Back at the place where Kairos and gang surround the Orc King, the high tension had completely dissolved, and their combat intent faded away with it.
No one has the heart to continue after meeting an immortal. The aura that Old Ye had was like the deep ocean, both overwhelming and unfathomable that even the Orc King felt shell-shocked.
Everyone looked at Kairos, knowing that the immortal’s disappearance is somehow related with him. But what they saw gave them no answers, and only made them more confused. Few knew what truly happened, but they managed to hide their emotions well. The name he called, Aisa, must’ve summoned the primordial one. Against a mere immortal, it couldn’t even be called a fight.
The Orc King recalled its troops, and the Orc army turned towards the forests once more. There was no reason to continue, especially when the target of its vengeance, Calculus, had disappeared. Though the blood feud was unresolved, no parties here had the slightest interest left in fighting.
“They are leaving? Commander, do you wish to pursue them?” someone from the blue team asked Luciette.
Hearing that, Kairos quickly walked towards Luciette. The Orc King is not an opponent that they could afford to fight separately.
“Hi, I’m Kairos, Commander of the red team,” he introduced himself before Luciette could reply to her team.
She returned his greetings, curiously. After all, almost half of the reports she had received since the start of this exam is about him.
Having approached her first, Kairos immediately opened the topic, “Luciette, I don’t think it is wise to pursue them. Besides, it seems that the history books were wrong about the Orcs being a bloodthirsty race.”
He was trying to dissuade her from continuing the fight. In fact, Luciette has half the mind to give chase and hunt down the Orc King.
History records how fearsome the Orcs had been, a race that embodies war and anger. Should they be left alone to grow, she fears that they may once again threaten the existence of humankind.
However, right now the most illustrious person within this exam told her that the legendary monster, Orc King is merely misunderstood?
“No matter if it is bloodthirsty or not, it is far too dangerous to let it go.”
“Perhaps, however, do you think we will be able to take it down by ourselves?”
“Even so, we couldn’t just let it go!”
“If we do not let it leave peacefully, not only will our teams be destroyed, we will also give it another reason to hate humans.
We cannot fear everything. If we try to forcefully prevent a future that we do not want for our selfish desires, we will be creating that same future we wished to avoid.”
Kairos spoke passionately. In his heart, he believed that the Orc King is not the violent monster that the history books portrayed it to be. At the very least he can confirm that it is not impossible to communicate with the Orcs.

“I can’t say that I totally agree with you, but maybe you are right. Even if we caught up, we would most likely suffer a beating unless the instructors arrive on time.
Don’t you feel it is odd how the instructors did not come and remove such a threat?”
“Hmm, I was wondering about that as well.”
…..
The students did not know that at this time, the instructors themselves are also having a difficult situation on their hands. The crystal ball had been smashed by someone unknown, and once the viewing crystal was gone, the three Head instructors could no longer hold themselves back. Anxious about their students, Yi De, the Disciplinarian Head Instructor and Jones’ God-father, lead a rampage together with Er Tian, the Head of Student Affairs, and San Du Hou, the Head of Logistics Instructor.
Soon, besides a few that chose to be the neutral party, the three found themselves facing all the other instructors.
Fortunately, these three old chaps are incredibly strong in battle, pushing back over twenty others that were trying to restrain them.
Unfortunately, the school did not send out a suppressing force because the crystal ball was broken before the identity of the Orc Leader was revealed and, curiously, Kairos’ reports on the legendary Orc King was missing somehow.
No doubt, if they knew that the Orc King has returned, the entire Empire will be thrown into chaos.
…..
Back at the examination grounds, Luciette had been convinced to up on the chase, and she commanded her forces to pack up and return to base.
By now the young dragon had already played with the unfortunate Land Wyrm for a while and returned to Kairos’ robes. She gave a small satisfied grunt and then snuggled in his bosom finding a good position to sleep in.
Although seeing his team getting ready to leave, Jones ignored them and sat down cross-legged in deep thoughts. After his battle with the Orc King, he is especially impressed by how it defeated everyone with mere physical prowess and is inspired to train in that direction too.
“I can probably do it too if I train more in external martial arts. And then I’ll be ever cooler! PoW! BOOM!! OH YEAH!!”
While he is mumbling to himself, Alan Jim, Tommy and Edward are gathered in a discussion at the other corner.
“….. No way!” Edward said.
“Come on, it will definitely work!” Alan urged him.
“I’ll back you up immediately, and then I’ll pass it to Alan.”
“No, pass it to Kairos. He is way too nice, let’s make him into the bad guy this time. Haha!”
“Alright, good idea. Edward, you ready?”
“N…nooo… Aren't we too evil? She came to help us.”
“You’re the only want who can do this, don’t you want to win?”
Luciette looked around, making sure that the area is cleared and the blue team are ready to move out anytime. She saw that exasperating Jones ignoring the team again, sitting alone in meditation, and she rolled her eyes at him.
Because of the close proximity of the red team to them right now, she is keeping everyone on high-alert, then suddenly Kairos waved at her from afar then came over.
“Thank you for your help Luciette. We would probably be dead without Jones and the blue team’s timely assistance. I owe you one.”
Hearing that, Luciette’s expression softened. She wasn’t expecting any thanks, but it still feels good to be appreciated.
But, the moment she let her guard down, an arrow flew straight at her from an angle that could not be seen.
*Thonk!*
“AHH!” Luciette cries out, a swell quickly forming on her forehead as she held it with both her hands while rolling around in a fetal position on the ground.
Jim’s figure suddenly flickered and appeared next to them in high speed, shocking Kairos in the process.
And then, Jim robbed Luciette.
He took her commander’s pouch before anyone else could react and sifted through it.
“The flag! AWESOME! Kairos here!!!” Jim said softly and threw the flag that is the winning tool to Kairos.
The others started to rush over to stop them, but Alan stood alone against the entire blue team while Jim and Edward retreated to find a vantage point that could support him.
“TOMMY! MAKE SURE KAIROS GETS AWAY!” Alan yells as he crossed his tonfas in front of him.
“EEEEHHH?! Luciette I’m sorry! I didn’t plan any of this ~ ~” Kairos yelled as he was dragged away by Tommy.
The latter, fending off anyone in their path. His power to break through enemy forces was tremendous. Even the Orc armies had to give way to him when he infused himself with Origin Energy, much less regular twelve-year-old.
After breaking through the crowd, Tommy turned around, and without hesitation, he gathered all his power into his arm and sent out a powerful punch. His attack blasted away those students that were close by with his fist wind. Then, he chanted his martial incantation quickly and unleashed a thunderous blizzard in the middle of the forest that smashes back any that dared to venture close.
Although this only lasted for ten seconds, it was enough for them to get away.
The blue team responded quickly even though Luciette is incapacitated on the ground. A small bump on her head is impossible to stop her, but somehow Jim managed to find time to stab her with several tranquilising needles, and now the blue team are without a commander to lead them.
The red team immediately went forward to assist, but being far away from them, they could only clash with the rear end of the blue team.
Kairos and his group had separated from their group when they chased after Jones. But, between the four of them, they are more than capable of helping their captain escape.
With Alan, Jim, Edward, blocking and Tommy creating a path out, Kairos gained a big lead ahead.
And thus, he began his two days rush towards the West Hill to secure the victory.
“AHHHHHHH!!! What have we done? Did we attack our benefactor and stole her flag!?!”
