Chapter Forty, Son and Father.

…
”Go.” A voice spoke into Julius’ ear, making him pause.
Fate tickled his brain, touching his shoulder, and even grazed his hand.
He was currently standing within a slightly technologically advanced room. Countless runic scripts swirling around him.
He was studying.
Writing thousands of runic ecritures, aiming to solidify them, and condense them into a true nomological ecriture.
He was aiming for something great. Something he would call, the Deified Law of Fiction...
Julius was patiently working on his strength, slowly comprehending and assimilating every law within the Apocryphal Domain. He was formulating Deified Laws. He was making sure to elevate his power to impossible levels! He could not lag behind the Primordial Conscience for forever could he?
He desired to be a creature that stood side by side with the Will of Reality…”
”Go where?...” Julius asked, completely pausing his formulation.
”…” The voice did not respond.
Instead, he felt something grab his hand.
He glanced downward, a light emerging from his palm.
It tugged, pulling him forward. Unreluctantly, he followed, heading fates call.

...
Julius sat on a throne deep within space, his face showing a tired expression as he impatiently waited. He sat in the exact spot fate had left him, waiting.
Fate was something powerful. It had it's grasp on the entirety of existence nearly, and it knew everything there is to know.
So, despite being the most prideful and probably the most impatient existence in any nearby reality...
Julius made sure of himself.
He made sure, to wait.
He didn't know what he was waiting for, but he took this time to reflect.
If you stumble upon this tale on Amazon, it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.
For the last half a thousand years, he had not slept. He had spent all of his time governing the humans,
"Life... How intriguing." He whispered, his eyes threatening to close.
He was a powerful existence, despite not needing rest, he was mentally exhausted from working his hardest for years on end.
Fortunately, it seemed he wouldn't be sticking around long.
"One of my oldest creations." A voice sounded from before him, making his eyes snap open.
He didn't sense a thing!
"It's been a long while, Shiva... I see you've lived a few dozen lives since our last meeting..." Julius gazed into the young man before him, his mind racing at speeds he had not experienced since his quick fight with Jack the Eldratic God.
He felt a strange connection with the entity before him.
Weirdly, his eyes grew wet.
He felt... a lock, on his... existence? Crumble away.
Things flooded his mind. Images, a voice, memories.
"F-Father." He whispered, memories of his first life piling into his mind.
He recalled the two that greeted him upon his first birth.
The All-Father, his creator, and the lord of all there is to be lorded over!
And then memory of Lord Kieron, what he assumed to be his right hand man...
He could remember every detail down to the tee!
He remembered how Kieron lolly-gagged off to the side, playing with a huge moose...
He recalled the two deities silently watching him, listening as he conversed with the wildlife.
He touched his face, feeling the tears dropping.
He had not cried since... He had never cried in this life...
He tilted his head in confusion. There was still countless hidden memories in his brain, but, he felt a core portion had been released.
But there was still something missing.
Yet he didn't care.
He was focusing on more important matters.
"I have been living this life... Life of a god- No, life of, a watcher! Truly, I have been living life as a creator." The All-Father started.
"It's a shame I wasn't there to see you progress in your first life. I'd like to think I've put too much pressure on myself to watch the major events unfold." He stepped through space, approaching Julius who was nearly slipping off of his seat.
"So, I have decided to live life, like you once did. But, of course, I will still be the god I am. Though, this time I'm more interested in living a little more. " His creator was within arms reach.
"In order to fulfill this little goal of mine, I will be forming a new reality. It will start small, a single world likely, but It will be a joint project! Me, Kieron, you, and a few others you may or may not know." A soft, but unbelievably heavy hand, found it's place on his shoulder.
"What do you say, my son?" It was rather conflicting, hearing the words from this human that looks younger than him.
Though Julius truly held no connection with the man before him, it was slightly heart breaking to see him once more.
Strangely enough, he felt a connection so deep with the person standing before him, that it made him want to rip his heart out.
He had never felt such a deep respect for anyone, not a single soul, not even himself.
Maybe it was the information that was implanted upon him in his first life...
Or maybe it was the fact that he saw how the one before him acted when he was first born.
How he, an omnipotent god, leisurely watched his friend mess around in an oasis filled with animals. The two did not have a single care in the world!
They did as they wished...
Maybe that's what true power was.
Having the pure, absolute strength, and undeniable confidence, that nothing will bother you. Having the strength to know nothing can bother you...
"Of course Father..." Julius shivered, smiling a true, heartfelt smile, for the first time in years.
