Chapter Four, Revenant.

Lokreum was basking in the joy of experimentation in a lab. A lab outside of existence, that was thousands of years more advanced than that of his original earth. A 7 foot tall undead killer was relentlessly beating a metal wall that displayed his damage output off to the side.
He had taken the killer from his home and rebuilt his timeline, effectively creating a copy of him and letting his timeline play out like it was supposed to.
Lokreum had given this undead higher intelligence, and allowed him to grow further.
Ever since he had watched the chess match between the siblings, he had decided on creating a game of sorts.
Although this game would be quite unorthodox, that was the fun of it.
He had come up with the magnificent idea of having worlds clash.
He would gather a few clusters of universal filaments and pit them against each other in a apocalyptic situation.
He had yet to decide on the prize, or even if there would be one. He only wanted to see how beings from different planes would fight.
He wanted to see the beauty of fighting! The art of war!
If a mindless killing machine were to step into a battle with a loving child who was inherently more powerful, how would the battle play out?
Would the child win because of sheer strength and abilities, or would it's mind be too weak to fight back and would it lose?
Despite being able to easily calculate the outcome, theoretical probability and reality were two different things.
After all, he found seeing things happen through experimentation much more enjoyable than just knowing the outcome.
*BOOM*
He stopped examining the growth of a new undead embryo. He had used some of his DNA to create an offspring of sorts, experimenting with how outlandish he could make the clone.
He glanced over towards the original Adam.
The wall he had beaten was... dented, quite a bit.
"Good, good." Lokreum said, getting up from his seat, letting the essence of time alter the wall, returning it to its previous state. The metal he had used to create the wall was called Vorhinium, which was even stronger than the adamantine that could be found in the sibling's multiverse.
Thanks to the time difference between realms, the sibling's multiverse had grown greatly and was already on its second cycle.
"You're growing nicely." Lokreum said with awe. Adam had only died 18 times yet his abilities had grown far beyond his expectations.
His regeneration speed had increased too, which made death even harder. Despite this, when he does die, he resurrects relatively quickly and becomes nigh-immune to death the in the same way.

This act of never ending evolution intrigued Lokreum, making him wonder how it truly even worked.
A being that only thinks of killing, having the ability to constantly grow from battles is surely an interesting combo.
Glancing over the creature before him once more, he couldn't help but think that he was a cheat code. His only weakness was his incapability to speak clearly...
"My few experiments are complete as of now... Would you like to go finish what you started in your world?"

Lokreum and Adam appeared back within the undead's home world.
Everything had a grey tint to it, as if time was paused, and life had lost its color.
Looking around they both noticed they were back in the cemetery, at a point in time where Adam had just removed the heart of Tommy's friend.
They could see the old and much weaker version of the undead peaking at them from the corner of its vision, unable to move.
"How about we give you a new name." Lokreum said
He erased the preexisting Adam, letting the improved version take his place.
"Un." Adam grunted a sign of approval.
”Revenant. A name befitting a nightmare like you.” Lokreum said, the newly named undead nodding in confirmation.
”Now you can do whatever it is you wish to do. Have fun, and make it an enjoyable scene at the very least.” Lokreum said, becoming disappearing from before Revenant.

...
Revenant sped through the roads of the Forest. He used his heightened senses to the fullest to hunt down each and every human soul he came across.
The speed cars moved at were no match for his teleportation.
"AHHHH!!!" A scream sounded throughout the woods as Revenant finished slaughtering a random couple.
With each kill, he devoured the life force of his victim, adding their kreus to his own and growing slightly stronger and more intelligent.
"Quiet." He muttered, turning towards the trees and teleporting with a gust of black smoke.
*Slice*
His hand cut through a young teen's body with unbelievable ease.
"Hah!" He laughed maniacally, taking the woman's head and biting into it as if it was an apple.
"It seems giving you more intelligence made you more unstable." Lokreum murmured over Revenant’s shoulders, still unseen to average existences but being heard.
"Well it does make sense. The trauma you've been put through is immense, basically all you know is murder." He thought, a hand on his chin.
"Fun." Revenant responded, tossing the body away and teleporting farther into the forest.
"Did you hear that?" A simple sentence caught the attention of the two, making Revenant teleport over to them nearly instantaneously.
There was a couple that had stopped on a back route towards the lake. They had packed quite a bit of gear, so even without peering into their minds Lokreum could easily infer what they were here for.
"They seem to be heading to the lake... They appear to be campers." He whispered to Revenant.
Revenant had an inborn hatred for campers, considering they were the ones that murdered his mother.
In response, Revenant stomped towards the parked car, gaining their attention.
They both swiftly turned their necks around to see what the commotion behind them was, but what greeted them was nothing.
Revenant had already teleported, appearing in front the road before them.
There was a woman in the drivers seat, and she had turned forward faster than the man in her passenger seat.
"Derrick... We better get out of here." The woman said cautiously, staring into Revenant's ominous eyes.
"What do you mean?" Derrick responded, slowly looking towards where Revenant was.
"Holy shit." He muttered, scared shitless.
"Ye-"
*Slice*
With a single motion, half the car was cut , a diagonal line appearing across Derrick's body as he fell apart just like the car.
The machete that accompanied Revenant to his grave had come in handy.
Appearing on top of the car, Revenant pried it apart before yanking the woman, Lizabeth, right from her seat, snapping the seat belt with ease.
"Hello." He said with a toothy smile, before his face was battered with punches and slaps, screams echoing off the trees simultaneously.
"AHHHH!! LET GO!!!" Lizabeth yelled, tears rolling down her face as she continued to scream.
Wanting to toy with her, Revenant deliberately dropped her after receiving her strongest hit.
*Plop*
She bounced on the ground, groaning before she quickly got to her feet.
"Derrick!" She yelled, looking through the car window and seeing the mangled body of her brother.
"Oh god..."
Not daring to look back, she made a dash for the woods with teary eyes.
*Plat*
Revenant dropped to the ground, striding after the escaping woman.
"Fun..." He muttered with a merciless tone laced into his words.
