the start, these cultivation methods that Kairos promised was like a light at the end of the tunnel.

Cultivation methods, in fact, are how a person can attune oneself to nature and pull in greater and purer amounts of energy into their body.

It grants the practitioner power beyond human limits, strengthening them over time. Some greater cultivation methods also temper the soul, and a few very rare top tiered cultivations even refine a person’s foundation, granting him greater potential than he was born with.

There are many cultivation methods that focus on certain elements. It comes with the benefits of helping a practitioner absorb the desired attribute from their surroundings, and grants them advantages that come from cultivating elemental forces.**

Needless to say, the more types of attributes a cultivation method can train in then the more complex it is.

At this moment, even if these men and women had suffered from being lied to, made use of, and was fated to be cast away, they finally found something that could cling their hopes to. It was the young boy’s manner that attracted them.

Kairos himself did not notice. He had a way about his words and a special kind of charisma that caused others to naturally trust him. The students in his academy, for example, thought that he was undoubtedly from the gentry from the way he carried himself.

It was a nobleness that came from his very bones, a true embodiment of grace and gallantry despite being the son of a village ranger. He was elegant in his smallest movements yet bold with his actions.

These characteristics have always been there, but only after he cultivated in the Origin manuscript that they shined.

When his friends looked at this situation, they had an odd look on their faces at first.

They saw how quickly the fifteen converted their allegiance to Kairos. Yet because it is Kairos, they feel it is only natural for people to do so.

The boy went to each one them, and one by one and he placed his fingers on their wrist to infuse a strand of Origin Energy to check their body structures and the inner workings of their current cultivation method.

Afterwards, he asked each of them the same set of questions.

“Tell me every single thing honestly, you may whisper, but you must not lie.

What are your favourite objects, hobbies, past time?

What are your dream, your future and your hopes?

What are the things you dislike?

What do you hate about yourself?

What kind of person do you look up to?”

.

.

.

These questions that are personal, they honestly answered him though he was a stranger just moments ago. They did not know that what they said is related to their Dao, and the ideal form of cultivation for them.

A person’s Dao is, in fact, his or her path in cultivation and each is unique to the practitioner.

After hearing each of their answers, Kairos started to devise the proper cultivation methods tailored to their characters, mentalities and body structures.

Usually, a person will first need to dissipate their current cultivation and revert their rank to nothing. If one practices a new technique and it clashed with their current cultivation method, it could backfire and cause irreparable damage. In the best scenario, if this happens, they will suffer terrible internal injuries. In the worst case, it will cause them to fall into depravity and bloodthirsty madness, murdering all in their paths with an unholy rage.

What Kairos is doing is unorthodox, but he moved with confidence answering any questions they had.

Their expressions were filled with shock as he told them their cultivation methods. He spoke of heavenly truths, and wisdom far beyond his age and that thunderstruck daze slowly turned into a trance as they listened to his words.

For the next three days he continued without a rest, and as he taught them, the people around noticed that his eyes started glowing dimly golden. This time, however, he did not lose his memories like before.

Hmmm, Kairos has started to become Kairos?

The small dragon hidden inside of his pocket were thrilled, but the boy is so completely focused on creating the best cultivation techniques he could for these guys that he did not notice how everyone is staring at him.

Unlike the general cultivation methods, his way was not rigidly set in stone but will grow with the practitioner’s Dao.

As the user’s Martial Way progresses and becomes more refined, Kairos’ cultivation method will start hinting them a Dao unique to each of them, bringing them into the legendary realm of the Heavenly Path.

This meeting with the boys have changed their fate and brought down a path that has nearly limitless potential.

There will be differences of course. Depending on how each of these guys cultivates, they may choose a fast cultivation path that is good for the near future, but it will become slower than others in the future. Or they may have a steady cultivation speed that improves at the same pace throughout their journey.

In the end, the most crucial element right now is to have enough time to practice.

“Listen. Your cultivation method is solely yours, no one would be able to learn it. It will make you into an Origin Energy user, and I gave each of you a body tempering method as well.

Remember. The fake cultivation method I placed in the jade slip is unable to give the practitioner Origin Energy nor does it have the body tempering method, so you must never reveal your abilities easily. Understood?”

“Yes, young master!”

Having tried his cultivation methods, the faith they had with him was no longer like before and were filled with respect to a boy less than half their age. To the fifteen of them, he is both their benefactor and saviour.

This trust they had is of course not unfounded. After all, not just any genius could immediately deduce a person’s current cultivation and provide such a perfect cultivation.
