Chapter Seventy Six, Cosmic Webs and Existential Strings.

...

----------------------------------------

...

In the beginning, there wasn't anything that could be described.

Everything could not be quantified, and nothing did not exist.

Existence was not existing, as there was nothing within existence, and there was nothing that allowed for anything to exist.

And then came the laws.

The Age of Creation started with the Cosmic Web of Law, and the Strings of Existence.

Following these came countless corporeal concepts that seeped into these strings. They thickened each tether, granting more stability, and making more grow anew. As time passed, these strings had formed countless intricate connections, and the strings merged together.

The Strings of Existence had become a wavy film, an ever expanding flat surface that housed everything there was to be. Yet if you looked from a different angle, you would see that this was not a wavy film, but a moving entity?

Yet... if you looked from another angle, you would find that you could not observe existence at all? It's visage seemed to be beyond your scope of perception?

Existence is powerful, and it's true size and power cannot be observed by any existence, no matter their strength...

The creature with the greatest possibility of contending with this rule would be the oldest living entity.

The Super Ancient God, Kieron.

He was born at the end of the Age of Creation. During the Cosmic Shift.

During the Age of Creation, all things were spawning under manual governance. By the randomized and unstructured power of Creation's Will, all inanimate and mindless objects were popping up out of nothingness. The entity creating all these items did not abide by existential law, so of course, things betrayed the way they supposed to go.

But, after a point of time, this divine manual creation slowed, and the laws of existence began to take over the rules of creation.

This was the Cosmic Shift. Power alternated from Creation's will itself, to the real automation of it's bodily functions.

True life started to come about, micro-organisms evolving from the accumulation of energy within inanimate objects.

Some domains had so much energy within them that they spawned intelligence existences out of thin air. Some places abided by the lesser laws, and life was forced to slowly evolve under the hundreds of millions of years required by normal biological processes.

Yet, near the start of this time...

Two realities grazed past each other within the sea of existence. The rules of existence were attempting to rearrange existence to allow for the creation of countless more realities, and in the process there was a little mishap.

The collision of two realities spawned a SUPER ENTITY.

A conscience birthed through the supercharged energy of two nigh-infinite spatial structures. This conscience became the soul of this newly formed reality, the controller and ruler of this domain that was nearly ten thousand times larger than the average new born reality.

Kieron was a real god.

At this point in time, he was near the tip of the iceberg, and there was only one thing in existence that held more power than he. Things stayed this way for more than... Four decillion years now that he was looking back.

For four decillion years, Kieron, the cosmic entity beyond any other, stood at the peak of power.

He did not have a problem with this, and he had no fear of being overtaken by any existence for the rest of time.

But, with the emergence of a bloodline that existed beyond the rules in which he functions, he only felt it was necessary to prove his power.

To reemerge at the peak, using the power of the original power system.

Assimilating a power that existed far before kreus, far before Creation himself deemed it smart to merge the three characteristics of life.

Kieron's body leant against Creation's throne, but his mind and soul wandered elsewhere.

His mind hovered afloat within the deep space of existence, and his soul seeped into existence itself.

It pried at the thickened Strings of Existence. The thin lines he had seen eons ago had melded into connecting walls...

His soul dug beneath these walls, clawing through them. Rather slowly, his conscience spilled into the outside.

He arrived in nothingness.

He had only perceived nonexistence once before on his own, without the help of the creator.

That was at his birth.

His creation had tore a small hole in existence, but of course it was repaired before there were any lasting damages.

Yet now, he was gazing upon existence with his own power...

Looking at it, Kieron couldn't help but marvel.

His ethereal jaw was agape, but his hand had closed it not long after.

He let his mind carry him backwards, taking in existence for all his glory.

At a point, he stopped.

He could perhaps see a shape.

Not the true existence, but he was powerful enough to gaze past it's two dimensional form.

He was staring at something in three dimensions.

And it stared back.

Kieron gulped.

He attributed it to the current mental state of his creator, but existence had taken on a familiar shape. It's deep starry visage had four limbs, two arms and two legs. It had one head that rested atop a pair of shoulders, and it's body was slim, shaped in the form of a man.

Looking upwards, the two eyes that stared back at him were hazy. There was not a thought behind them.

The Automaton of Existence, Kieron presumed.

With a heavy sigh, he lowered his gaze.

He looked at the body of existence. His eyes darted around everywhere, his soul straining as he did so.

There were countless dots of light... the infinite and boundless realities he had just come from. But that was not what he was attempting to perceive.

The eyes of his soul strained once more, squinting ever so slightly. At that moment, the Strings of Existence made themselves visible to him. He could see a intricate and endless array of lines crossing everywhere. Countless pulsating veins that kept existence stable and in tact.

But that was also not what he was looking for.

At his birth, Kieron was near the tip of the iceberg, but he was not the top.

There could be said that if he was at the surface of the water, climbing ashore, with just a small portion of iceberg itself even breaking through...

Then what was the iceberg?

With all of his authority, Kieron strained.

It was for but a moment, but that was all his needed.

An array of golden lines pulsated throughout existence, and Kieron grasped forward.

With all his willpower and all of his might, Kieron subdued a creature beyond any other.

Before time could make even one movement, Kieron was greeted by the half conscience of an entity that was not truly living.

He pulled it in for a talk, and conversed with it as well as he could. This entity did not have a true mind, but it had such detail in its creation that you would think it did.

But it was nothing more than a false life, and knowing that was all he needed to do.

This entity asked him countless questions in their brief interaction, and Kieron answered every single one to perfection.

He had remembered a conversation he once had with his creator...

"Can Fate truly be controlled?" He had asked.

He listened intently to the response he received, and noted down every single word that was said.

"Fate is something powerful, it spans across all of existence, and has authority beyond mere laws. Truly, its real form cannot even be perceived by an existence unless they reach a certain threshold of power. But, if one ever wanted to become the real undeniable controller of Fate... All that's required is the completion of a survey..."

Looking forward into the blaring light before him, Kieron smiled. He almost wanted to laugh at how true the words of his creator were...

But at that moment, the entity before him spoke once more...

"Fair enough."

As those words entered his ears, he was ejected from the domain he was in, a burning essence striking him in his soul.

He clenched his teeth, and in a flash...

Kieron had consumed the energy of a construct that extended across the entirety of the infinitely expanding existence.

Like his first birth, Kieron had made history repeat.

By the collision of two super constructs, a conscience was born. This soul took over the merged container spawned by these two constructs, and it became a creature that housed the power of both existences.

A new conscience was born, and this conscience awakened in an instant.

It's eyes opened.

It was staring at a throne, with God resting atop it.

But at the same time?

It was staring at all of existence.
