Chapter Thirty Three, Interference.

...
Lokreum looked upwards, staring at the group of super existences in the distance.
In all his years of existence, he had yet to truly fight anything.
He could feel the rampaging destructive essences altering his mind. He had sealed away all positive essences, this body solely existing on chaos.
The essence of finality, destruction, ruination, apocalypse, chaos, death... Even those like disorder, darkness, and fire.
He had created a new creature, a prototype of a species he aimed to build in the future.
"This feeling..." He whispered, bringing his hands before him.
He had tunnel vision, and he could clearly feel a thumping in his chest.
There was a complex array of emotions, many of which he had never felt.
Lokreum was created by his predecessor, built with a template. He was not meant to feel rage, or real pain. Sure, he felt that parting with his creations so soon was not ideal, but that was simply because there was clear potential for greatness.
He was not capable of building deep connections, or having real human emotion.
Well of course he was capable, but out of respect for his creator, he would rather not.
Yet, for the first time since creation, he was feeling rage.
He questioned why he was the one made to watch over existence. Why he was supposed to outlive all other life. Why he had only known his mother for such a short time. Why he had lost her before they could even really talk.
It made him mad. And, being mad felt good.
With a wide smile on his face, Lokreum leapt through space, pouncing towards the breakers of reality as if he was an animal.
With his jaw agape, and his mind spinning, his mouth clamped down.
"Skin of Reality." He heard, his teeth ricocheting off of a metal surface.
Just with an instance of contact, he could understand the composition of the material.
It was a barrier, an amalgamation of the most powerful laws, tied together by invincibility and boundaries.
But it didn't seem he had enough time to analyze everything that he interacted with.
Two feet came smashing down on his back, kicking him downwards in space.
"I have overclocked your origins, do well with your temporary power boost." He heard a deep and boundless voice, making him 180.
"Revenant." His smile was even brighter.
"I've always wanted to fight you." He kicked off space, flying towards the grand figure.
His opponent only stood still, with his arms crossed.
Lokreum's fist grasped at space behind him, disconnecting the ambient law essence from reality. With all of his strength, he launched the intermingling energies, a ball of destruction flying forward.
"It is only level 14, but the authority it has... It is growing stronger by the second." He heard Revenant announce through his distorted hearing.
The ball of chaos collided with the figure, exploding out into an array of colors that knocked everyone away.
Everyone besides for Lokreum.
He continued his path, flying through the explosion and pouncing on Revenant.
He was greeted by an outstretched arm, Revenant's hand latching onto his throat.
"Everyone, attack." He could almost feel his words, pressure building up within reality.
It was as if he was in an ocean, rapidly descending into the darkness.

He could hear the murmurs of everyone present, skills being cast one after another.
He battled with Revenant's grip, clawing out the firm arm holding him tightly.
Eerily, he felt rather hopeless.
The figure before him was a stone cold demon, a creature of unbridled power, perhaps one of the strongest within all of existence.
His foundation was so powerful, that even if he was a level zero creature, he would be able to combat the strongest of level thirteens.
"Indomitable Human Spirit." He felt the aura of everyone present, explode. The belief and willpower of countless existences boosting their firepower.
"Domain of Destruction." A woman cast.
"Apocalypse."
"Reality Nova."
"Extinction."
"Celestial Wrath."
"Turmoil."
There were countless murmurs, space nearly folding beneath the aura.
Lokreum kicked around.
This wasn't something that felt right.
He, of all people, powerless?
"Adam. Unhand me."
The gaze of the entity before him, faltered.
His grip loosened for a fraction of a second, Lokreum taking this a chance to pull himself away.
"That wasn't a good idea." The voice seeped into his ears, the grip tightening even further.
"Immortal's Blight."
The innumerable attacks rained down on him at the same time, striking his back.
His body was ripped apart, pain filling his mind.
But that wasn't the worst of it.
Straight out of Revenant's eyes came two pitch black beams.
They burnt straight through his head, a dark, plague like virus spreading through the remaining parts of his body.
It was one second of destruction, but the outcome was frightening.
The space cleared, leaving a floating Revenant, blood seeping out of all of his orifices. In his hand was a neck, nothing else but a pair of shoulders attached to it.
It was still emanating a red aura, but it seemed to be fading.
"This was the creature you banked your survival on?" Akatosh spoke.
The immediate area was silent. Revenant only stood there, staring forward in space.
"This is not-"
It was instantaneous.
No one could see it, but they could see it's aftermath.
Faster than any of them could comprehend, an arm grew from the remnant shoulders. It's hand speared outwards, stabbing into Revenants chest.
It went straight through.
The creatures body was rebuilt in an instant, stringing together with a slimy consistence.
It flared with a red light, it's regenerated off hand, swiping down on Revenant's.
There was a clear moment of complete bewilderment.
With it free, it opened it's maw, biting down on the man before it.
Revenant's arm was gone like that.
The Immortal winced, trying to use his other arm to push the entity off him.
But it did not budge.
In a burst of gaseous energy, the two teleported, appearing just a ways away.
Revenant was trying his hardest to separate from the entity.
But he could not.
"Immortal's Blight." He cast once more.
Blood seeped out of his ears and nose, as the dark beams of essence burned through the creatures chest.
But it did not back down.
There was another chomp, half of Revenants body disappearing into it's stomach.
"How unexpected." Revenant said, letting his body go limp.
"Hold it off while I am gone."
With those words, there was yet another bite, Revenant disappearing from reality completely.
There were six figures, standing hundreds of meters away.
Their jaws were all agape, sweat profusely exiting their pores.
They watched as their enemy completely devoured their strongest force. It turned, it's eye glancing over it's shoulder.
Barely, they could see a devilish grin.
"Revenant isn't capable of death. We need to buy time for him to come back. He will be reborn even stronger." Midas took the lead.
"And how long will that be?" Tyr questioned.
"I..." Midas gulped, watching as Ruination turned around fully.
"I don't know."

...
Seiya's eyes rapidly darted around, his body following. He could feel it.
There was something around him.
There was a presence, filling reality.
He was far from the main battle, yet well aware of what was happening. He strode through the woods of this barren world, stepping over logs and fallen trees.
He was just dealing with more important things.
He had been analyzing and devouring every law he possibly could. He was eating away at essences, hoping he could come to comprehend the countless rules in this vast expanse.
He had consumed so much energy, that he was nearing the fifteenth level.
And, that was when he felt it.
There was a presence, slowly encompassing the entirety of reality. He could feel something within every particle of existence.
There were hidden energies hiding within each atom, a creature of sorts, proliferating itself.
It had consumed half of reality.
It had consumed half of him.
Having taken a vast amount of energy from reality, some of this entity had gotten into his origin.
It felt, powerful, at a realm beyond which he could reach right now.
"W-What are you?" He questioned, his eyes still darting around.
He was trying to analyze as deep as he could, attempting to make a connection with the presence.
It was at that moment that space in front of him churned.
An eye appeared within the darkness of the woods, glaring down upon him.
He froze, locking gazes.
"You have summoned me." A voice filled his mind.
No words could escape his lips, his attempts to reply failing.
This feeling, it reminded him of when he was imprisoned.
The aura that had been emitting off of the All-Father, and Kieron together...
He was feeling the fear of the unknown.
"I am this domain. The primordial conscience that lives in tandem with the body of reality." It spoke.
"I commend you for being able to feel my presence. Yet you have interrupted my awakening." It continued.
"So you're aware of what's happening out there?" Seiya pointed to the stars.
"You mean your void brethren and the leaders of the habitable zone?" It questioned.
"Yes. They're attempting to combat my naturally inborn defense mechanism." The eye blinked, Seiya gulping.
The Immortal stood still, a small smirk forming on his face.
"Could you shut it down?"
...
"I work within the rules of equivalent exchange. Could you guarantee that I am not destroyed in the end?"
