Jin was making himself at home as he lazed within the comfortable sofa. There was not a long silence where both men stared at each other trying to gauge themselves. Jin just went straight to the point: "I need a woman to accompany me for the night"
The business owner still had a smile on his face as he stated: "That is exactly what our business is for, how fateful!"
They both laughed at the joke. Of course, the laughter was fake. Jin added: "Not that kind of company, old friend... I need someone to act as my partner at a gathering tonight"
The business owner bent forward as he asked more seriously: "What are your requirements?"
Jin stated: "Clever enough to know when to shut up and when to speak"
The business owner was thoughtful for a moment before he asked: "Any physical requirements?"
Jin shook his head sideways as he answered: "None. As I said, I am not looking or expecting such services"
The business owner acknowledged the demand with a nod and said: "We have quite a few girls who would be able to accommodate you, Sir. However, old friend, I have a hard time believing that this is the so-called golden deal you mentioned before"
Jin moved one hand in front of him with a single finger up and he said: "10 Golds for the entire night. But there can be no mishaps"
The business owner was not a fool. It was impossible that anyone would pay such a huge amount for something that normally cost only a few dozen coppers at best. Heck, even he did not earn 1 gold in a year. He was only a brothel's manager after all... 10 Golds for a single night? This was too fishy.
The business owner asked: "What's the catch? What is this event?"
Jin explained: "A small business gathering. One that could possibly go badly. The reward is proportionate to the risks"
Jin could have lied. He could have gone to any place and rented a woman for the night without giving any details and for a cheaper price. However, if she found out mid-way or at the beginning that he did not say everything, would she stay? Would she remain quiet? Would she continue to act? He could not take such risks. It was not about his morals but out of necessity. He needed someone who was willing to shoulder the risks for this kind of rewards.

The business owner understood the severity of the matter and that the reward was not clearly considered his own. He was more interested on that part of the deal than the others. He would not be the one taking any risks after all.
He asked Jin: "What about my own commission, old friend?"
Jin stated as matter-of-fact: "10%"
That was 1 gold. More than what he earned in a year. With a single gold...He could do a lot. Maybe he would be able to get one of his sons to become a cultivator with that much money... He pondered for a moment before he asked: "How dangerous could it become?"
Jin admitted: "Anything could happen. In the same way, it could proceed well without risks"
The businessman sighed. He paused as he pondered. Then, he looked back at the man in front of him. This was indeed a very good deal and a kind of opportunity that rarely came by. Maybe it would not be a one-off either...
For a moment, he thought of robbing the man in front of him. He clearly stated that he was loaded and the guard already informed him that he was weaker than them. Then again, someone able to make deals with golds had to have some background. Whatever forces were behind him would definitely be stronger than him. As for his own backers...They would likely rather replace him than confront anyone.
Since it was like that, there was only one option he would want to pick. But were there any girls that would agree to go to this thing? His workers were whores but whoring did not account for risking one's life. Most girls were doing this job due to not having a choice and precisely because they wanted to live... To find one that was ready to die for money... Well, there was one he could think of and was certain she would agree but would this man accept her? This was a tougher question.
He decided to make sure: "Old friend, are you sure that you have absolutely no physical requirements?"
Jin stated once more: "None"
The business owner then asked: "I have a girl in mind...Would you like to meet her?"
Jin nodded.
The business owner whistled and a waiter entered and approached them. The business owner said: "Go fetch Hymin"
The waiter bowed and left. The two men, left alone, began to chat about some random matters to probe each other further. It was meaningless talk and Jin was not going to reveal anything about himself.
After less than a dozen minutes, the doors opened once more and a woman entered. She was a mortal and seemed to be in her late twenties. She had long purple hair which was quite rare since most humans had regular hair colors, similar to those from Jin's previous world. Brown, Black, Red or blond were common. Anything besides those, much less. As for purple, she was probably the first he met like that and he traveled quite a lot.
Aside from her weird hair color, nothing seemed out of place. Her red and dark robe accentuated her curves and her make-up heightened her charm. Simply put, for a mortal, she was a bombshell.
Jin's eyebrow rose unconsciously. He was a man like any other.
The woman arrived and sat next to the owner. She did not even greet him and seemed rather unhappy to be here. She had a rough night and did not get much sleep which led to her present cranky mood.
The business owner noticed it and feared that his old friend would no longer be interested. He coughed once and introduced her "Old friend, this is the girl I told you about, Hymin"
