Lokreum watched as Julius shuffled to his feet. The human stood tall, examining his surroundings thoroughly. He smiled, listening as the song of reality started to fade from existence.

The Hymn of an Aeonic...

He had honestly forgotten about it, considering he thought it up so far in the past.

The song of reality, played when a native became a true Aeonic God. The song played for those that stepped into the nineteenth level!

The realm of the Aeonic God!

Of course, Julius had gone past that and become an Aeonic Overgod, but he was still congratulated for his achievements.

The human glanced backwards, looking at the sat woman behind him, a small content smile forming on his face.

"How do you feel?" A voice sounded, making him look back towards Lokreum.

"Invincible." He said, nearly instantly.

Lokreum smiled, the human smirking in return.

"That's just a hint of what it feels like to hold my power..."

Wukong navigated the streets, slowly and calmly weaving through the crowds of human people.

It had been seven short years, and Vera had gone farther than he could have imagined.

He continued to step around the people, approaching a massive row of steps. They led up to a cathedral of sorts, Wukong slipping past everybody and entering the building.

Of course he was hiding his presence so they couldn't see him anyway.

Vera had become the first real lord in humanity's history. She governed dozens of settlements and brought their people together. She migrated some of them and brought them physically together, abandoning some settlements behind to create larger communities that she called cities.

With the strength of thousands of men, they were able to assist her in building sanctuaries for humankind. Of course, with her unbridled and completely unmatched strength, she led all of the efforts.

From Wukong's observation, Vera had united roughly 5 percent of her people.

A little over one hundred thousand people.

Stopping, Wukong didn't pay much attention to the ongoing conversation, only patiently waiting for it to end.

Rather quickly a voice resounded, the voice of a teenage boy almost.

"It's alright, you may all leave. I will think over the matter." The boy spoke, raising his hand towards the clergy of men before him.

The group of men nodded, bowing towards the young man.

"May God be with you, King Vern." The leader of this group spoke, turning around and exiting with his men.

Wukong stood silently off to the side, unnoticeable to the humans. He watched as they opened the doors and left, the huge chunks of wood slowly closing behind them.

"Greetings O' great King Vern..." Wukong chuckled, unveiling himself and turning towards the human sat atop the throne.

Of course, this human was Vera.

"The fact you have to play the role of a man due to... the disadvantages of being a woman, is rather amusing." He laughed.

The woman atop the throne frowned, happiness hidden behind her expression.

"Knowing I would have been dubbed a witch instead of a prophet if I kept my identity as a woman isn't the most fun thought." Vera replied, stepping to her feet.

With a smile on their faces, the two walked towards each other. Their hands grasped one another, shaking as they pulled themselves in for a hug.

It had been a few years since Wukong had interacted with Vera. She was too busy ruling a massive group of humans after all...

He backed away, looking at the woman before him.

She had changed a bit since their very first encounter. Her hair was cut short, being scruffy and white, styled like that of a young boy. That alone made her look far more masculine. She kept enough hair that allowed her to be able to use it as a covering of sorts, shielding away her quite effeminate eyes from the people.

Looking at her in this state, you would think she was a young man. Especially considering her jaw was rather sharp.

"So I take it you have missed me Wu?" She smiled, teasing the beast man that looked the exact same as he did all those years ago.

"I have." He responded, patting her on the back. "And since you are gone, I have none to talk to... Plus I needed to consult with you on an idea I have." He explained, walking past her.

Climbing up the steps that Vera had made her way down to greet him, Wu stopped at the top.

"And I like your helm, for your information." He glanced back, watching as Vera touched the jeweled ornament atop her hair.

"It is called a crown. I found it in a remote village, there is quite the history to it... It's said that this crown is supposedly older than even humanity, and it was forged by an unknown existence dozens of thousands of years ago... Only the most worthy of creatures can even place the crown on their head, and I was a testament to that truth." She explained, following Wukong upwards.

"I tested it on a few mortals and I was surely surprised when I saw their mind get fried instantaneously... It seems this crown... there is something supernatural about it. A culmination of energies within it that makes it far from the normal item." She smiled, pulling it off of her head.

"Feel free to try it on! If I can wear it, so can you." She extended her arm, pausing just a few steps below Wukong.

"Then I will." He politely grabbed it, turning and continuing his trek forward.

He approached Vera's throne, turning around. Slowly, he lowered himself, and as he did so, he placed the crown on his head.

Instantly he could feel a wave of energy flush through his body, memories coming to his mind.

He could see the image of a woman relentlessly battering a stone, molding it to her will.

He saw the image of the same woman venturing the world, the crown resting nicely on top of her head, although upside down?

And rather briefly, he could see the image of the woman floating in the sky. From far above, she dropped two things down to the earth.

A gleaming sword, longer than even he... And the very same crown, filled with jewels, and shining against the heat of the sun.

"Farewell... I hope you can be rescued by someone of worth." Her voice infiltrated his ears, snapping him back to reality.

"Wu?" Vera questioned, worry on her face.

The monkey leant back into the throne, confusion and interest on his face.

"I came here to tell you that I am planning to become the king of beastkin..." He said.

"But it also seems I have to discuss the secrets of this crown with you..." With those words, he saw a twitch on Vera's face.

A smile slowly formed, her hand reaching up to her face as she pulled her hair out of her face.

"So you saw it too?"
