Then girls made small talk with Jin but they were soon disappointed. This guy had absolutely no interest in them, even though they were beautiful twins... It was an unexpected situation for them. It wasn't the first time nor would it be the last, of course. But it would never feel good to be ignored like so.
That was until one of the girls spoke: "You look like you're having something on your mind? Why don't you ask your big sisters for some help? Who knows, we might be able to help?"
Jin looked seriously at them for the first time. It was true that having the opinion of others could help breaking through his situation. After all, everyone has their own experiences and knowledges. A different point of view sometimes helps going further. He decided to try his luck and told them about his problem. How he was hesitating about picking elements.
The first answer was a joke: "How about picking the 'size' element? Most men in this city do~"
The second one laughed before she told Jin: "We had a tough time figuring it out ourselves. There is so much to choose from after all, right?"
Jin nodded. She was right. He was having a hard time not because he couldn't pick but because he couldn't settle on one thing. There were too many possibilities.
She smiled smugly before she went on: "We all face the problem. Anyways, what you have to ask yourself is what you're good at"
Jin answered within a heartbeat: "Fighting"
Both girls chuckled before the first one encouraged him to think further. What was he good in fighting? He was good at seeing the opponent's movements for one thing. But thanks to Hae-Hyuk's secret technique, he wouldn't need an element or something else to help with that.
Then what else?
He was very knowledgeable about the anatomy. Where to strike, how to strike to maximize the damages done... But thanks to the principle of Fine Tuning, he didn't consider it a must either.
Noticing his dilemma and his lack of answer, the first girl told him to approach things differently. What were the very basics of his technique? What did he use to fight? He answered quickly once again: "My body"
The first sister brought back the 'size' joke while the second sister had him explain how. And he answered: "Moving it accordingly" and as he said that, it hit him. Movement. Weren't all martial arts based on movement?! Then wasn't that exactly what he needed?!

He thanked the girls before hurriedly leaving the tavern. There was no time to lose, he had to find Min-Su and more importantly, the book that he left him. He needed to see if his new idea was viable. There weren't any reasons to waste time.
As he left, the twins looked at each other with a smug grin. Then, they left too. Moments later, they entered an alley in which a handsome man was waiting.
He had long hair going down his back mixing black and white colors. His eyes were hidden behind a cloth of sorts that went all around his head. He wore a simple black battle robe with absolutely no designs on it. He had at least one ring on every finger and no weapons that could be seen.
As they looked at him, they got very excited. For they knew who this man was. It was a technique master! And he had asked them to complete a task in exchange for incredible rewards. And they had completed it! They had high hopes that he would reward them as promised.
He looked at them and smiled subtly before he took out two weapons and threw them at the feet of the twins. Grade 5 weapons, both swords. One with the element of 'water' and the other with the element of 'fire'. The girls excitedly grabbed one each, bowed, and then left with happy expressions. They never thought earning treasures could be so easy!
As for the man who gave them the treasures, he didn't even seem to care about them. On the contrary, it seemed as if he had been overjoyed to give them away. In fact, he was glad that his plan worked. He had noticed how his disciple was unable to reach a decision and decided to give him a little push. Jin tended to overthink things when it came to cultivation and such. Min-Su would probably not need such help but Jin did. So, he made it happen.
He fabricated a fortuitous encounter for his disciple in order to enlighten him.
As he went back to his quarters, he was in a very good mood. And he could sense that Jin was being very hardworking right now, browsing through the book many times.
Meanwhile, Min-Su had finally managed to comprehend and master the Beast Master's Contract. Still, as he didn't want to fuck things up, he picked up the Carnassid and two eggs and went to find Hae-Hyuk. For once, his Master wasn't in his quarters so he waited at the entrance for a time, petting the little furball.
As Hae-Hyuk arrived, he brought Min-Su in. Neither of them mentioned the fact that Hae-Hyuk had been absent. On one hand, Hae-Hyuk had no reasons to explain himself and on the other, it wasn't Min-Su's place to ask.
What mattered was to do what had to be done. And after settling down, Min-Su, with his Master overseeing, began the binding ceremony. It was quite simple. It required one to form a spiritual chain with certain characters instead of nodes. Then, you only had to hurl the chain at the spiritual beast. If it worked, the binding would be successful and a spiritual collar would appear on the spiritual beast's neck while a spiritual tattoo would appear on the back of the master's hand.
With Min-Su's diligence in learning the technique and his impressive talent, Hae-Hyuk didn't even have to make a move. It was a success.
