Chapter Seventy Two, Alchemy.

Finishing his coffee, Lokreum nodded.
"I know more than you might think." He replied, Diana leading forward.
"And what might you know exactly? Alchemy isn't exactly something that many people know about..." She questioned.
He didn't know how their conversation had transformed into this, but somehow they had gotten onto this topic.
Alchemy?
From what he could infer, it seemed that Diana was confident in her knowledge, and he found that interesting.
"I know a lot." He laughed.
Diana tilted her head, stroking her chin.
"Okay so what is alchemy? Even the king is just now starting to research it... I was hoping I could enlighten you since you seem to be rather sophisticated. I can count the amount of people that know what alchemy is on two hands kind sir, and you surely weren't apart of the list." She explained.
Lokreum looked towards his left, picking up the fork on the table.
"What is alchemy?" He reiterated. He stabbed the potato in his bowl of stew, bringing it up to his mouth.
He forced her to wait for a few moments, letting her watch as he ate.
"Alchemy is..." He started, completing his bite. "Alchemy is a science... A practice that ties in with spirituality and physicality. Alchemy aims to uncover the secrets of life, and open up the gateway of truth. It's fabled that a true alchemist can turn lead into gold, and live life eternally." He nodded.
"To alter the physical world with one's own spirituality is the true way of an alchemist. Transforming one material into another. Crafting items with functions beyond the normal capabilities. Alchemy is a secret, but boundless practice, which you can do nearly anything with if you are well versed within it." He finished, smiling towards the woman before him.
Clearly, she was shocked.
Her eyebrows were raised, and slowly, her mouth started to twitch.
"I knew it..." She whispered.
"Something was off about you... I couldn't tell to be quite honest, I assumed you may have been a fabled super natural... But you emanate a wisdom beyond that of what a super natural would give off." Her smile grew wider.
"Are you an alchemist?" She beamed in a hushed tone, looking over her shoulders. Thankfully, nobody was nearby, and even if they were, they likely wouldn't even know what an alchemist was...
Lokreum chuckled.
He didn't expect this to be the way his day turned out...
"It depends how you look at things..." He leant back, putting his hand on his chin.
If you spot this narrative on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
"C-Can you show me alchemy?" She shot forward grabbing at the table. With a pout on her face, she begged, as if she was a child begging for a toy.
Lokreum laughed once more, surprise on his face.
One of his hands extended, pointing towards a potato within his bowl. A spark jolted out of his finger, encompassing the potato and slowly traveling over it. The ring of electricity reconnected on the other side, dissipating and revealing something entire different.
A cube of ice appeared within the bowl, having the same shape as the potato form it was prior. It sunk into the stew, melting rather quickly considering the heat of the food within the bowl.
Lokreum brought his hand back to his chest, folding his arms across his body.
Diana's jaw dropped, her gaze alternating between him and the melting cube of ice.
"Y-Yo-You really are an alchemist..."

Two entities stepped through a film.
They breached the walls of a reality.
One of them led, while the other walked behind.
"Rather empty... But..." The boundless entity spoke, examining the entirety of the reality. It was small, rather unoccupied, but indescribably intricate.
He could feel the countless laws, the vast majority of which he could understand. But more surprisingly, he could really feel a specific law.
A law that was broken? He could not understand, but it was clear that the law was unstable. There was an entity holding the law together, and it confused him. Alongside this, he could feel another power. There was perhaps another law that was broken, but it was not as easy to perceive. It did not feel like a normal law.
He looked all around, confusion on his face.
Slowly, his vision fell onto the planet in the distance, tilting his head.
"Level twenty are you?..." He smiled.
The existence strode forward, his hands behind his back.
"Level twenty? That's exaggerated... Are you sure you're sensing things correctly?" His follower asked from behind, striding in tow.
The entity in the lead shook his head, almost disappointed.
"When am I wrong?" He asked, turning over his shoulder.
"...Well... Never, really..." His follower said timidly.
Looking forward, the boundless existence nodded.
He continued to walk, the vast planet before him as his target.
The level eighteen existence was surprised, but there was a hint of respect in his heart.
"What have you done to garner such power, Shiva?..."

"The world is in a calm state... Just look at it. There's no wars, no fighting, just pure peace." Julius said, walking up behind a woman.
The two were atop of Gods Peak, looking out over the world.
"I can see that..." Citemer chuckled. "Just a couple dozen years and humanity may enter the era of mechanics and steam punk... Won't that be interesting." She spoke.
Julius found himself by her side, nodding in response.
"But that era will be short lived... Well, their peace will be short lived at the least." He replied.
"Sirft is nearing the completion of his son... Perhaps just a few more days and a potential god will be born..." Julius smiled creepily.
"Seems like you're eager to see how things play out..." Citemer said, flaunting a fake shocked expression.
"Of course I am! A creature bred to have high but stable kreus, and a rampant mind for intense sorcery... It is a diluted piece of a literal Earth God, and he is only destined to sprout into another!" Julius raised a fist.
"And this prodigy was created with the secondary purpose of exploring the world! I've been waiting for the day that the three races collide! Well perhaps, the four races may collide in all honesty." He continued.
"I would pay to see Edit clash with Godkin or even Vitarian Primordials... He is not on the level of Sirft, but he is an ancient child of hell spawned by the cross breeding of Ygdridum and a true earth demon!" It was as clear as day...
Julius was rather excited...
Citemer could only smile, switching her gaze from her husband and back out to the world.
She squinted, her vision traveling across the world as she observed the Vitarian colonies.
She may not have yet become as powerful as those she surrounded herself with, but she was still an ancient deity. She was an entity of the ninth level, a cosmic creature!
But maybe this low level wasn't the greatest of things.
Maybe a certain creature could perceive he was being watched, rather clearly at that.
Despite not even being at the first level, he was a creature that had more experience than most that were even in the low levels of the cosmic realm.
Sirft could sense her gaze, and it intrigued him.
