Chapter Two, Human Intelligence.

...

----------------------------------------

...

...

Lokreum sat in the watery void outside of existence, examining the happenings within his body.

He was surely happy with his work.

He had created a super, yet still natural way of existence.

There were countless Natural laws! Like that of Order that allowed for matter to exist. Or that of Finality that cursed all things to eventually reach an end.

Even more expected Natural laws like that of Space-Time, that bound the two concepts together, forcing them to exist in tandem.

Yet, there were more Supernatural, Natural laws.

For example, the Law of Fate. It proved all things had a predestined route to follow, and that everything happened the way they were intended.

Or even, the Law of Bloodline, that made it to where power and memories had the chance to be passed down through descendants.

There were the Natural laws of Progression, Light, Darkness, Death, Balance, Formation, Boundaries, Recreation, Control, Limit, Order, Disorder, and countless more.

Yet, existing along side these Natural laws were those that were False. Laws that were intended to be used in defiance against these nearly all powerful Natural laws.

The False laws were a relatively fleshed out system of power, allowing for one to defy the rules that were supposedly set in stone.

How could one defy Finality and Death?

Well of course, one would need to understand the Taboo laws of Immortality, or Invincibility.

But, how would just understanding these laws grant anyone power?

In truth, Lokreum had truly thought deeply about it.

So, in the end, he came up with this supernatural power system.

Of course, accompanying the Laws, were their own essences.

Having a certain level of comprehension in a Law, be it a Natural, or a False, would grant access to their essence.

If one came to comprehend the Natural Law of Life, they would be able to perceive the Life essence around them, and manipulate it to whatever their will desires.

One would be able to twist and turn the Life essence of another in many ways. Maybe they would choose to overstimulate ones Life essence, causing them to rapidly grow extra appendages, or to cause one to age faster.

But, harnessing foreign Law essence wasn't an easy task.

So, Lokreum formulated a specific constitution for all living things.

Using the Natural Laws of Mind, Form, and Soul, he created the Kreuvian System.

With the Kreuvian System reigning over every inch of existence, there was now another supernatural energy that didn't belong to the Laws.

It existed in quite literally everything, it was a living energy, and considering it was so, it brought life into every single existence.

Kreus, the power source, was a culmination of the energy created by ones form, aka body, mind, and soul. If one knew how to cultivate their kreus, they could use that to awaken themselves, and open their soul.

The Origin, is a place within the soul, shielded away by the soul's outer shell. It acts as a container, allowing for the storage of other energies, like that of kreus and Law essences!

While kreus of course is present within every part of an existence, their body, mind, and even soul itself, with an opened Origin, even more life force could be stored away.

With an awakened Origin, one would have the chance to filter Law essence into their body through kreuvian pathways. Unfortunately, they'd have to be truly powerful to withstand the grandeur pressure of Laws.

False or not...

Lokreum strode through existence, traversing the realm Inbetween realities.

His eyes wandered, alongside his mind, and even his hands.

He created countless artifacts and concepts in the spur of the moment, predicting the fact he would utilize some of these in the endless future.

Some of the artifacts he created were flicked off through space, their destinies pre-calculated.

But, eventually, his thousands of parallel thoughts finally slowed.

Lokreum, the all-powerful lord of everything, was already getting burnt out.

His conscience that was capable of experiencing every single point in time and space, in one moment, had grown bored.

His eyes mentally closed, and he took a deep breath, pausing his stroll through realities.

He fought against his mind, restricting the innumerable trains of thought.

He decided he would enjoy utilizing human intelligence.

The future if he did not do so, was rather grim...

Where would the joy in life be if he knew everything? What would surprise him if he could see everything before it even happened?

There would be no joy, no surprise, and he would not truly, live.

So, his thought speed slowed drastically, and he decided to live in the present.

Not the past.

Not the future.

But the present.

”So this is what the world truly looks like…” He mumbled.

There were a lot less colors, a drastic change from perceiving all of everything, everywhere, all at once.

Previously, he was constantly observing. Watching a star in its early stages, late stages, even the empty space the star left.

But now…

”It still truly is beautiful.” Lokreum’s hand caressed his chin, his legs still carrying him through the Inbetween.

Though, out of nowhere, he came to an almost screeching halt.

“Hmm?” Although Lokreum knew that time differed all throughout existence, he did not expect something surprising to appear so soon. He had just deactivated his omniscience...

His neck craned towards a nearby reality, it’s colossal size catching him slightly off guard.

His eyes gazed through the thick reality walls, staring at quite an unusual scene.

...

"It never fails to surprise me Brother. It seems neither of us will ever win." At the center of this reality was nothing but a table.

At it sat two middle aged humans, a woman wearing casual clothes and sunglasses, and a man suited with a top hat and monocle.

It was quite the outfit considering they seemed to be having a friendly chess match.

"We are both omniscient, we know this will never end..." The man sighed.

Even though the two were both seemingly omnipotent beings, they knew that their ideals would clash if they wanted to rule this vast reality together.

So instead, they decided to play a chess match to determine who would rule.

Chess was a game that required you to be ten steps ahead.

But how could you play when both of you are thousands of steps into the future?

An outside entity gazed upon their game with interest, his real omnipotence seeping through as he unconsciously listened to their thoughts.

‘Someone is watching us Sister.’ The man in the top hat, glanced into the eyes of the woman

‘It's rather obvious. They seem to be not intent on hiding their prying gaze either.’ The Sister responded.

‘To be able to peer into our dimension with such ease isn't any run of the mill feat...This entity clearly holds unimaginable power... it would hard for us to even look outside, let alone another looking inside...’

The two continued to converse in their minds while keeping up their facade. To most, it would look as if they hadn't changed at all. They were still speaking clearly with their mouths despite holding a separate conversation mentally.

‘I don't sense any evil intent, we should be fine.’ The woman said.

‘It seems so...’ Brother responded. 'I can’t perceive anything of this creature… Not even their name.’

For the both of them it was an intriguing phenomenon, yet they didn't feel scared at all.

Of course thanks to Lokreum’s influence.

Their little predicament was able to grab his attention for a while.

He planned on thanking them for the temporary entertainment. He didn't want them to be scared of before he even showed himself.

...

"Hello." Lokreum waved, appearing in a blink.

Being existence itself, he naturally had a connection to everything.

The two false omnipotents could sense this connection instantly.

The woman's attention was immediately caught. She was awestruck, frightened, and curious. She wished to understand exactly who the creature before them was.

She could only feel a fraction of Lokreum's power, yet she knew even this was enough to erase her life with just a glance.

With hesitation, she spoke, her brother being rather... mind-fucked?

"Hello?..."
