CH. 89

Since Jin seemed to have some difficulties comprehending how to build the sphere, Hae-Hyuk decided to elaborate even further. In case.

"So, in order to get the dimension perfect, this is what you need to do. Remember the lines of energy used to form your pyramid core? Use those. Continue them. Create one more line and add it to the originals to make them longer. That will give you the general idea about how big the sphere should be. Don't make it bigger than that, ok?"

"Understood"

"Good, you may go"

On his way back, Jin spotted Min-Su returning. He had a wide grin on his face. Seeing the dumb look on the guy's face, Jin recalled his previous interaction with a disciple. Still, it wasn't in his personality to take interest in such things. Unfortunately for him, Min-Su considered that he had to know. And he ended up having to listen to his fellow disciple brag for hours about this girl and that girl...

How could he be like that while still so young? What was wrong with his early education?

Jin couldn't help but sigh. This idiot is certain to die a horrible way because he messed with women. Only after Min-Su was satisfied did Jin get to have a break. He checked his space ring. Precisely, the box given to him by his Master. Hae-Hyuk gifted him thirty pellets to start himself on cultivation.

No longer would he eat spiritual dots, he would eat pills now!

Still, he remembered the warning he was given. Don't take a second one before finishing absorbing all of the first... Considering energy did evaporate after some time, it made sense.

He went to a secluded area, his room to be precise, and began to cultivate. He ate one pill yet didn't feel it going into his stomach. He sure felt having eaten it but it felt different. As if it didn't go through... It was quite the weird sensation. Instead of uselessly thinking, he entered his soul sea, and there it was. The pellet.

The pellet was in his soul sea. Just like when he ate the dots of energy. The pellet was a physical concentration of spiritual energy so it wasn't too unexpected for this to happen. What was weird was its size. It was thrice bigger than his own core. And it was slowly but surely letting out dots after dots of energy from a single minuscule crack.

Jin focused his will and shaped his spears into hands. Time to work. He proceeded to create lines and used them to extend the original lines of the pyramid core. Of course, they were lines and not triangles so they would turn back into dots...if not for being pinned between two spears.

The process that was the most difficult to many cultivators was easily done by Jin. Where your average cultivator would have to will every strand at once, Jin could simply pin them one after another... The difficulty was world's apart. Comparing was useless. If others knew about this, they would likely rage. But even if they knew how to do it, could they? The answer is a big 'no'. They would not be able to. This was not an easy technique. And it was only due to his past life's experience that Jin managed to use it.

Well, make use of it would be more correct here.

Anyways, he worked on extending the lines. And soon, he had finished that part. But then came the problem. How could he make a true perfect circle from there? He was human after all. How does a human make a perfect sphere? With tools. Obviously, he didn't have such tools but he did have the spears. And he could change their lengths at will, even create more if he needed to. Though he already had a whole bunch.

And so, he began to use the spears to form the sphere. It turned his original pyramid core into a porcupine ball. But the result spoke for itself. He only had to build the triangles and place them over the spears to form the sphere core. Then, he would be able to move on to filling it.

Of course, it was not as easy as it sounds. What he did required him to spend a lot of time and focus like never before. Not only that but the precision requirement was no joke. Even with paint, not everyone can become a painter. This was quite the similar situation. What saved him was his drive.

He was woken up unconsciously from his soul sea and brought back to reality not long after finishing the first few triangles. Sitting on a chair a few meters away was Hae-Hyuk. Jin wondered when his Master entered but was soon answered: "You've been immersed in cultivation for four days straight. Here's your lesson: you can't go on while being starved and exhausted. Go eat something then take a break, Jin. Earnestly cultivating is good but if it destroys your health, it becomes wrong. Please take care and keep those issues in mind from now on. I won't be babysitting like this a second time"

Feeling slightly ashamed of not realizing anything, Jin apologized and thanked Hae-Hyuk. Then, he hurried to the kitchen. He was famished right now. He was very tired too. But he was even more hungry than tired. Though he did end up doing both eating and sleeping one after the other.

From then on, Jin took the lesson to heart. He would cultivate for a time (counted on the number of triangles he made), work on learning the visual techniques, master the four principles further (especially fine tuning), eat and sleep. Those were his days and it went on like this for a long time as they moved from one sect to another.
