Chapter Eighty Nine, Mister E!

A man stepped down the stair well, breaking line of sight and lifting his head up. Like usual, he was unequipped with a shirt, only wearing his shredded cape around his waist.
"I've made advancements."
Only a few hours had passed, the sun was rising, starting to breach the horizons.
He tilted his head towards Diana, hearing her words.
"In what way." He continued to walk forward, stopping beside the crouched woman.
She had one knee on the ground, and the other bent. Her hand was lifted, and she was staring at it rather marveled.
He alternated his gaze from her hand, and the thumping beast before her. Deep within the massive wound the two had created, there was a large absence of mass.
From what he had observed previously, the demon seemed to regenerate constantly, as long as provided with sustenance.
Yet obviously, the demon was not regenerating this time. Ignoring the clamps keeping the wound open, and negating the demon's skin from reconnecting, there was literally just a huge space within the beast.
The demon's biomass seemed to wriggle around within, but when it reached a certain point, it was as if there was a barrier it could not cross.
Or perhaps that was an area out of their range?
"This demon has eleven hearts." Diana spoke.
He glanced down at her hand, his eyes falling upon the Demonic Armament.
It had taken a new shape, fully encompassing her hand.
It was a fleshy glove, with red biomass spiking out from it in many different locations.
"It has eleven major nodes that act as... brains. Each brain governs a portion of the body, and this portion listens to the commands of the node." She said, turning her hand over.
"I took out one of these nodes, and subjugated it's weak mental presence with my life energy... If I repeat this process another ten times... I will have created a real sentient weapon."
"A true magic weapon." She smiled.
Looking at the flesh glove on her hand, Arthur could feel its power.
It did not match the strength of her magic swords just yet, and it did not even come close to Excalibur... But perhaps, after transforming all eleven nodes, he could see it standing on the same level as his sword.
The narrative has been taken without permission. Report any sightings.
Perhaps even surpassing it.
Seeing this, forced him into thought.
'It seems I will need to get a demon of pure durability, and perhaps slashing and piercing force to emerge... Excalibur could be upgraded into a true and ineffable holy sword.' A smile emerged on his face, a hand on his chin.
He could see a great future ahead with the help of these demons.
But then, his nose twitched.
His eyes started to water.
His muscles tensed.
There was a tingling in the back of his head.
Diana didn't seem to notice anything, so perhaps it was thanks to his years of military experience.
But he could feel it.
"I personally think there is a great future ahead as well." Both Arthur and Diana whipped their heads around, watching as someone descended the stairwell.
His head breached the doorway, and his face came into vision.
He didn't seem very old, perhaps around Diana's age. He had scruffy black hair, and he wore medieval clothing, clothing similar to Diana's style. He had two different colored eyes. One of them purple, and the other red.
That in itself was unusual...
But it was his presence that was overwhelming.
There was no aura, there was no life emanating off of him, but he could feel the wisdom.
He could feel the knowledge. The experience. The... mind?...
"M-Mister E!" Diana exclaimed, standing up in quick motion.
"Our month has passed." He said with a smile on his face. He stepped forward, his hands in his front pockets.
"It is safe to say you have done amazing Diana. You, and your brother, at that! I am very pleased." With his words, Diana stepped forward to greet him.
"I swear this month has felt like forever..." She chuckled. The man stepped up to her, placing his hand on her shoulder as he walked by.
"Indeed it has... I have been watching. You have genuinely done very well! Magic Weapons, Demonic Armaments, Firearms... potions, herbal solutions, mechanical inventions... It is all rather amazing." He said.
The man, Mister E, approached the wriggling demon, and crouched before it.
At that same moment, the demon started to wriggle a whole lot more.
This definitely didn't go unnoticed.
"An offspring of Behemot turned into a tool with such potential... Truly intriguing." His hand was placed on the creature, and in response, it started to scream.
It shook and emitted high pitched frequencies.
Arthur held his gaze, shock, confusion, and wary displayed upon it.
"Is this the man?" He questioned, his sister glancing back.
"Yes it is." Diana replied.
"Mister E! Meet Arthur, my brother and my companion." She motioned towards the shirtless man, and the new entrant followed with his eyes.
"Nice to meet you Arthur. You can call me E. You have quite the strength and experience to you, it seems the power runs in the family." E smiled.
He stood back up, and walked over towards Diana.
He examined the Demonic Armament on her hand, and the two talked unintelligible words about it for a few moments.
Arthur didn't really care for their conversation. Nothing important was being said.
What he did care for, was the fact that this man was apparently a real alchemist. Not some new, fresh blood alchemist like Diana, but a full fledged alchemical entity like mentioned in some of the most hidden fables.
And from what Diana had told him, true alchemists were not just alchemists.
They were Alchemical Sorcerers!
Judging by the fact that he couldn't comprehend the power of the man before him...
This Alchemical Sorcerer may be level five, or even level six!
Who knows... He could even be level seven...
"Well, I have some time on my hands, and like I said I am thoroughly pleased with the work you both have done..." Mister E spoke.
"I wouldn't mind lending my hand in your advancements, and spending a little more time present." Arthur could see the honest and calm smile on his face.
How carefree and... nice, he seemed to be...
It was almost eerie!
