JohnWillStab and Kwispii walked through the forest until they reached a large doorway, made of white rock and covered in vines.
Kwispii has invited him into his party.
"JohnWillStab: What is this?"
"Kwispii: It is portal, to temple where I train."
"JohnWillStab: We’re going to a temple?"
"Kwispii: Yes, I own temple in mountains, it comes with title of grandmaster fighter."
As soon as Kwispii stepped close to the doorway, a white light appeared, hesitantly, JohnWillStab entered and Kwispii followed.
When they crossed the portal, they appeared in the middle of a snowy tundra, with nothing but a few trees clinging to life I the wind that felt like tiny razorblades cutting into your skin.
"Kwispii: We are in Kearudown, continent east of Arlepia."
"Kwispii: Specifically, we are in Splinterwind."
"JohnWillStab: Looks cold!"
"Kwispii: Yes, this is your first task, will you make it to top of mountain?" he pointed at the massive peaks that poked through the clouds in the distance.
JohnWillStab wasn’t sure what was so difficult about this task, all he had to do was walk, sure it could take a while.
With that said, Kwispii walked towards the mountain at a normal pace.
Quickly, JohnWillStab rushed behind him only to see something flash in the corner of his eye before being blown to the side by the wind.
"JohnWillStab: What the hell?!"
"Kwispii: The wind is strong, you can take portal back to forest if you wish."
Without replying JohnWillStab stood up and tried to make another dash for the mountain, like a shriek of a thousand dying giants, a gust of wind pummelled his from left to right over and over again.
“Shit, my room is actually freezing!” he looked over to the window seeing that outside was actually pretty sunny, “Don’t tell me I can feel cold now, too!?”
Once again something flashed onto his screen, this time he managed to notice a tiny bit of it, a big circle with the letter “X” inside.
JohnWillStab stood up and started running towards the mountain once more, another shriek rang out as a gust of wind charged into him like a speeding bus, the tiny box appeared “Press x”

He did as instructed and his character was barely affected by the wind, as he continued walking moments later he heard another gust of wind quieter than before and as it crashed into him he was sent flying despite his pressing of the “X” key, he glanced over to the little message from before “Press g”
Annoyed, JohnWillStab awaited the next gust of wind, like a shriek it came towards him, he didn’t try to avoid it, he just looked to where the button would appear, “Press x”
Another shriek, “Press x”
A deeper, heavier, bellowing sound echoed, as JohnWillStab took the hit he saw the letter “m” appear.
A howl of wind came at him, shredding through the snow on its way - when it hit JohnWillStab it cut deep into his leaving a splatter of blood in the snow and cutting his coat into bits, the message read “Press u”
“Shriek means x”
“Howl means u”
“Bellow means m”
“Quiet means g”
JohnWillStab kept going over this as he stood perfectly still, a sharp, shrieking wind came at him and without hesitation he pressed x, withstanding the gust of wind without any trouble.
A howl came towards him, he saw the snow tearing up and without even looking at it he knew to click u, letting the snow-cutting wind fly past him.
With the experimenting out of the way, he started running towards the mountain, dodging one gust of wind after another.
In soon he was able to dodge about eighty percent of the wind, with the occasional misclick or slow reflexes getting in the way.
As he reached the end of the flat tundra and reached the base of the mountain he saw the path was carved into the shape of a valley, stopping him from falling anywhere but backwards.
“Thank God I don’t have to climb an actual mountain.”
Little did JohnWillStab know the actual purpose of this shape, as the winds above sank down and started falling down the slope towards JohnWillStab, resulting in him having to press multiple buttons at the same time, and usually having him fall down back to the start.
Two hours later…
JohnWillStab was wrapped up in three blankets or so and was drinking a hot cup of noodles.
JohnWillStab was running up the mountain, he was able to pick up on which sounds were present, and to an extent, he could gauge in which order they would crash into him, he was able to dodge them and make it up, soon he was able to reach the second layer, the slope was replaced by a layer of clouds, nothing was visible except the ground he stood on, the roar of the mountain was replaced with complete silence.
He took one step forward and saw another window appear, it was... a rhythm game.
It had a little image of a chibi-JohnWillStab performing a dance as JohnWillStab had to mash his space key to match the rhythm of a drum.
“Congratulations! You got 90% - better luck next time!” as the window disappeared he heard a dozen or so different gusts of wind come at him, unable to dodge all of them he was launched off the mountain and deep into the snow below, where the wind felt like a gentle breeze in comparison.
He made his way through the tundra, through the slope and onto the rhythm-game part, where he performed another rhythm game, this time getting an 83% and getting shot up before landing in the snow at the base of the mountain.
"JohnWillStab: SON OF A B#*CH!"
He started running once more, dodging the wind in the tundra, dodging every hit on the slopes and playing the same game, this time getting a 91% result.
As the gusts of wind came in, he started smashing all four keys in hope of dodging the attacks, but the moment he failed to dodge one gust of wind, he was screwed.
He was shot back down to the base of the mountain, the multiple howling winds reducing his armour to a loose collection of fabric.
Amidst his anger, JohnWillStab realised he never considered why he is always sent down to this part of the mountain, “Surely it couldn’t be a coincidence” he though.
He stood there, in the tundra awaiting a gust of wind, he heard a bellowing gust of wind coming his way and as it crashed into him it pushed his backwards.
A howling gust of wind came his way and shot him to this right, the quiet guest of wind shot him to the left and the shrieking gust of wind shot him forward.
With this knowledge JohnWillStab was running up the mountain once more, dodging all the wind until he made it to the rhythm game, getting a 16% before having another dozen gusts of wind appear, the first one was quiet, he smashed the “g” key and was launched forward towards where his character was looking, he landed face-first into the snow, but not at the base of the mountain, instead, he was now at the base of a massive, wooden gate, with a sign reading “You made it to bear temple.”
