The group of three was making their way to the next quest location, the graveyard.
"Alright, I know what to do here, we'll kill the cider slimes, then we'll go piss on the graves," JohnWillStab explained.
"Right!" Alexander agreed.
"I'm sorry what!?" Jordan demanded stopping, JohnWillStab turned to face him.
"Relax, it's just like in the game!" John assured him.
"Guys..." Alex tugged on JohnWillStab's sleeve.
"Yeah?" John asked turning to face him only to see what Alex was pointing at.
"Was this always here?" he asked pointing at the massive four-meter tall slime, its body was filled with suspended apples, the slime taking the shape of a head arching over from the main mass and tendrils sprouting from the base.
"No..." JohnWillStab replied.
Instantly the slime began his attack, its tendrils slithered towards JohnWillStab, grabbing him by the feet and pulling him over the massive the skull.
JonhWillStab slashed at the tentacles holding him up causing him to fall towards the monster, instead of just stabbing it, JohnWillStab fell into it.
He was floating around in an ocean of amber cider.
"Tastes better than the piss at the inn." he thought, the monster didn't realise he didn't need oxygen.
Meanwhile, Jordan was aiming his staff at the creature, a ball of flames flew its way searing its skin such that the thick membrane of the slime charred black and cracked allowing streams of cider to flow out.
Within moments the wound was patched.
"He's healing too quickly! I can't use the fire that much!" Jordan called out.
"Don't worry about all that, as it happens I - Alexander, have managed to reach level seven already!" he boasted reaching for the two swords on his back.
He ran up to the slime, each tendril that swiped at him was sliced, he sliced the two blades into the mass of the slime.

"That dumbass thinks he can stab that to death?!" Jordan thought.
"PREPARE TO WITNESS THE POWER OF THE AZURE SPELL BLADE!" he called out as his flames burst into blue fire, unlike Jordan's projectile, the blue flames of Alex kept burning, any time the wound tried to heal it crumbled away.
As the slime deflated like a balloon castle, JohnWillStab was finally able to grab hold of one of the walls in the thick, syrupy liquid inside the slime, he stabbed it open, poking his head out and releasing a stream of thick, slime-cider.
JohnWillStab slid out from the slime and started falling to the ground.
"I'll catch him!"
"I'll catch him!"
For all the times Alex repeated that sentence, JohnWillStab still fell to the ground.
Alex jumped back from the fight.
"Aaand I'm out of mana, you might want to deal with him for the XP." Alex exclaimed as he began legging it, away from the slime.
Just as he said that the slime let out a loud cry, the ground began to rumble as all the bits of slime on the ground took shape and became little slimes.
They all charged at the group of three.
JohnWillStab rushed past the (relatively slow) wave of slimes as he was able to make it to the other two.
In the distance, they saw the massive slime further deflate as from inside came swarms of slimes.
"Looks like there'll be enough XP to go around..." JohnWillStab sighed.
JohnWillStab took out his second dagger, he dual-wielded daggers and used them to throw at the slimes.
"I'll keep the slimes away from us, Jordan, you shoot at the clusters with fire, Alex, do you have any AOE?" JohnWillStab exclaimed.
"Got it!" Jordan began shooting a ball of fire into the wave of slimes, he was able to burn five or ten at a time, from the looks of it, he was only able to fire once every ten seconds.
JohnWillStab still didn't know the limits of his mana.
"I don't have any AOE! Though I can slash more than on slime at a time when I'm close-up!"
JohnWillStab looked at Alex.
"He doesn't have endless stamina... so I should try and keep his strengths up... not to mention he said his mana was gone..." John thought.
"Alright, you stay in the back in case I run out of stamina or we're getting attacked from the side," JohnWillStab instructed.
"Alright!"
From John's sleeve emerged a slime-covered and very upset Arachnophobia.
She pounced into the front limes, valiantly chewing and clawing the incoming slimes... granted she only went after the cat-sized ones.
In the distance the slimes took the shape of more than just blobs, some merged and took the shape of spiders, boars, bulls even.
"They're turning to look like the creatures in the woods!" JohnWillStab exclaimed out loud.
The boar-slimes didn't get any faster, but they looked more intimidating.
The group fended off the army of slimes for what must have been over twenty minutes before Jordan finally dropped to the ground.
"I don't... I don't think I can cast any more fire... balls..." he was breathing heavily.
"Alright, rest up!" JohnWillStab exclaimed as Alex moved in closer.
"I'd say this is a good time to get involved." He exclaimed.
"Yeah." JohnWillStab agreed.
"Without a caster... we don't stand a chance..." JohnWillStab thought.
He looked over to the many houses near the orchard.
"What to do... what to do..." he kept thinking about it, but no idea came to him.
"We'll barricade ourselves off in that building!" JohnWillStab exclaimed pointing to the house far to the right of where the giant slime's membrane lay.
"Are you sure?" Alex asked, "We'll be surrounded!"
"We can't let this slime thing grow any bigger!" JohnWillStab explained.
"Guess you're right..." Alex agreed.
"Besides... it would be a decent adventure..." JohnWillStab added.
Alex realised John was taking the adventure thing seriously.
"What have I done..." Alex thought.
JohnWillStab carried Jordan like a sack of potatoes into the two-story house, he grabbed a table an a few chairs and threw them in front of the door.
"I think we're safe for now..." JohnWillStab sighed.
"I sure hope so!" Alexander added.
They walked upstairs and dropped Jordan off in some bed they found before heading downstairs.
"Block off all the windows, shelves, cupboards, anything will do," JohnWillStab instructed.
"WHAT HAVE I DONE!?" Alex thought pushing a massive shelf filled With dusty plates and cups against two windows.
