Chapter Seventy One, Six Hundred Years.

...

Almost six hundred years passed in that fashion. The first kings had been lost to time, their legacies forever effecting the world. A human adorned in rather medieval clothing slowly walked the streets of a city.

He was touring the capital city of the Sumerian Empire. An empire established by Sumer IV, the descendant of the very first human king. Nearing the three hundredth century, Sumer IV took up the mantle of king, and under his lead, their scope greatly expanded.

The kingdom had grown too large to just have one capital city and a dozen lesser domains. So, he went a rank above kings.

Sumer IV became the first emperor, splitting Sunvera into three different kingdoms, the other two ruled by his closest and most worthy of people.

By this point, human civilization had reached nearly two hundred million warm bodies.

It was a wonderful thing. To see the child of the two kings follow in the steps of her parents.

Humanity would never know, but, the first three kings were all women.

Sumer II was blessed with only boys, so that was where the line of powerful men sprouted.

At this point in time, even the king himself had not known this. These secrets were lost to time, and all he knew from back then was that his ancestors were something forbidden.

A beastkin and a human, intermingling together?

That was unheard of in all history. The beastkin were still a hard limit for humanity. They were not to be messed with, observed, and even thought about. The human kingdom had continued to expand downwards away from the beastkin, and thankfully, the beast kingdom was venturing north bound.

There was no possible way the two communities would come into contact unless they decided to change their routes of exploration.

But the beastkin seemed more content with the north. The south was too warm for their tastes.

The human continued to trot, pausing along the street and turning to his right. He entered a shop, a family owned food place. Calmly, his eyes swept around the area, his red and purple irises examining all that was around.

"Welcome!" A young girl announced, walking up towards the man that had entered.

You could be reading stolen content. Head to Royal Road for the genuine story.

She extended her arm, handing him a menu.

"Would you like to choose your seating sir? We have many open spots today." She spoke, beckoning the man forward.

With a smile on his face, Lokreum nodded.

He stepped forward, finding himself seated at a table meant for two.

Sitting alone, Lokreum found himself reminiscing.

The Rocc Dynasty existed one hundred and sixty two thousand years ago... Venator had ruled the continent, residing directly in the middle. His kingdom was expansive and powerful. They had inklings of technology. A deep culture, and an even deeper religion.

Taking away the fact that humanity was not at the era in which Venator had brought forth, it was clear to Lokreum that they would never be of the same grandeur.

Venator had created a perfect utopia. A kingdom of happiness and innovation. There were no crimes. There was no real discomfort. All faith was placed in the hands of the kings, and the glory of the gods.

His daughter and He himself.

The, He, in question, put down his cup of hot coffee. He closed his eyes, and spread his awareness all throughout the world.

"Sirft's son will be born soon... More Godkin are reaching the peak of the sixth level. The First Order is digging deeper into their powers..." He sighed.

"Perhaps there will be calamity soon..." Picking up the mug once more, Lokreum prepared to take a sip.

But he was interrupted.

"What are you doing here in this little shop all alone? Kind sir?..." A woman spoke, pulling out the seat opposite of him and taking it as her own.

His brow raised, not stopping his sip, elongating it in fact.

Slowly, he put the cup down once more, clearing his throat.

"And you are?" He asked.

"I am just a passerby! Well, in reality, I fancy this shop pretty often. I'm here every day and I have yet to see you." She explained. "Honestly this place is like a second home to me, so when I see a lone visitor in such deep thought... I just couldn't help but introduce myself!" She said with a smile.

Lokreum stifled his chuckle.

When was the last time someone had spoken to him like this?

Apart from Lokreum, there was always a form of reverence laced within what they did.

"Intriguing..." He replied.

"So, are you going to answer my question?" She beckoned.

"Ah... What am I doing here? I was just wandering the streets and saw a nice shop. A man can't get breakfast nowadays?" He smiled, his hand around the cup on the table.

"No no, I didn't say that. I wasn't interrogating, just curious." The woman replied. "May I have your name?" She followed up, extending one of her hands.

Lokreum looked at her palm, gazing towards her in thought.

He took her hand in his, shaking with a semi firm grip.

"You will have to earn that information." He smiled mischievously, the woman across from him furrowing her brows in amusement.

"Well alright mysterious sir, I am Diana." She shook his hand back, a smile on her face.

"What're you planning on ordering for food? I can recommend some things." She quickly changed the subjects, grabbing Lokreum's menu for her own.

Calmly, he watched as she rambled, pointing out dishes that she loved, and those that she hated.

Lokreum was rather entertained.

Perhaps he could get used to being human for a few hours a day.

"How can I go beyond Ignotovians... How can I put myself in a different realm, as the Ignotovians do... They exist outside of the governance of laws, they become the laws themselves... I need something on the same level." A cloud of darkness circled around in a cavern, deep in thought.

Seiya was not sure of how he would do it, but he could not lag behind that human progenitor.
