He rushed at a speed far beyond anyone of the 30th stage. Making use of the thunder and wind element from the spear, the crown’s tempest, sacrificing souls from within the sword to boost himself and making use of the corruption’s ability to calibrate the body, he moved.
His direction was The Capital.
The Corruption did not take over Jin as, from the beginning, they had both became one. It was simply the unconscious desires of Jin dictating The Corruption’s movements.
And it only had one goal: vengeance.
It wanted to punish Cheng for sending him there. It wanted to punish him for doing what he did. He blamed Cheng for his own actions.
And he was now moving to end him.
…
At that kind of speed, it did not take long for Jin to reach The Capital. What he saw when he reached it was far from what it expected though.
A gigantic war with all kinds of beings.
It spotted a few people it knew.
Including Ame in particular.
A new directive overwrote the previous one as soon as his gaze fell upon her figure.
- Protect her at all costs –
He rushed down the slope and entered the fray. He swung his spear, swung his sword and swung all kinds of other weapons created from expanding the corruption. He was slaughtering everything and everyone on his path, regardless of affiliation.
He was truly like a Tempest on this battlefield, not intending to differentiate between friends and foes. He slaughtered and murdered and maimed. Bits and pieces of bodies flew everywhere around as blood dyed the ground.
He never bothered to dodge anything as he simply replenished himself by absorbing the corpses of those that died.
He was like an undying killing machine as he made his way towards Ame.
Fortunately for everyone, he came from the North just like her. However, unfortunately, he was not seen as a ‘friend’ by the people there. After all, he just took the lives of hundreds of their own.
Before he could reach Ame, more and more northern warriors and capital warriors that went to the north tried to stop him. Only to die miserably of course. But they did waste his time and stopped him from getting closer.

“MOVE!” he screamed.
“AME!” he called.
However, she unable to respond as the noise on the battlefield was now joke. He could see her further away slashing with ferocity and flames at soulless beings of some kind.
He continued to push forward as he screamed her name.
Nangua was the first to notice the anomaly. And when he saw it clearly, he was flabbergasted. He nearly got stabbed from the shock brought by the sight. He hurriedly dispatched the trashy soulless being in front of him and rushed to what he believed to be his Young Master.
As he got close enough, he called out: “Young Master! Please stop!”
Time seemed to stop as the innumerable corrupted elongated arms paused. Jin’s head turned 180 degrees as it locked gaze with Nangua.
Jin’s gaze was cold as it stated: “I asked you to protect her”
Nangua sweated as he took a step back.
“Wait? Did I just got frightened?”
He was unable to believe what just happened. But what came next forced him to. Jin began to rush at him with killing intent.
He cursed as he created a wall of wines. It was slashed at once.
Jin appeared grinning coldly from within. The next second, he had disappeared.
Nangua had not even the time to turn his head before the sound reached his ears. It was a mix of Jin’s voice and other ones: “I trusted you, Nangua”
As Nangua’s head turned around, he asked questioningly with surprise, incomprehension and fear: “Young Master?”
As his head turned, it also left his neck.
Then his body fell to the ground.
Jin did not even look back as he continued forward, screaming her name as he killed a path.
Ame finally heard him and so did Harold. Harol looked with incredulity at the gory sight.
He asked without expecting an answer: “What kind of monster is this?”
He got one from Ame, though mostly it was her questioning herself: “Baem?”
She turned from the battle in front of her and screamed: “Baem?!”
Jin smiled foolishly with his many mouths as he nodded and ran forward to her. He was still killing everything around him as he did so.
It frightened Ame.
What happened?!
How could this be Baem?!
As he reached closer, he saw the terror within her eyes. His emotional state went into turmoil as he stopped. He was still a distance away but close enough to be able to speak with her: “Why are you looking at me like this?”
Tears fell down her face as she asked: “Just what happened to you?! Baem! Wake up!”
Jin looked at her with doubt. The unconscious self could not comprehend what was wrong. Many powerful emotions came and went within it.
It choked.
Then, it said: “What do you mean? I came here to save you!”
Ame screamed back in tears: “Give me back my Baem you monster!”
Jin took a few steps backwards as it felt pain.
Was she rejecting him?
AFTER ALL HE DID FOR HER?!
AFTER ALL THE SINS HE COMMITTED?!
It could not accept it. It screamed back: “I am Baem!”
She moved closer as she pointed her sword at him. Flames began to dance around her. She coldly glared at it as she stated: “I will have you give me Baem back”
Jin…It…They…looked at her. The woman they loved. The only one.
She was pointing her sword at them.
She was betraying them.
SHE WAS BETRAYING THEIR TRUST AND THEIR LOVE!
And they hated it.
They pointed their spear at her.
They would make her understand them.
They would make her love them again. For sure.
They moved. Ame moved as well.
Spear and sword clashed.
However, the quality of the weapons differed.
However, the abilities of the two could not be compared.
Ame’s sword broke as the spear continued forward as it pierced her chest and continued forward until it went through her heart and exited through her back.
Ame lost all strength.
With what little remained, she moved to try and hug Jin as she whispered: “Ba-em”
Her hands never reached his body.
