At the same time as Jin began his fight, Min-Su did the same. His opponent, Hye-Ja, had a different mindset compared to Song-Min. While, like him, she had rejected supporting Hae-Hyuk, she didn't agree to support anyone at the moment. Song-Min planned to send some of his own disciples but her own...They weren't adequate. In the past few decades, there wasn't anyone talented amongst the generation. Or rather, there weren't any talented enough to catch her eyes. And obviously, it wasn't easy to catch it.
Out of all the young talents from her clan, many were promising enough that they were expected to reach great heights. A lot should be able to cross over the 30th stage and quite a few were expected to even go beyond the 40th stage. Many some would be lucky and find enlightenment, pushing them to soar the 50th stage. But more than that? Unlikely. As one who had gone through all this, she knew what one needed to get there. And she didn't have any illusions of her little young clanmates getting there.
They had talent and a good background but it wouldn't be enough. As such, none managed to pique her interest and she didn't take a single disciple in the last century. As for taking someone from outside specially to join the event like Hae-Hyuk...She didn't find it worth it. To groom such disciple, she would need to invest quite a lot. She wasn't like Hae-Hyuk who could arbitrarily organize such an arena. She wasn't a technique master.
Even if she was, she probably wouldn't do it. It seemed bothersome. What's more, there was no way to prove the efficiency of it. Maybe the kids would be killed on the arena. She knew she could easily kill the kid in front of her if she wanted... Well, as long as Hae-Hyuk didn't spot her trying to do so. It was quite unlikely but there were ways. And she believed that many cultivators here were after the lives of the two kids.
So, since she would not participate herself, she was pondering on who to support. Or even if she would support anyone. She had rejected many requests, not just Hae-Hyuk's. But this was the first time in so many centuries that someone brought his disciples in such a way to her door. She was quite curious. As a long-lived cultivator, she was often bored and this seemed like a perfect way to have some entertainment.
That's right. This was pure entertainment. She would enjoy playing around with the kids to her heart's contents every single day. Under the excuse of doing it for the techniques and her clan, she was finally able to let loose some. Sure, she was limited to the ninth stage in energy levels but so what? It was better than staying at home meditating or feeding some fishes in a pond...

She looked at the kid as she planned to enjoy her fight fully. A little smile appearing on her face as she saw him deploying his Domain. It wasn't that big but it was more than enough for his realm. Obviously, even if limited by power level, her domain was far bigger than his due to higher comprehension but nonetheless, it proved that the kid made efforts in the four principles.
After that, she saw him imbuing his sword with spiritual energy and create five small squares of energy on the tip of each of the fingers of his other hand. He extended the fingers forward, towards her, and some balls of energy were sent out. It was a very low level move, simply sending out spiritual energy to attack. It was devoid of any worth. She lazily stretched her own palm and sent the same amount of balls out, knocking each one away. The balls exploded as they entered into contact with each other.
She faked yawning as she teased verbally the kid a little. However, she soon discovered that she had miscalculated. It wasn't an attack. It was simply a way for him to draw her attention. She could feel them surrounding her. Thanks to his Domain, he had made many squares of energy appear all around.
Then she saw him move. He began to rush forward while sending out more powerful and bigger spiritual energy bolts. She found it quite entertaining so she didn't even bother to counter them and only dodged them. As she did so, she noticed how the fingers of the kid were moving. He was controlling the squares with those mini-squares...The bolts weren't coming from his hand but he made them appear in the front of it. He used his Domain. All to hide the true use of the mini-squares.
Her lips curled up as she could sense the bolts that she dodged rebound on the few energy squares he had prepared. She dodged again as he approached. Then, he was in close combat with her while still controlling the squares to rebound the bolts. It was an ingenious way of using his Domain. For someone who supposedly had very few experiences battling at this realm, it was rather good.
He made use of his knowledge of the principles to create a few traps and put himself in an advantageous position. Still, there was no way he would ever get her with this much. It was child's play to dodge both his sword and the bolts. Simply using a basic footstep technique was enough. Without one himself, how could he expect to catch her? It was quite funny to lead him around like this, as if the mouse played with the cat for once.
But she got bored of it soon. From time to time, he used the squares to push himself upwards or forwards by stepping on them but there wasn't much surprise from those moves. As she saw that he kept making use of those squares, she had an idea.
She decided to take control of those squares for herself and fool around.
