Chapter Thirty Four, To Buy Time.

----------------------------------------

...

Kieron was the oldest existence behind Lokreum. His reality was the first to form after the era of creation. He was inborn with the power and energies worth over one hundred realities. His kreus was imprinted with the ability to alter reality on a whim!

Any, reality.

Though, the activation requirement was, writing. To fully utilize his power, he had to write down his goals in the runic language. That's exactly how he built his Olden Realm. He made countless stories, biographies, lore, history...

Kieron was a creature that was currently the most powerful, disregarding the one true omnipotent.

He had lived through epochs.

Eras.

Eons.

Yet, in his entire life time, he had yet to see a creature weaker than him, that scared him so much.

Looking at the reality mirror, he stared into the eyes of Ruination.

He felt an unbound authority deep within, an authority that only Lokreum had.

"I-Is this your... interference?" He stuttered, glancing towards Lokreum.

He still stood in the middle of the three, surveying the war displayed before him.

Hidden behind the sound of Sage's hyperventilation, was a small chuckle.

There was the tiniest of movement in Lokreum's body, but he did not answer.

Kieron turned back to the screen, gulping.

"There are destructive laws I have never even encountered before... within this, Ruination."

...

A sword cleaved through reality, Ruination flipping over the massive wave of essence that was launched towards it.

It's massive smile was intimidating, to say the least.

Tyr leapt away, wiping the sweat off of his forehead as he flicked his sword downwards.

"I can't hit it." He whispered.

A light blazed past him, Julius slicing at the creature. Of course, his efforts were met with the same result.

Their opponent slipped past his sword, laughingly madly. A tongue of red essence drooped out of it's mouth. In an instant, it elongated and shot out towards Julius.

It was aiming for his arm.

"Careful." A woman spoke, grabbing the tongue before it could reach Julius. With it in her grasp, she yanked Ruination forward, her sword cutting through it's body.

It screeched for but a moment, it's body repairing as quickly as the sword cut.

With her foot, she threw a kick at the entity, sending it downwards in a spiral.

The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.

"We have no chemistry. We need to chain our attac-"

BOOM!

A fist came crashing through her jaw, shattering every bone within it and launching her into a planet nearly an entire parsec away.

"Show me more!" It yelled, flying after her.

"Subjugation!" Jack yelled, a hand outstretched towards Ruin.

A massive ethereal palm grasped at the entity, stopping it in in tracks despite the fact it was nearly moving at one light year per second.

That's the scale of things in the god realm...

Slice.

Agustus kicked off of the stray planet, bringing her sword straight through the squirming existence.

Slice.

Tyr flew by, swinging his celestial sword forward. It cut through Ruination, burning it's body with all of the positive essences Tyr had dished out.

BOOM!

Akatosh threw a bomb of apocalyptic essence.

"Eternal nightmare." Midas cast, putting Ruination into a deep sleep.

Tyr teleported, cutting through it's body. Agustus followed suit, slicing at it once more. Julius threw dozens of ethereal swords, each stabbing into it's body.

Jack held it in place, using his mental power to squeeze as tightly as he could.

His aim was to squeeze it to death...

Of course, their opponent was far more durable than they could imagine.

"GRAHAHAH!" It exploded in a laughter, awakening from the short-lived slumber.

It flared up in essences, burning straight through Jack's palm made of mental power.

"FIGHTING-" A fist streaked past, colliding with it's jaw.

"IS-" A sword cleaved through it's neck, separating it's head.

"SO-" Reattaching it's head with it's arms, it quickly received a foot to the stomach.

"MUCH-" Rather abruptly, it fell unconscious, leaning over in a slump.

"FUN!" But just like before, that sleep was short lived.

It exploded in essence once more, energy bursting outwards. Time seemed to slow for Ruination, it's red aura expanding for light years.

All of those present were engulfed with a flame, attempting to shield themselves from the damage.

But, Ruination seemed to have grown quite a bit...

Lokreum was experiencing time under a heightened dilation. His eyes bolting around, his muscles being almost supercharged with activity.

"She's taking so long." He said angrily, jumping forward. He was moving far faster than before. Even Julius, the quickest of them all, was moving at a speed that seemed slower than even a slug.

"She needs to stop me before I go too far." Despite this sentence, there wasn't a single hint of worry in his voice.

It was pure excitement.

...

"I can guarantee that, for sure." Seiya said, a nervous smile still on his face.

"We did not mean to harm you... In fact, our goal may be in your favor." He lifted his palm.

"If we shatter reality... Wouldn't you just become a hivemind? Countless lesser bodies listening to the rule of one? But all growing at different paces, with different powers? Wouldn't you get stronger far faster than normal? Larger... More versatile..." He conjured the image within his hand, the act of Revenant splitting up reality being displayed.

"We Immortals could work side by side with you... We need your authority to enter the fifteenth level anyway... And we could surely help with making you stronger than any other reality." He said ecstatically.

There was a momentary silence. Seiya slowly closed his hand, letting the image dissipate.

"..."

The trees swayed, the wind's whistling sounding louder than ever.

"I will accept your wish. And I will hold you to your words." The eye spoke. At that same time, a wave of... power, washed over Seiya, energy infiltrating every inch of his body.

He felt a strange feeling around his origin, as if something had been strapped to it.

"Failure to follow through with agreement will result in eternal damnation." Sweat dripped down Seiya's face.

"Tell your people to hold out a little longer. I need a few moments to fully awaken. Ruination requires a manual shut down."

Seiya was left in silence.

The eye shut, the darkness receding, and the presence fading away.

He could no longer feel the pressure, nor could he feel the presence of the Primordial Conscience, but, he could surely feel the restraint on his soul.

...

'What are you.' A cell budded within space, a consciousness reforming slowly.

Its body did not grow fast, but it had not lost any memories from when it was last alive.

Revenant's body slowly rebuilt itself, cell by cell, taking its sweet time.

'I have yet to encounter anything like it.' He thought.

He was reduced to a muffled vision. He could see almost nothing besides bright colors flashing here and there.

There were muffled explosions, words, and just sounds, bombarding him.

'Just hold out.'
