[Mining Skill-Skill needed to dig in the mines’ grounds. Having this skill will enhance the effectiveness of pickaxes and shovels, and also increase the luck of finding minerals resources when digging.]
Rain blinked at the hovering message in front of him the moment he woke up. No, rather, the sound of notifications had woken him up from his deep slumber.
Finally completed huh, Rain mused as he sat up from his bed.
A Quest generated from the Grimoire’s [Territory Building App]. It’s an app that enables him to create, improve, and manage his territory.
In other words, it’s like a City Building Simulation Game. But with the difference that it reflects in reality.
After the Grimoire has merged into his Smart Phone for better performance and convenience, for some unknown reason, it has also started to connect with his unique skill: Sylphy Systema. Though, only notifications such as this. It seems like despite being connected with each other, Sylphy Systema and the Arch Grimoire have two different systems, hence, they cannot be completely merged into one.
In simplest terms, Sylphy Systema is like a Personal System, where it only focuses on him. While the Arch Grimoire covers everything, from him to his surroundings, as a whole. Thus, Syphy can only show notifications such as this that affect him or the skill gained from special actions. Nevertheless, having something like this is already beyond his expectations.
“Elder Sister and Lafetti…?”
Rain felt his sides, but the two vigorous and beautiful Lamians seemed to have gone up already. Well, that’s unusual. There must be something they needed to do this early.
He then looked around to see a rather blank looking, but large, clean room with only the bare essentials for a rather big bedroom.
White painted walls, white bed quilts, pillows, and sheets. A modern looking plain wardrobe and a few set of drawers and an empty desk. Most of the furnitures were bought from the system, or made from similar designs provided by it. Of course, there were no signs of entertainment like any gadgets or technology such as a computer, TV, or anything that can be seen or found in a modern world.
Well, even this kind of room should be quite uncommon in this world. And in fact, would have been impossible to find in this kind of place: The Desolate Cave. However, with the upgrading feature of the [Territory Building System] of the Arch Grimoire, proper buildings like houses and facilities inside the village started to improve as well.
Though it’s not as good as the buildings in the world where he came from, it’s still better than most common architure in this world. After all, when he just came here, only the forge and the alchemist workshop can be called a proper shelter. Most houses are even worse than wooden huts or shacks.
But now, the village is improving, along with the life of the Lamians.
And that's what made him extremely happy and fulfilled these past few days.
Feeling refreshed, Rain got up from the comfortable bed that he admits, is actually more comfortable than his bed in his former world.
Well, not like he was living in a luxurious environment, anyway. For someone poor like him, second-hand goods are already enough- though, a second-hand mattress is still quite hard and so uncomfortable to sleep with.
However, the mattress that was generated by the system along with the house was, surprisingly…good and brand new. Furthermore, this magical house has its own magical automatic ventilation and sanitary system.
Despite the vigorous affairs done these past few days, this room would have filled with that kind of smell if it was a normal room, but every next day, everything returned to normal, not even a hint of smell or dirt seemed to remain. Which made cleaning the house easier. What a magical house, indeed.
“Now then, where should I go after this? Ah right, I had that new sword Miya gave me… I had yet to try it. I guess I’m going to the training hall, huh,”
Rain muttered with a faint smile as he went towards the wardrobe to change his clothes. He was preparing for his usual routine exercise. Training.
He had never, not even once, forgotten or skipped his daily training. It has now even turned into his daily routine, especially the Body Cultivation that improves his physical body.
Though, despite having a combat ability already comparable to that of a Lv3 warrior, for some unknown reason, Rain has yet to completely break through the 2nd level. Indeed, even at this moment, he was still Lv1.
Though most of his attributes had already reached the Max Level, reason unknown to him, or even Sylphy, in that matter, the last of his remaining attributes Strength (STR), and Mana seemed to stop at the 199points, stopping him from reaching their maximum level.
He had also stopped obtaining Attribute Points from eating and devouring monsters. Though, he still managed to acquire skills from time to time. Still, this has caused him to stay at the Lv1, even now.
According to Sylphy, there seemed to be something lacking- a requirement for him to reach the cap level of each attribute. It's like already seeing the goal but just couldn't reach it because of the transparent glass blocking his way. He needed to break that glass to proceed further. Though, as for how, he doesn't know.
If you spot this narrative on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
In the first place, not a single person was known to have capped all the levels in the history of the world, so there was no precedent about it. However, Sylphy and the Arch Grimoire speculated that Rain needed to obtain some kind of achievement to break through the cap level. Some Achievement or probably some special requirements.
For some reason, Rain had already passed through some of it, though, unknown how, but he did when he had reached the cap level for the Agility Attribute and the others. But now, he was stuck in a rut. Though, it's not him to stay still, and mull about it, anyway. The only thing he could do now is train and train until everything was made clear.
And that's what I'm going to do...
Rain grabbed his new sword and walked out the door.
“Now then, let’s go~”
… …
The village had become quite interesting these past few days.
The houses and buildings had turned into much better form and appearance, completely unlike before- completely in just a short amount of time. The Territory Building System is really incredibly amazing.
Drova and the others even had a difficult time understanding what was happening, as they couldn’t help but marvel at the power of the Grimoire that Rain had obtained inside the Dungeon.
With just one click on his so-called smartphone, the houses would be easily improved, or what he calls it ‘Upgraded’ into a better form and appearance, and in just a short amount of time at that, as well.
They really didn’t expect there to be an incredibly useful, but strange Grimoire to exist out there.
What Rain had called it, ‘Managing a Territory’, it was really a heaven-defying magical item that would make anyone in this world desperate to have.
Although using it consumes materials and resources, but it wasn’t something difficult for them to obtain.
In the first place, Desolate Cave is an extremely abundant place filled with resources. The mine that can be found beside the Village was enormous and wealthy of materials. And there are still even some places that could also be mined, though the Lamians left them aside for now since the largest mine beside the village was more than enough for them.
And even if their resources obtained every day had been halved in terms of output than usual, but it was not a problem at all, for it was able to completely reform the entire village into something better.
Now, the village didn’t have the appearance of a poor, simple village of small huts and houses. Instead, it looked like a small town in a secluded countryside, with better and sturdy facilities. Only the number of population limits the immediate growth.
But that can’t be helped for they are currently just a small tribe.
But with the Grimoire in Rain’s hand, they were even able to build several and much better Farm Fields, a building used to store harvested fruits and grains called a warehouse and granary, and even woods and ores collected can also be stored without an issue.
A workshop for the specialized Craftsmen like a Forester Hut, a Wood crafter, a tailor shop that works with fur, silk, and fabric, and many more kinds of craft workshops.
At first, it was just the Alchemy Workshop and the Blacksmithing Forge, since these two were the most valuable professions in the Tribe. And building some random places would just waste some time and resources. But now, some Lamians were extremely excited to have their own places to work.
Rain deemed them quite important as well, increasing their enthusiasm.
He had also used the Grimoire to build a Drying Room and Smoking Room. Especially for the smoking room, since Rain deemed it quite important, especially for the upcoming cold season.
After all, it prolongs the shelf life of meat. And although the Desolate Cave is an incredibly abundant place, nature is not an unlimited resource. Rain wanted the Village to be self-sufficient, and not depends on hunting every day.
The Lamian Tribe is neither a poor nor a wealthy village. Despite the great resources around them, they still live humbly.
Most Lamians do hunting and gathering materials from the forest, while some works in mines—that’s how the jobs were commonly distributed. And only work that is extremely necessary such as Alchemy for Potions and Elixirs, and Blacksmithing for items and weapons are given a great deal of importance.
As for other works, they are made in passing, and only a few know how to do them. And preserving meat through drying and smoking is one of them.
Since the Lamians live through hunting every day, there is no great need to preserve meat. The leftover will be thrown away or will be feed to the livestock or the Serpent Beasts.
Of course, it doesn’t mean the Lamians didn’t have one before, in fact, some of them already knew how to smoke or preserve meat. But that is only done by some houses when there is meat left. And also, only done in special seasons, such as the Winter, where Lamians have a difficult time moving outside. Thus, Rain deemed it quite necessary to make it officially a necessary facility.
They can’t always go on hunting, especially in winter where most Lamians become much weaker than normal. Hunting would be extremely dangerous. In any case, it still better to have a proper place for it, and a place to store it as well.
And since the water in the nearby river and those they stored with for baths turned so cold, especially in cold seasons, Rain also made sure to create a bathhouse in the village, where for some reason had some hot water gushing out from the ground, turning into a hot spring-like kind of pool.
Although, this establishment is quite expensive and costly for him, so it was decided to be left for later, after establishing the most necessary facilities.
As for how there was hot water coming from the ground, this still eluded them since there should not have such a thing in this part of the Desolate Cave. But Rain can only attribute it to the power of the Grimoire that follows the system of Game Simulation.
Nevertheless, it was an incredible place, which all Lamians loved. The moment it was built, almost the entire Tribe got addicted to it.
Now, they are not taking a bath on the river, and instead were soaking themselves in the hot water Public Bath most of the time. Especially under the cold weather. The temperature of the water was just right for them.
The only drawback was that, whenever Rain’s bathing, the place will be filled.
The other Lamians seemed to have taken advantage of it having a single room. Upgrading it into a two-gender public bath takes quite a bit of wealth and resources, which Rain needed for the other facilities and necessities as well. And since nothing is really happening, he could only think of it as a mixed bath for now.
And most of all, one that Drova loves the most, the Training Area.
It was just a piece of open land before, but now, it was a small building filled with many interesting facilities, all to train warriors.
There’s a sparring arena, exercising hall filled with strength and speed training tools, training grounds and all. Drova even spent her time most in this place. The feel of a new place just seemed to excite her. But most of all, it’s the atmosphere that she loves.
The entire place just calls for her inner warrior to come out, making her jubilant.
It has almost become her second home, for the amount of time she spent inside was as if she was already living there.
Overall, the lives of the Lamians in the village had become much better than before, it almost looks like a dream, especially for many.
They had taken Rain because, his personality and nature, and most of all, because they needed him for procreation as well as survival. But never had crossed their mind or even imagined that they would actually be the ones to be taken care of.
Yeah, at this moment, Rain had done many, irreplaceable things for them—one that they truly needed and wanted but couldn’t just obtain it. But thanks to him, each and every single dream of theirs is starting to come true.
Truly, the new dawn of their tribe had finally appeared.
