Chapter Forty Five, The Human.

...
Lokreum meditated on the mountain top, utilizing his Ignotovian Trait to push past the limits on kreus consumption.
Due to the sheer power of his Ignotovian Trait, he was able to bypass the shackles reality tried to place on him, and easily absorb copious amounts of kreus from his surroundings.
Completely oblivious to the world around him, Lokreum had created a raging storm, rendering his immediate area completely uninhabitable.
Though, he did not care, for this harsh environment would eventually evolve powerful creatures.
He meditated for many years, letting time pass by until he deemed the world had grown enough for him to be entertained.
Strangely enough, it was not the Vitarians that had grown enough to be watched, it was the humans!
They had grown beyond the Vitarians, who were still a small tribe lazing about playing with sticks.
The Vitarians were intrinsically powerful and smart creatures, so they had little to no competition.
Therefore they could relax in their forests, doing nothing but eating and climbing trees.
To them, life was a pointless thing. It was boring, and meaningless.
Not many of them even wanted to live, they only stayed around for the food and the pleasuring activities they could undergo with the opposite gender.
Yet, the humans? They were situated in more densely populated areas, and they were for sure not the top of the food chain.
They had to constantly grow, communicate, work together, and through all of this, they learned the beauty of companionship.
They shared exhilarating moments of battle with one another. Even adventuring about to gather materials.
They were quite barbaric, and they loved the hunt!
Though because of this, they were rather heart broken when their kin were lost to the one called death…

…
”Help!” A rough voice sounded, a short man with a square face shouting throughout the woods.
He waved his hands around in the air, trying to keep the flying creature away from him.
It was a gigantic bird, a Coatl as his people called it.
Unfortunately, while he was on his daily hunt for small creatures, he stumbled upon the Coatl’s territory.
It was a well known fact that these creatures were near the peak of the food chain in this area.
“Help! Need!” He yelled once again, trying to keep his distance from this natural enemy.
He was a grounded creature, yet his opponent was not.
The human could recognize he was not going to win this fight, but he could not be lost to the hunt.
He did not wish for his family to waste tears over his corpse.
He was a strong man!
The bird dove at him, forcing him to fall back, barely dodging the creatures beak.
He was left with a gash on his left arm, blood pouring out of the wound instantly.
Just the littlest contact with the bird left a wound that could potentially be fatal!
Truly, the human was frightened, frightened out of his mind.
But, he believed in his strength. He believed in his ability, he believed in his people.
He had faith he would live, for he needed to stay alive for his family.
He had faith his people would find him, and they would save him from this dire situation.

He had faith, that something, anything, would happen, and he would come out of this situation.
He did not care if he lost his arm, and his ability to hunt.
He only cared for his sons, and he would make sure to cherish every moment he had with them.
But, he had to survive first.
He let his emotions take over, his fear fueling him.
”RAHHH!” He screamed in frustration, making the bird hesitate for a moment.
His yell caught the creature by surprise, making it tilt it’s head.
The avian was taken aback, not knowing whether it should pity the bipedal creature, or laugh at it.
“Cawh!” The bird screeched, diving forward towards the human.
Though, this time, the human noticed something.
It was exactly the same!
Down to the tee.
The way the bird dived was identical to its first attack.
Unfortunately despite noticing this there wasn’t much he could do.
He dove forward, landing in the ground face first as the bird flew over him.
“Argh!” He groaned, quickly pushing himself to his feet, wiping the dirt off his face.
He winced in pain from using his left arm.
There was... an energy, overflowing within him.
It almost made him completely forget about the wound.
Watching as the bird repositioned itself, the human lifted his hands, lowering his center of gravity.
He would grapple the bird. He knew it was strong, but would it easily be able to carry his weight?
The bird shook its head, diving towards the human once more.
It seemed to be frustrated by its opponents agility.
The bird closed in on the human, the man lowering itself even more.
The bird flew just inches above him, his right arm reaching out and grabbing its foot.
Though that did not stop its momentum, after all, the bird was still bigger than him.
With a hand on the its leg, he was lifted off the ground.
His body flew with the bird as he swung himself towards it.
His legs locked around it’s lower body, forcefully using all of his momentum to twist the creature.
All of his strength was used to twist the bird, and he succeeded.
The avian flipped over, nosediving straight into the ground.
“Crah!” It screeched, its neck bending incorrectly on impact.
Yet, thanks to its flexibility, it was not a fatal injury…
The human still had his legs locked around the bird, hindering its movements while he pulled on its slim leg as hard as he possibly could.
He put his all into it, believing with his everything, that the leg would come clean off.
And, surprisingly.
Pop!
The birds leg bone popped out of place.
A high pitched screech resounded throughout the entirety of the forest.
It’s wing beat against the ground, not being able to do anything against the humans pulling force.
Yet, even after hearing the pop, the human did not stop pulling.
Rip!~
The birds little muscle gave way, its skin separating as the leg was pulled completely off.
”RAGHHH!” The human yelled at the top of his lungs, his mind faltering for a moment.
He seemed to fall into a slightly deranged state.
That unfortunately made him miss the opposite leg that came kicking towards him.
The bird dug its talon into his other arm, ripping through his muscles, and taking the entirety of his forearm and below with it.
The human winced, his eyes widening completely as he felt the severe jolt of pain where his arm used to be.
His eyes fell, looking at what used to be his arm.
”NNGH!” He groaned in pain and anger.
In a rage, he mindlessly used his left arm, swinging a fist into the birds side.
Kushuck!
His fist dug straight through the birds skin, finding itself lodged in it’s stomach.
The human roared, pulling his fist out and repeatedly battering the bird, obliterating it’s insides.
The human beat relentlessly, his fist raining hell on his opponent for nearly 2 minutes straight.
And, when he came to, it was a sight to behold.
The Coatl’s stomach was turned into meat paste, his arm was missing, and under the force of his punches, his left arm had begun to hang by a thread at his bicep.
In the moment, regret flowed through the humans mind. He felt accomplished, he was surely the first human to kill a Coatl.
But, was it really an accomplishment if he lost his life in the process?
He lay in the forest, beneath the corpse of a 2 meter bird, no usable arms, and on the verge of death…
Was it all for naught?
”CAWW!” A familiar screech sounded, another, smaller, but still large Coatl breaching the foliage.
The human smiled in defeat, seeing the bird that was clearly furious with him.
Was this the end?
Kishick!-
The bird fell out of the sky, its body split in half, the two pieces of its body touching the ground at different times.
”You are powerful, but do you see how much more powerful you can be with a tool?” A voice sounded, making the human focus his blurry vision.
Standing before him was another.
He did not seem to be human...
Perhaps God?
It’s back was not hunched like his, nor did it have the same shape his muscles had.
It was skinny, like a child with no food, and it’s back was straight. It had hair, but only on its head.
When looking at the figure before him, he could not help but be reminded of his long gone father.
A stern, powerful figure.
”This is only a stone sword, reinforced with the same amount of power you have in your body.” The creature said.
”You could easily do the same.” It stepped towards him, bending down and removing the huge corpse from above him.
”Come, human boy, pioneer a new era. You do not have to always rely on your own power. Tools are a powerful thing.” The creature reached out its hand.
Instinctively, the human responded, his hand too reaching out.
But, hand?
He glanced down at his right palm, finding it strange that his arm had returned to him.
He could see a scar at the line of his elbow.
”Don’t fret, scars are history written on the body. I’m sure you will never forget this moment.” The creature said, making the human redirect his gaze to face before him.
”Now, rise. Unify your kin and grow powerful. Create history, my child.”
The human found his hand interlocked with the strange creature, being forced to his feet.
He stood still for a moment, his mind wandering.
He refocused on what was ahead of him, but before he could even realize it..
The creature was gone.
All he had left to remember it was the corpse a few meters away, the repaired arms he had, and the sword resting in his left hand.
The short man looked around, his face blank.
“God?…”
