CH. 37

The trio soon arrived at a certain entrance where a group of two dozens were waiting at the side. This was the faction Han-Bi and Sang-Min belonged to. They went to join the group while bringing Jin along of course. That was the whole point. The greetings between them were rather short and jovial. Then, they introduced Jin to every single member, one at a time. Jin was forced to greet them back one at a time.

It certainly felt like a pain until they reached the last two. One was a youthful beauty with long blond hair and blue eyes while the other was a fatty with a serene smile. The faction leader Seung-Ja and the famous Chong-Oh. Jin greeted them both but was a little puzzled to see Chong-Oh here. But that's all. It was not for him to point it out. It wasn't his business.

Still, he could clearly see a change in Han-Bi as she introduced them. She who had been a teasing vixen turned out into a little and meek kitten in front of this fatty. It was quite the sight. Sang-Min was sighing at the heavens on the side as he witnessed this...

Anyways, the trio were the last to arrive and the seats had already been reserved so they went inside. As they walked in, Sang-Min spoke to Jin: " You saw how she reacted to Chong-Oh? How can I ever compete with that? " but instead of expecting an answer, it was more of the guy grumbling. Jin didn't reply. There was no point.

Turned out that the arena in the inner sect had a single ring. But what a ring that was. It was as wide as one of those stadiums back in his previous world. One of those big stadiums where youths kicked balls, were idolized for it and payed millions. Damn, just the thought brought him frustration...Anyways, the ring was very big. And that was quite unexpected.

He believed it would be the same as for the outer court...It was far from it. Sang-Min explained: " It's rare for fights to happen in the inner sect as most of us spend our time cultivating or working on side-businesses. When there's a fight however, we need a bigger arena. You will see but fights between outer disciples and those between inner sect disciples are very different "

Jin nodded but scoffed internally. How could fights be different? It would always just be about who could hit the hardest. Sure, since they were cultivators, the blows would be far stronger but so what? In the end, the techniques were the same, the basics unchanged.

Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon.

Oh, how wrong he was!

They had walked quite high in the stands. In fact, they were close to the end and the highest level. There were only a few dozen levels higher than them... It felt a little weird considering that those were inner sect disciples. Weren't they supposed to have quite the status. Curious about that, he asked Jin as they took a seat: "Why are we so far from the arena?"

And it turned out that he wasn't answered by Sang-Min but the laughter of the other members of the faction who easily overheard him. Soon after, it was Seung-Ja who asked him from the other end of their seats: " Why do you think so, little guy?"

Pushing aside the fact that a young girl called him a little guy, burying the urge to retort deep inside, he thought about it. He couldn't find any reasons so began to check those that had seat further down. There were a lot of inner sect disciples and even more elders from all areas. Yeah, he had no fucking idea. He told her: " Why don't you enlighten me, little girl?"

In the end, he couldn't help but retort. Much to the amusement of the crowd. Even the 'little girl' found it an hilarious comeback. Who these days would dare talk back to her like that? Even seniors didn't dare. After all, everyone here understood one thing: the future would be brighter for some. And more than that, they knew they would live a long time, or hoped to at least.

Who would dare mess with her? She was a new entrant, true, but a top new entrant. What kind of character was that? What potential was hidden inside her hot body? The other disciples were well aware of it. Even some elders were fawning over her already, trying to grab her thighs.

Indeed, it took a fearless idiot to dare do so. And it just happened that the biggest idiot of the century was right there. After all, it was no longer a secret that this kid dared spit at the face of an esteemed core elder...She couldn't help but enjoy the fearlessness and foolishness of this youth. As such, she didn't took it to heart and instead told him: "We are new entrants in the inner sect, all those in front are our seniors, do you think they would give up their seats to us juniors?"

As he heard her explanation, he couldn't help but admit that he had been quite dumb about it. It wasn't his previous world where you could buy tickets to watch a match. This was the cultivation world. Obviously, the stronger ones would take the best seats. Because Might ruled.

In the end, he nodded and said: "Makes sense, thanks sis" and returned to checking out the different people around. However, Seung-Ja and the other members were very interested about the kid. Sang-Min and Han-Bi did bring him here in hope that he could join the faction after all.

Since the fight wouldn't happen for some time, they would take the time to chat with him and sound him out. He was a promising talent for sure but what mattered more than that was his personality. Strength ruled, true, but factions feared pig-like teammates and betrayers far more than weak links.

As such, they planned to test him a little~
