...

That moment marked the end of the first King Games, a tradition only the noble and kings themselves would ever know about in the future.

Yet, at the same time, that moment marked the first day in real history, but not just for the Beastkin...

On seemingly another side of the world, deep below the beastkin but on the same continent, there was something of the similar magnitude taking place.

For Wukong, it was a long and excruciating ten years since the start of his games. It had taken him eight years to find Lumoof, and a sequential ten years for Lumoof to prepare the games.

It had now been a whole twenty eight years since Wukong had seen Vera, but maybe by a stroke of luck...

They both ascended on the same day.

Because of humanity slowly becoming more stabilized under the guidance of Vera, the reproduction speed had increased drastically. By the time Vera had successfully become the first ever king of all humanity?

Three million, and four hundred thousand people were under her reign...

And somehow it was the same day as Wukong.

The great and wise king, the first king of humans, Vern Wu, ascended to the throne, and was an official ruler. Acknowledged by the church he had created, and even by the people of the land.

It was known to all... King Vern was the strongest human to ever live, and the greatest to ever come!

Or that's what they assumed at the very least...

The king in question sat on his throne. He resided within the capital city of the massive Sunvera Kingdom.

Well, she did.

With a sigh, she sunk into her seat, her hand going beneath her hair and rubbing her forehead.

The throne room was empty besides for her, countless thoughts running through her mind.

This was the first day of the Sunverian calender, and her first day of true rest in the last thirty six years.

She was nineteen years old when she encountered Wu, and now she was fifty five... In truth, most humans didn't survive past fifty, due to how uncleanly the world was.

But she was working to change that.

With each passing year she was implementing things. Spaces to use the bathroom, to wash up. Places to eat. Places to hang around with one another. Under her command, humanity was flourishing!

In truth, Vera was a leader found once in a thousand years... She was an innovator, an existence that had the talent to rule for many many years!

Thankfully, she had stepped beyond normal mortality. Her lifespan was doubled at the very least. She would surely live to see her hundredth year, and she could hope to live even longer!

Today was the first day of two civilizations. The king of one, sitting atop a historical corpse, and the king of another, sitting exhausted atop her throne.

"All this time, and not even the littlest sign of ancient humanity..." Vera sighed.

"I've looked everywhere possible?... Where have I missed?" She questioned beneath her breath.

She was looking for any sign of the possible grandeur of the civilization that existed before hers. To be able to forge such an amazing ornament, and even the magical sword seen in her vision...

Sunvera had yet to reach such greatness, being stuck with iron, and not the gleaming magical metal that she had glimpsed in the crowns dream.

But she did not worry.

Each day she was growing stronger, and she didn't even show signs of age like other humans. She did not know if it was her breathing technique, or the power of the people, but she was getting noticeably more powerful literally every day!

On the unfortunate side, it seemed the fourth level was vast, and she wouldn't be level five any time soon.

In all honesty, she wasn't even sure if she would make it there.

But, she tried not to worry about those things.

It was in that moment, that Vera's thoughts were interrupted.

"Vera..." Someone called her name.

Her real name.

With a soft smile, she opened her eyes, words calmly escaping her mouth.

"Sun Wukong... You haven't spoken to me in a while!" She replied.

"I have not... But now I am." She heard his reply, feeling his smile through their link.

After their encounter with the crown, the two had decided to further their connection, so that if in dire need, they would always be able to contact each other.

A Soul String.

Their souls were attached, capable of communication over long distances. The two had agreed to further this connection one day. Perhaps after they have ruled their kingdoms, when they were available to just each other.

In a future where it was just him and her...

"Since you're contacting me I take it..." Vera started.

"Correct..." Wukong's smile was warming, his emotions slipping through the connection.

"I have become the beast king, Vera... Monkey King Sun Wukong..." Wu said, a bright and knowing smile appearing on Vera's face.

"... And I have finally become the human king, Wu... First King Vera Wu." She replied.

The two shared the moment together, knowing that very soon they would see each other again.

They could only wait.

Lokreum hovered above the world, Julius standing behind him.

"What a beautiful story..." The human god whispered.

"Maybe I should appear before her..." He continued, Lokreum turning his head over his shoulder.

"If you find it fitting, then go for it." Lokreum said.

The two had watched the scene, observing the rise of two cardinal kings.

"I wonder how things will progress after this... She reminds me of Venator." He muttered, a deep and profound gaze staring down on the land.

"Vera Wu, and Sun Wukong... I hope you two live happily after you have fulfilled your responsibilities..."
