After the celebration, Hae-Hyuk began to teach Jin about the technique. It brought many benefits with one being that it gave a balance between all 250 visual techniques. With just this one on, he was as if having on a downgraded version of all 250. One shouldn't underestimate it for being a downgraded version. This was a downgraded version of a combination of 250 techniques. It was no joke.
And it wasn't the sole benefit. One could still activate other visual techniques at the same time. For example, if he wanted to have a more powerful sight pertaining to a specific domain, maybe far sight, then he could just activate another visual far sight technique to complement this one. It was the master of visual techniques.
But the greatest benefit of all was that it brought a very special ability. With this technique, one could see more than just spiritual energy. One could see its quantity. In a relative way of course. The deeper the shine, the more it was packed with energy.
A small demonstration from Hae-Hyuk illustrated the principle. He crafted a ball of spiritual energy in both hands. One with very higher spiritual density. Of course, that one was stronger. And Jin could see it. Even though it would have looked the same otherwise. As a matter of fact, Min-Su couldn't tell the difference between them. To him, they appeared to be both basic spiritual energy balls.
The effect this brought was tremendous. In battles, fake attacks are very common. Especially in spiritual warrior clashes. After all, spiritual energy retains the same color regardless of how much concentrated it is. And being a non-physical energy, it doesn't have a density per se. It can't be physically seen.
The fact that Jin could now see it meant that he would be able to see through all feints. But it wasn't all. With enough effort and work, he might be able to create a brand-new fighting style that fitted him. He previously thought that his martial arts became useless once entering the spiritual accumulation realm. Due to the incredible techniques. But with this, he would have to think about it once more.
His martial arts techniques were based on the principle of redirection of force. To make it work, he needed to understand and see the opponent's movements, grasp their force and find the best way to use it for himself. He was previously unable to do so. For the simple reason that he couldn't judge the true might behind every technique. In fact, most cultivators were either guessing or giving it their all in every technique they used precisely because they weren't aware of how much might it might have. Of course, with enough experience, their senses developed and they could approximately gauge.

But with this technique? He didn't need to build years of experience to get to there. He could see it from the start. If he could work around it, he might very well find a way to create a fighting style that truly suited his past and present self.
He gazed at his Master. This weird man didn't lie. He did deliver on his promise. And so, Jin decided he would too. He only had to grab something for him and they would be even, how hard would it be? Anyways, he was grateful and showed it. He went up to Hae-Hyuk, bowed and thanked him with sincerity. Even Hae-Hyuk felt touched. Slightly.
On the other hand, Hae-Hyuk was very happy. With this, his chances of getting that were far higher. If Min-Su managed to learn it too... It would be a certainty.
But Jin didn't leave yet as he had questions. He was wondering if many people knew this hidden technique. So, he asked Hae-Hyuk and was answered:
"Only me, you and Min-Su later on hopefully. This hidden technique is passed on solely to one heir in general. My Master had me as his sole disciple. I'm only making an exception now because the situation called for it"
"That being said, there are many similar techniques that enables their users to get effects close to this. After all, I am far from the only technique master around. They aren't always eye techniques though. But they all have one thing in common: they are pushing one of their sense to the limits. To the point that they will feel the density of spiritual energy. There are a few old monsters who have reached such a stage simply due to cultivation too. Don't be too complacent and keep working hard"
Right.
He still had to work hard. But what now? He would keep cultivating for one thing. And he will also work on the four principles. He needed to master this new hidden technique for sure. Was that it though? Wasn't he missing something? Oh, yeah, he didn't know a single offensive or defensive technique. Heck, he hadn't even learnt any movement techniques. So, he tried to approach the topic:
"What about teaching me other techniques, Master?"
"Other techniques? Aren't you satisfied to have learnt a secret technique?! Learn others yourself, you can see them now. Just watch people and copy their stuff, that's the way of the technique masters!"
"Isn't that just stealing?!"
"We prefer to call it learning from watching. Keep that in mind. Now go train, shoo, shoo"
Jin gave up on learning different techniques from Hae-Hyuk. In the end, technique masters were truly scammers. High-end scammers for sure, but scammers still. That being said, Jin didn't mind it and he certainly wouldn't let this affect him. He would indeed watch others and steal their stuff for himself.
Becoming stronger has always been this way. You had to learn from others to better yourself. Find their strengths and make them your own. It was a continuous work and the true way towards the peak of one's arts.
Stealing? Who cared? If you were strong enough, who would dare call you a thief?
