Chapter Seventy Eight, Changing Times.

----------------------------------------

Within a dimly lit underground cavern stood a multitude of people.

Seiya, Citemer, Jack, and Alexandria were hugged against the cave wall. Kieron and Lokreum strolled in from the entry tunnel.

Revenant and Julius were in the center of this room.

Not standing calmly like the others present, but battling.

Revenant grapples Julius, launching him over his shoulder.

Masterfully, the human flipped mid air, landing in a low crouch with his hands on the ground.

He had slid due to the sheer strength and velocity of the throw, but he was able to easily stabilize himself.

He looked up with a smile, flicking his hand forward.

A sword of golden light appeared directly inside of Revenant’s chest, stabbing through him and sending black blood gushing out of his mouth.

“So tedious.” Revenant complained, flaring the energies within his body and dismantling the foreign energies within him.

In an instant, all signs of damage were gone, and Revenant was standing unharmed.

The sword of light ceased to exist any longer, and the behemoth of a deity raised his hand towards Julius.

The difference in spiritual power between the two existences was vast.

Revenant was in the eighteenth level with less than four hundred realities conquered. Julius was in the twentieth with over one thousand subdued...

By technicality, Julius should be three times stronger than Revenant, and that's if the growth was linear and not exponential.

But that didn't seem to be much of a problem to Revenant.

Perhaps it was thanks to his innate ability that predated the authority of the Kreuvian System...

He was quite literally incapable of receiving nearly all damage and deaths at this point.

Maybe not a complete immunity, but an incredibly strong resistance.

Julius simply did not have the mental strength to cause fatal damage to Revenant, and that in itself was a shocker.

Despite being two entire realms below Julius, the battle was being fought to a stalemate.

A beam of dark essence shot towards Julius. He lifted a forearm, summoning a shield of light and bracing for the impact.

At the same time, he could sense the space next to him shifting. Revenant appeared beside him, his fist flying towards his face.

His head jumped backwards, dodging the punch that shook even reality for a moment.

Tanking the beam, he swung his shield around. He absorbed all the energy from the attack, and slammed his weapon into Revenant.

The dark god stood unaffected.

He grabbed the shield in his hands, flexing his muscles and snapping it beneath the pressure of his grip.

The author's narrative has been misappropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon.

It was clear that Revenant was a singularity within existence.

Perhaps he wasn't confined by realm like most were...

"This has surely been fun."

Revenant spoke, standing up straight and stepping backwards.

"But no matter what, neither of us will win. You are simply, millions of years too inexperienced to hold your own in a fight with me. While I am too underpowered to cause any actual damage to you." The tribal character placed his hands behind his back, and turned away from the human.

The man panted, his head throbbing while a blazing white liquid dripped from his nose.

Conjuring weapons capable of piercing skin forged by death countless times?... It was taxing on his mind...

It surprised even he.

Revenant was reinforced by his innate ability that existed before Kreus was a concept. He himself wasn't aware, but Lokreum understood it very well.

All prehistoric innate abilities were powered by Lokreum himself... There was no denying them.

Lokreum was the old center piece of power, until he let the people rely on themselves and their own energies fully.

The same way that Julius had control over biological lifeforms and perfect dominion over all existences with human blood... Revenant would forever be reinforced by death, and come out stronger than ever before.

All those present could no longer even imagine it.

If Revenant were to die just one more time?... How strong would he get?

When he died during the War for the Apocryphal Domain, he came back to life and subjugated Ruination in one move... The creature that nearly one shot him while he was in the fourteenth level, despite him having power equivalent to a level fifteen.

And his power growth was exponential with his deaths...

If he died now would he perhaps find himself in the twentieth level? Or maybe even beyond?

That was a question for another day.

Lokreum examined as Revenant walked over to the spectators, and Julius sluggishly followed.

Times had changed.

He was not able to watch most of the fight with his own eyes, but it was clear to him that these entities had grown far more powerful than they once were.

Going back to the days in which they all struggled to defend one small reality from an Ignotovian prototype...

Ruination had nearly destroyed a force that was considered to be the most powerful in existence at the time!

To think that if one followed the Cosmic Calendar...

That was almost four million years ago....

There was a hand on Lokreum's chin, and he glanced to his side.

Kieron was there, his hands behind his back as he silently watched the lesser gods interact.

None present knew that Kieron had retaken his spot as most powerful in existence, and he was fine with that. They would find out soon.

Lokreum let out a small smile. Kieron was seeming far more quiet since his ascension to power.

Knowing as much as he now did made things a lot more calming.

He did not feel the need to speak, or question things as much.

Despite not knowing everything... He still knew a lot.

He could feel the exact emotions of all those around him, and he could even feel their thoughts.

And this seemed to be passive now...

Lokreum turned, facing the interacting gods.

His other body had just left Diana behind.

Lokreum was preparing to step towards those before him, when he hesitated.

He heard Kieron clear his throat.

Lokreum turned around.

"I guess you will be able to feel these sort of things from now on..." Lokreum smiled, a bead of sweat forming on the side of Kieron's head.

"I did not expect there to be the birth of a monstrosity this early on!"

...

In the deep depths of the Cosmic Sea, a reality pulsated.

It was a huge gaseous structure, throbbing, beating like a heart.

God's gaze pierced through the clouds, zooming in on the innards of this realm.

Deep within was a singular character.

It was shriveled up, holding itself like a sleeping baby. It's wings were hugging its body, the walls of reality squeezing against it's form. The scales and hard hide that lined it's skin scratched against the boundaries that entrapped it within this realm. It's tentacles fluttered with each breath, it's chest heaving up and down.

The entity was sleeping, but it was emanating an aura that seeped even through it's home reality's walls. A black aura was pouring into the Cosmic Sea, infecting nearby realities.

In that same moment, the creature twitched.

It's wings jerked, and slowly, two beaming red eyes opening to the world.

"Is this life?" A voice spoke, causing reality to tremble.

Looking at the entity, it was not even level one.

It was a measly level zero...

But a level zero that was the size of an entire reality?

The first natural-born Ignotovian had awoken, and a creature of no limits would soon adventure out into Existence.

The Immortals and the Gods of Pandora would soon be in for a surprise...

That would be guaranteed...

Would Julius be able to use his new power to combat an existence on the same theoretical level as he?

What about Revenant?

What about all the others?

In the right hands, an Ignotovian of Limits was not so different than an Ignotovian of Existence...
