CH. 418

As the party raged on, Nightmare and Crawler sat next to each other. The Crawler asked him: “How can you be so rash?”

The Nightmare’s eyebrow raised as he asked back: “What are you trying to say?”

The Crawler stated: “He might be impressive but he remains a youth at the 30th stage. Compared to our disciples who have already reached the peak of the 69th stage… This does not seem like you”

The Nightmare nodded: “So that is what you meant”

There was a short silence. Since it seemed like Nightmare was not going to answer him, he asked once more: “Are you only interested in bringing up the 7th seat up?”

The Nightmare laughed: “Not exactly. While I would like for my disciple to be the one to rise to the position, I would not mind it if he fails. In the end, whoever succeeds will be one of us”

The Crawler pondered on his Brother’s words carefully as he sipped his glass of Frone and asked once more: “It still does not add up. You finally found a decent seed after so many centuries…Only to let him be sacrificed? What are you hiding?”

The Nightmare turned back to the Crawler and seriously asked him: “Did you meet him?”

The Crawler gazed intently at the Nightmare before he nodded.

The Nightmare frowned: “You do know the rules”

The Crawler nodded: “No interferences in the Fate from the moment the 7th throne has been opened until its owner has been decided. I am aware, yes but you should know how easy to break the rules”

The Nightmare laughed then pointed at Seagull: “Why don’t you try to say that to him?”

The Crawler frowned as he emptied his cup in silence. He would only end up with a red handprint on his face if he dared to say something like that to Seagull who had yet to find a way to break his oath…

The Nightmare switched the topic back to Jin: “So, what did you think of my disciple?”

The Crawler pondered for a moment before he honestly replied: “Truly impressive. If he is allowed to grow…He would likely become a top figure of this world depending on the path he settles on”

The Nightmare grinned: “We will make sure that he can safely develop”

That is when the Crawler realized Nightmare’s intentions and, after looking at him, he began to laugh crazily.

The Nightmare laughed along.

Gaelic and Clown were chatting not far away.

“So, what happened in there?” asked Gaelic.

“Nothing much, the Master opened the 7th seat is all” answered Clown with a shrug.

That answer made Gaelic drop his pint. This was no joke; this was an incredibly serious matter! He had to confirm it!

“Are you serious?” he asked hurriedly.

Clown shook him off as he said with mild exasperation: “Of course, why would I lie to you, my friend?”

“Damn…” was all Gaelic could answer.

Then he downed a cup and asked for a few more. Clown laughed as he followed suit.

However, Gaelic’s mind was in turmoil.

The opening of the 7th seat meant that there would be a new Saint in the Evil Faction in the near future.

It would break the world’s balance once it happened. And until it did, it was quite likely that the whole world would be shaken by the 6th seat already there. The opening of a new era meant troubles would erupt everywhere.

This was not just a mere gathering he had been invited to.

It was the party to celebrate the opening of the new evil faction’s era!

His heart was being shaken.

Should he stay and become part of this? Should he leave and warn the Rightful Faction?

He looked around him.

The people here were all demons and certainly evil criminals. They were scums who killed, stole, pillaged, tortured, raped…and much more.

Yet, for the first time in eons, he was at peace.

Here.

Strangely.

They did not discriminate and were warmly welcoming him. He was made to feel as if he had returned to a gathering of old friends instead of a meeting of the highest felons that he never met before.

In the end, he decided to just drink and enjoy the party first. It would not be too late to make a decision at a different time.

Chaos, Fumes and Seagull sat on a different table and were having a chat:

“So, Brother Fumes, how many of your disciples are still alive?”

Brother Fumes pondered before he shook his head with a sigh: “I don’t know. A century or two ago, there were still six of them. I don’t know about now. I will have to call them soon I guess”

Chaos nodded. Seagull continued with another question: “How will you select the right one though?”

Fumes chuckled: “I won’t. I will tell each one that remains and heeds my call that he is the selected one. Whoever is left in the end will be the right one”

Chaos laughed: “I approve! I approve! What a fantastic idea! I should do the same!”

Seagull pat Chaos’s shoulders: “Brother, you have dozens of disciples, this won’t work on your end”

Chaos frowned: “True…Wait. No. It could. I will just chase them out of the mountain first!”

Seagull sighed before he laughed.

Just thinking of the dozens of 69th stage chaos dragons being let loose into the world was quite enough to give one big headache to the entire world.

It would likely be a fun era!

If only he was not confined to Low Point…

Fumes turned to him and asked: “I would have thought you would have at least tried to raise a disciple, Brother Seagull. Where has your bravery gone to?”

“It fed the fish!” laughed Chaos arrogantly.

Seagull snickered: “You don’t know shit! This oath is too difficult! Whatever I do is not enough! I tried all kinds of things but none worked!”

“Right, right, I heard that there was a time when lightning fell down as if rain around here” added Chaos teasingly.

But, surprisingly, Seagull seriously nodded: “It did. I had to rebuild more than half of the fucking city!”
