CH. 249

Min-Su rushed forward at the knight. That monster was brandishing a rusty sword filled with the death energy. As he saw Min-Su approach, he waved it at him, sending out a wave of element at him. Min-Su phased in/out and continued until their swords clashed. The death element was potent but one could see resist it for a time through the use of spiritual energy defensive techniques. Simply Coating oneself entirely worked too. Then again, the consumption of energy was being heightened and few would consider doing this. It was akin to suicide for most. Not for Min-Su though since he had a might beyond the average cultivator at this realm. As long as he slashed while the sword was filled with the distortion element, he could force the knight to waste energy just the same.

Better yet, he was forced to use many times more as he had to deal with the waves of ice and fire sent out by the sentient dragon. While it never hurt him, it was solely thanks to the death element. Everything died before it reached him. But the element was being consumed little by little. They would tire out much earlier than him though so he wondered why they tried to attack him in such a way. To him, their resistance was pointless.

Of course, to the dragon and Min-Su it was not.

Neither of them knew how much death element was contained within this death knight. As such, they expected him to be exhaustible. If you considered this, their advance was rather good.

And so, the battle continued on in this way. The knight did not mind humoring them and they believed. But after long minutes of hardcore exchanges, they realized that they needed to rethink their plan. It seemed impossible to completely eliminate all of the death energy. Min-Su was starting to feel the exhaustion himself in fact and the dragon was in a similar state. Neither would be able to continue with this.

The dragon sentient took the lead and stated: "Our only chance is to throw him in the void!"

Min-Su nodded in acknowledgement and the both of them began to coordinate to push him out of the arena. The knight was certain of his victory but wouldn't just let them do anything they wanted either. He did not make it easy. They had to use everything they had and play many tricks to push him out.

Of course, he simply summoned a pegasus of death element and flew up. However, the other two did not plan to let him have his way. They both jumped at him. All three champions left the arena. The sentient dragon began to shapeshift and returned to his original beast form. A gigantic four-winged blue dragon with red stains over its scales made its appearance. Not only was it majestic, it was also extremely big. It was around thirty meters long and twenty high.

Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon.

As for Min-Su, he used spiritual energy to create himself footholds from which he jumped. They managed to push the knight once, they would keep doing so until they sent him into the void. Due to the huge increase in size, it became easier for the dragon to push him. In fact, they were rapidly closing in on the void. They would push him in and be done with it. Or so they planned.

The death knight noticed that his situation was not that great and decided to stop playing around. He used his immense reserve of death energy to create a dragon as big as the sentient champion and controlled it to fight him. Two gigantic dragons began to face off.

At the same time, he directed his Pegasus to fly at Min-Su and they began to collide into one another.

The two dragons were clawing at each other and releasing breath attacks vehemently without a care. They couldn't hurt themselves and had no allies. The death dragon wouldn't hurt the knight who made him with his death energy since both were alive thanks to it. Death was a booster to them.

That being said, the knight had to keep on replenishing that dragon's energy reserves. Yet, he was now in a better spot than previously. At least, he was no longer being pushed towards the void. He focused himself on the space manipulator while leaving the dragons to fight. The clashes were vigorous and they both showed incredible mastery over their respective weapons and techniques. Blades were parried or blocked, kicks and charges evaded. It was impossible to distinguish who counter-attacked as the moves rained down one after another.

The experts within the grand hall were loudly cheering for the champion they bet on while the weaker guests were awe-struck by the high-level confrontation.

Only the Dragon patriarch had complex thoughts. This descendant of his was truly proving his worth right now. It would be a shame to lose him. He could see two ways this battle would go. Either the knight or the space manipulator won. As he gazed at his descendant, he admired his bravery and abilities. But he was rational enough to understand his situation. Strong as he was, he wouldn't be able to deal with the knight alone. As for defeating the space manipulator... He had a bad premonition about that one. He felt like he had yet to show his true ability.

He glanced at the Saints and spoke towards the Saint Patron: "Get him out, I'll pay the cost"

Saint Patron Bôrakos looked meaningfully at him and asked back: "Are you sure? This is the final, I don't need to remind you of what you're giving up on, do I?"

The dragon patriarch chuckled and said: "He can't win. I am just cutting down on my losses"

The Saint Patron smiled faintly and nodded. Then, he disappeared from his spot. At the same time, the patriarch turned to his Marshall and smirked.

The Marshall knew that he might be sacrificed right there...He didn't want to die!

That's when he received a spiritual message. He frowned as he listened but, as his patriarch smirked at him, began to consider the offer he received...
