Chapter Thirty, Aching Soul.

...

Lokreum, Kieron, and Sage, sat within the Primordial Heart's inner space. Sage herself was reduced to a quivering child, the emotional pressure of being within the presence of the two greatest entities in all of existence...

It made her a little nervous.

"When you look at things... There are only four bodies of Julius, one for four of the Immortals. Tyr can take on one more Immortal... So who will combat the last?" Kieron stroked his chin. "I see the woman with ambitious goals, but she won't succeed in time. Even if she can move in a higher time frame, the sheer amount of time and effort needed to fulfill her plan surpasses that of which she has." He squinted, turning towards Lokreum. He stood next to him, the three watching the mirrors of reality, Sage just a few steps away from them.

"I know." Lokreum muttered. His arms were behind his back, and there was energy toiling around near his head.

Just with a quick glance, it was rather obvious that he was in deep thought.

"I have made a mistake." Lokreum said.

Sage's head instantly whipped around, staring straight at her father.

"How? You could never make any mistake father, you are perfect." She attempted to reassure him.

"No. I have surely made a mistake." He continued. "I made the mistake of getting close with my creations." He furrowed.

"Despite loving the beauty of war, I would rather not have to part ways with my children just yet." His hand found its way to his chin, massaging it.

"If it comes down to it. I will go back on my words. I will interfere." With those words, both Kieron and Sage glanced up above Lokreum.

They could see something the All-Father did not care to.

They could see the ever expanding cloud of Fate churning over his head...

"Your, Akatosh, has lost." An eerie smile appeared on the man's face.

"Akatosh? I'm not surprised." Seiya replied, gazing into the eyes of Julius.

This content has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere.

Since entering this reality, he had been analyzing things in the dark.

"So, you're saying he is weak?" Julius questioned, a look of mockery on his face.

"You don't seem to be all that much stronger." He crossed his arms.

Seiya shook his head, a smile forming on his face.

This place was far different from Asterisk. There were so many laws, that Seiya couldn't hold back... With each passing second, he was growing in strength. He passively comprehended countless new laws, many of which weren't available in the barren land of apocalypse.

'The Law of... Physicality...' He muttered in his mind. This mind breaking law wasn't available in Asterisk, as if it was hidden away... Yet, upon entering the Habitable Zone, his system was able to rather quickly pick up on it.

It was his cheat... The original system built by Kieron was still unbelievably powerful.

"I am indeed stronger than Akatosh." Seiya smiled.

"But, let's cut the chit chat." His smile grew unbelievably bright.

"Gluttony." A whisper was heard in Julius' ear, Fate screaming at him.

'THE SKIN.' He listened to fate.

"Skin of-"

He was over half engulfed by his barrier, but it did not move quick enough.

The left side of his face, and even the entirety of his left arm.

It was gone.

There was a sound of chomping, but there were no jaws. Just, one moment he was perfectly fine, and the next, he was bleeding profusely.

Julius winced, an unbearable pain streaking through his very existence.

He could feel it.

That attack was not only physical.

His soul ached, his kreus, hurt.

"Revenant is my only enemy Julius. Though I hope with the reuniting of your bodies, you become strong enough to face me." Seiya laughed.

"Your skills and essences taste rather good as well. I thank you for the meal." He licked the tip of his fingers, Julius falling limp in space.

His mind was ablaze, his remaining eye rolling around in his skull.

Slowly, he faded out of existence, his essences being recalled to his other two remaining bodies.

Though of course, this time they would be returning with far less than they should have...

In another corner of reality…

"Rather weak..." Revenant muttered. He stood in space, twos halves of Julius in each of his hands.

The human's blood dripped, floating throughout the Astral.

Essence floated out of the body, swirling around Revenant in a calm manner.

It slowly was absorbed into him, passively, not even by the act of a skill.

"Yet, you were a powerful one." Revenant squinted his eyes. His battalion was patiently waiting far behind him. They had never even made a move.

Revenant's gaze pierced through Julius' existence, examining him and the army of trillions of humans he had just slaughtered.

His brows furrowed.

"A clone are you? Well played Shiva." He spoke, turning back to his army.

"Though it is no matter, you are not the only one with this ability." Revenant tossed the severed hand he was carrying, a black smoke twirling from his finger tips.

"[Apocalyptic Devouring]." The smoke absorbed every piece of Julius' level 14 clone, and all the lesser level 13's.

This clone was worse off than Seiya's. Revenant did not leave a single piece of energy... Zero essence, would return to Julius.

"The rest of you, dig in. I am moving out, you will all go assist the Mad Immortal once you have finished." Revenant said. His army of trillions flew towards the sea of human corpses now that they were unrestrained.

"It seems I alone was overkill."
