Chapter 39
After about a minute we overlapped their lips, Lafetti’s lips left his—
“Next time, no injuries, okay?”
Rain nodded his head. Lafetti smiled and turned towards the other Lamians who were surrounding them, “Grethia,”
“I know,” Grethia hurriedly walked over the moment Lafetti called.
Rain turned towards Grethia and said; “Please take care of me,”
“Leave it to me,” Grethia happily responded.
Gretia is a fairly tall and busty woman with long, emerald hair that reaches her shins, sticks out at her neck and falls over her shoulders and purple eyes. Just like most Lamians in the Amani Tribe, her scales were emerald colored and she has a very sexy, and voluptuous body that was no less inferior to Zarda or Sarete.
When she was called, she immediately walks over. Her hands glowed in bluish-pale white, and a water bubble appeared. Using the water bubble, Grethia washed Rain’s wounds.
Like a miracle happening, the pain subsided and the wounds closed slowly.
Like the light element, water magic has always been among the elements that possess the best healing factor. Although Lafetti can heal wounds, but compared to Grethia, she was a bit inferior. She focused on fighting rather than support or healing. Hence, her recovery rate was much lower than Grethia.
In just a few minutes, Rain’s wound already healed. However, to assure it, Lafetti still took out a Healing Potion and force him to drink it.
Rain dislikes Healing Potion because it tasted like an energy drink…worst, on the bitter side.
Some of the Lamians dismantled the monsters including the Troll’s body. There were many useful materials that can obtain from them, like the Troll’s blood, which possess some of the best recovery effects. Now, Rain, somewhat amazed, look at the wagon where they put the spoils of war and couldn't help but feel somewhat satisfied. It’s almost filled with various monster corpses, ores, and medicinal plants. And most of all, some of them were taken from his prey, and he felt fulfilled.
While the others were cleaning the battlefield, Lafetti who was taking care of Rain heard a cute growl from the side. Rain suddenly felt embarrassed, but it only elicited more amusement for Lafetti.
“Hungry?” she asked.
“Somewhat,” Rain smiled wryly.
“Then, let’s stop and rest for now…Stagna, find a good place to camp,” suddenly, out of nowhere Zarda appeared and heard their conversation. She then immediately issued an order. Looking at Rain’s worried expression, she immediately said, “You don’t need to worry about being a burden or anything, Rain. This is also not for you, but for the others. Lamians also needs a rest,” she said with a wink.
Rain turned towards Zarda and smiled wryly. She always seemed to know what he was thinking. And most of it was almost accurate. He knows that Zarda didn't have a mind-reading ability, but still... damn she's dangerous in more ways than one.
“That’s hardly believable after seeing them as energetic as bulls. But nevertheless, I appreciate your concern Elder Sister…and thank you,”
Zarda smiled at him, her eyes filled clearly with love.
As usual, she looks good enough to satiate his exhausted mind. Especially, that short skirt and small fur that hugs her breast. Rain wondered if he should introduce the concept of underwear and brassier to this world, after all, it seems like there is none—at least not in the tribe. Rain thought as his eyes shamelessly tour her body—her curvy hips, her voluptuous chest, and most all of, her gorgeous face.
In an instant, Rain felt the tension due to the previous battle unwinds, and he breathes again. He wanted to kiss her. hell, he wanted to push her down and make love to her. Damn it! This must be Lafetti's effect on me! Rain shook his head with a wry smile. When did I become lustful?
Zarda seemed to notice Rain’s gaze as her lips curled into a brilliant smile. She then walked over and reached out her hand to Rain’s cheek, “Your well-being is much more important to me than some pesky ants…just treat this expedition as some sort of training…how is the fight?” she asked as she rubbed her thumb against his cheek with a loving expression.
Lafetti furrowed her brows but she didn’t say anything and just glared at her, while her tail wound itself around Rain tightly.
“It’s more than I bargained for sure…but it was fun, exciting even. I can feel myself getting stronger,” Rain happily replied.
“That’s better—but make sure you know how to protect yourself as well. Becoming strong is a slow and steady process, making haste will only birth tragedy. Taking care of yourself first is the most important,”
“I know, I sure will,” Rain replied as he leaned against Lafetti who was hugging him from the back.
After a long while, his excitement still had not died down. His heart was still beating crazily fast. That battle just now was truly, heart-drumming intense. However, he found solace in Lafetti’s embrace. The calm, the coldness of her skin sinking into him, and the scent coming from her was something Rain couldn’t do without even for a single day. His mind filling the tension of battle had slowly, steadily calmed down and the fatigue that surge forth slowly disappeared.
The group had camped beside a river. Zarda had organized the group in three concentric circles. Magical Beasts such as giant serpents that were cared for by several Lamians had been placed around the outermost circle, to act as an alarm in case of any intruders. The Lamians were stationed in the intermediate ring to fight if there was a battle. And lastly, the important group consisted of Zarda, Rain, Lafetti, Drova, and Stagna stayed in the innermost circle, just around the fire.
Expendable first, defender second and the most important at the inside.
A simple but common strategy.
Zarda was prepared for the worst. She believes that there would be an ambush. It was only a matter of time. After all, there are now much closer to the lair of the Tolants.
While resting, Rain huddled against Lafetti like a spoiled kid. This was his privilege and he would never shy away from it. Although he was still bothered about the other Lamian’s eyes looking at them, after spending a long time with them and doing much more embarrassing things in front of them, Rain had already gotten used to it. If he still tries to act like an ashamed maiden, he would not be a man.
To Lafetti, and to the Lamian’s eyes, kissing, flirting and fucking in front of them was as normal as fighting—Rain felt losing something whenever he cared about it.
“How is it?” Zarda came over after giving orders to the other Lamians.
“How is what?” Rain tilted his head and asked, somewhat not understanding what she was suddenly saying.
Zarda sat beside Lafetti and stared at Rain who was being enveloped by the latter. “Monsters in this forest are far stronger than what you can see outside of the Cave. Even Goblins and Slimes are a bit stronger than normal… The one you fought, that Troll should be the weakest of its group. Moreover, it’s heavily injured. But as you can see, it’s still very strong for you. From here on out, we are already near the Tolants Lair, and the battle from henceforth would be extremely intense.”
“…are you asking me to step back, and not fight…?” Rain smiled wryly. Was he being a burden? he smiled wryly. He was somewhat disappointed. But he was not narrow-minded. He hates to be the cause of something irredeemable. And if something does happen because of his own selfishness, he will never be able to live with it...at least, not within the Tribe again.
This narrative has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. If you see it on Amazon, please report it.
If Zarda wanted him to stop, perhaps he will. In any case, he already had his fun along the way. And he was thankful for them. But from here on out, it's already playing with the big guns, and his small knife would never be enough and will only be a burden.
However, to his surprise, Zarda shook her head; seemingly understanding what Rain was thinking. Well, she always did, as if she can read his mind. I hope not, since I've always been fantasizing about her...
“No, you misunderstand. That’s not what I’m trying to say… what I want to know is that, if you still want to fight then you can do what you want. We will do our best to support you. However, the others wouldn’t be able to focus their attention on you. Therefore, the battle would be much harder from now on. There would even be chances of you, being gravely injured...though, your life is guaranteed, of course. But Pain is Pain…”
And we would never want you to be in pain...
“… …”
“Though, if you really want to grow stronger, then you can only run forward despite the danger,”
“Sister!”
Zarda ignored Lafetti’s warning cry and stared at Rain. The crimson flecks in her eyes glittered like flames, and rain felt like a moth being attracted to it. He paused for a moment. But fortunately, with Lafetti's squeezed he was able to snap from his reverie in time before he actually leaned over to kiss her. That would awkward.
Although he really wanted to become stronger, Rain also dislikes burdening the others. If he continued on his selfishness, the other Lamians will surely accommodate it without hesitation. However, they would not be able to fight because of their worries—Rain felt moved by their concern but at the same time, feeling complicated. He was never the type to get showered by love, and yet these beautiful women are doing everything they can to make him happy. He felt so blessed, at the same time guilty…
After a while, Rain replied with a quiet “mm.” which, he could only do. He was at a loss. he wanted to fight together with him, but what if...?
It was very gentle and easily went into the depths of both Lamian's heart…
“I’ll best limit my participation… I already have my fill, anyway. As much as possible, I hate to disturb them… but if there is something I can do, please don’t hesitate to call me. I’m always willing to serve,” Rain replied with a faint smile.
“No one is thinking of you as a burden here, Rain,” Zarda darts her hand sideways, patting his chest over the fabric of his shirt. “No one will ever do… if you want to play, then play as much as you want,”
“It’s not like that,” Rain shook his head. He grabbed Lafetti’s arm around him and crossed it in front of his chest, burrowing himself even deeper to her embrace. Lafetti responded by tightening her hold, “Just like you say, haste makes waste. I’ll become stronger at a slow but steady pace… I’m also thinking about having magic as well, so for now, I’m not really in a hurry to become stronger.”
Yeah...there's also the magic part. I sure want to be able to use it.
“Well, if that’s what you want…hm, well how about we continue what we are doing right now? If there’s an opportunity, then you can fight but don’t forget, you can’t leave my side,”
He smiled. It was one of the many things he loved about Zarda, She was soft and sweet. He felt blessed to have the Lamians with him. And most of all, having someone like Zarda who takes care of him always and watching him with so much compassion in her lovely crimson eyes. Lamians are dangerous? Sure. But for him, they are also the most loving creatures in the world. Humans in this world are dumb, and A-holes, with a CAPITAL A!
Lamians are obviously beautiful, clever, loyal, and brave. How could they subject them to cruelty and discrimination just because of their form?
Rain leaned against Lafetti's tight embrace while watching Zarda's clear emotion of love and affection. Their scent filled him with a sense of comfort and peace.
“Thank you,” Rain nodded his head. His innocent smile warmed Zarda’s heart. It was the smile of an honest and energetic child. At the same time, the one who had accepted them for who they truly are.
Zarda nodded her head with a sweet smile, patting his cheek gently, then stood up and left.
Rain followed her retreating back with his eyes when suddenly he realized something—he had been lying on top of Lafetti for a while now. As for Lafetti, she was lying there, leaning against the back of a large tree with Rain’s entire body weight on him, and he laid in her arms, body on top of the body, legs on top of legs(tail in this matter)…
Furthermore, since Lafetti took her armor and was basically naked, while Rain was just dressed in thin clothes, not used to having an armor so it felt somewhat stuffy, they were basically dressed so lightly it was almost skin-to-skin contact…
Rain could sense beads of sweat starting to form even on his nose, and he shifted slightly. “Don’t you find me heavy? …”
Beside his ear, her voice gave a light laugh. “I don’t mind.”
Rain could feel her hand on his waist… Her hand, unnaturally, naturally slipped inside his pants, therefore her hand was lying atop his thigh… She’s always been a pervert… Rain shook his head. But he didn’t mind it. Clearing his throat, a bit sleepy, he said softly, “Thank you for letting me fight…and I’m sorry for accusing you at the start,”
She replied with an unpretentious “mm.” “Well, you can do as you want, but obtaining injuries is forbidden,”
It’s not like that’s something I can avoid though…
“How did I do?”
Rain asked as lifted his head to gaze up at her.
“Still not up to par,” she replied with a pretentious smile, “But passable,”
Rain grinned. “I was actually quite scared during the fight. The Troll was stronger than I expected. Although I was confident in my speed, the Troll seemed to be able to see through me, and still avoid or deflect my attack. Not to mention the Troll’s exaggerated healing factor, I felt as if despite being heavily wounded, it was steadily recovering.”
“But the last attack was splendid,”
“You think so?”
Lafetti nodded her head. “It’s fast and extremely precise… like Drova I was somewhat against you using such thin sword that seemed easy to break. But now I know why. And I think it’s not that bad…”
The corner of her lips turned up in a smile.
Rain was uncertain whether he was the one who moved in closer to her or she naturally followed the momentum of her movements and bumped into his. The only thing Rain felt was that she seemed like she wanted to completely devour him as he melted away into her kiss.
Rain was determined not to respond to Lafetti’s kiss but her awareness of the rest of the people around them watching made it difficult for him to put his resistance into action. He began to kiss her back and told himself she’d had no other choice, but another part of him wondered if he would have responded anyway, audience or not.
Rain loops a hand around her back as she dips him as far as she can, not caring about the other Lamians watching enviously, kissing the hell out of him. They’re in the midst of dozen glaring eyes, and she kisses him like there is no tomorrow.
Slow and tender at first. A teasing slide of lips—just enough so Rain can taste her spearmint breath, reminiscent of the fruits they had just eaten a while ago. Responding at her aggression, Rain parts her lips, opens her mouth and tangles his tongue with her long one.
Whenever they kissed like this, she always as if she was tasting his entire mouth due to the raucous tongue of hers that seemed to move like a living a snake. Because of this, Rain can’t help but moan into her mouth as a shudder runs through his body and everything goes hazy.
The Lamian’s innate aphrodisiac saliva seemed to have kicked in as his brain sends the message to swoon, just swoon. She then moved her tail to rub herself against him. He was already swollen. And hard.
In the beginning, he had still been lying on top of her, but by the end, his entire body was lifted up by the long tail coiling around his waist—and now he was face to face to her, making it easy to make out. Her arms slid up around his neck as her breathing grew ragged from being kissed for so long, and her mind as well became slightly disoriented.
"Lafetti," he placed his hands on her face. His beathe was quick and choppy. “Not now…” his breathing heavier from intense arousal. “Let’s do it when we are alone, please?”
“You should not mind them,” Lafetti brushes her fingertips across his cheek. “You should let them see that you are mine…always,”
Rain’s lips part, but his expression softens further. His lovely blue eyes flash with a vulnerability that is rare for him, but Lafetti has seen it more and more. He can never resist her. And she knows that. Despite what he wanted, and complaints, Rain was soft and faint-hearted, he could never let her down...even afford to.
And that's why she loves him.
“I’m…I’m sorry…” he suddenly muttered, catching Lafetti off-guard. Why is he apologizing? Lafetti tilted her head in bewilderment and drops her hand, but he catches it, threading his fingers into hers. “I said that I will love you…only you…of course, I’m not lying. I’m saying the truth…but….but my heart moves for someone else…of course, I…”
“Was it Elder Sister?” unexpectedly Lafetti’s response was soft, gentle. It caught Rain somewhat surprised. He nodded, “It’s not only her… …” She squeezed his fingers, and he squeezes her back. It felt so good that he entwined his fingers with hers. “Sarete? Or Miyabila, right?”
“I…with Miyabila…I…”
Lafetti cupper Rain’s guilty face and placed her thumb on his lips. “I know,”
“?!”
Looking at Rain’s surprised expression, Lafetti couldn’t help but smile in amusement. “Do you think you can hide anything from me?” she said.
“I’m sorry,”
She presses a gentle kiss t his forehead, “I’m angry… but not mad. I know my kind compared to yours, and actually I wouldn’t mind it at all. It’s something inevitable…the way they cared for you, I would find it impossible for you not to be move… but Rain, what I want to ask you is that… do you love me?”
“I do… I love you with all my heart, Lafetti…and that would never change,”
“And that’s all I want. The flesh is but a momentary pleasure…but you must be mine, understand?”
Rain’s face turned red, feeling the way she says it somewhat kinda dirty. However, he still nodded—suddenly, he felt himself being lifted. Hm? “What are you—”
“However, I’m still somewhat pissed that you fuck with Miyabila behind my back,” Lafetti smiled in spite of the twinged of annoyance she felt.
“Wai—!! Actually we still haven’t gone that far!!” Rain immediately denied it. His face somewhat ashamed and embarrassed.
But Lafetti didn’t seem to hear it, or perhaps, she just didn’t care. “I’ll only forgive you if you are here, buried inside me,” she said, her voice going low and dirty, while her lips curling into a predatory smile.
“Lafetti, I don’t think this is the time—”
“Don’t worry, we can move to a secret place like you wanted,” Lafetti grinned as she started walking towards a dark and bushy place under the strange gazes of the other Lamians.
“Lafetti, don’t go too far,” Zarda’s voice rang out, causing Rain to become even more embarrassed.
He suddenly has an urge to jump into the river and die!
… …
