Chapter 75 - Burnt Marshmallow

CHAPPY 75 - BURNT MARSHMALLOW

--[--]...[--]--

Everyone unanimously decided to ignore what Kyoka had just said and instantly changed the topic, unwilling to touch the topic of underage students having sex.

“I’m sure that none of the monsters we fought are this strong. Is that the main body?” A pale man wearing a trench coat couldn’t help but say it.

“I don’t think so, I saw that he’s feeding something to it. Some sort of red liquid.” Metal Bat chimed in, knowing firsthand that the monster shouldn’t be that strong since he fought one.

Even though it was stronger than any monster he had fought before, the monster shouldn’t be so strong that it was impossible to beat.

Since every ‘clone’ of the monster had roughly the same strength, no matter if that was the main body.

The strength between each monster shouldn’t differ greatly since it was essentially one monster that multiplied itself into ten.

However, they had realized they forgot to account for one important aspect.

Kenjiki’s strength.

They had been speculating about the fight without knowing the extent of Kenjiki’s strength, and instead, their mind added in whatever thing they didn’t know about him.

“How strong is he actually?” A flashy man commented.

“Strong enough. Since he can fight head to head against the monster.” Bang rubbed his chin, he himself was unsure how strong Kenjiki was.

Unfortunately, their conversation was interrupted when another person suddenly joined in the fight.

Someone that everyone there recognized, Amai Mask, the one who got thrown away by Bigzargard.

“Why are you here!?” Kenjiki was annoyed when he saw that someone was bombarding Bigzargard,

To no avail that was, since Bigzargard was simply left unscathed to every attack that Amai Mask had thrown at it.

Surprisingly, Kenjiki noticed something peculiar about the intruder. A distorted face that resembled Bigzargard before it was mutated into a zombie.

“Aren’t you something?” Kenjiki instantly sees through the man’s identity.

Well, not that he cared.

Since it wasn’t like him to care about any other man.

Kenjiki swatted Amai Mask away since he couldn’t deal anything to Bigzargard who continuously injured him instead.

Even though the fighter changed in such a short time, Bigzargard couldn’t care less as long as there was some to vent its anger on.

On the other hand, Kenjiki was more than happy to trade blows and intentionally stalled the fight for as long as he wanted, not wanting to end this anytime soon.

*CLANG!*

*BAM!*

*CLENG*

*SWUING!*

The fight continued for so long that the bystanders got bored with it, some of them even left already since the fight didn’t seem to be ending anytime soon.

Such as Saitama who was interested at first and immediately left once the fight went on for longer than a minute.

Followed by a cyborg centaur who went to catch up with Genos to say something to him.

One by one left, though most of them went to check on the Hero Association headquarters to see if anyone survived.

Tatsumaki had already left long hours ago and went around looking for any survivors by using the shield she gave them as a tracker.

Most of the civilians were safe under her protection, although sadly few of them had died from suffocation due to how long it took her to get to them.

“It’s time to end this.” Kenjiki, drenched in his own sweat, looked at the orange sky.

Bigzargard on the other hand was exhausted, seen by how slower each of its attacks had become.

Unable to defend, he allowed Kenjiki to pierce its chest which followed up with jumping into the sky, twisting his hand causing Bigzargard’s head to be at the bottom.

*WHAAM!*

With one fell swoop, Kenjiki slammed Bigzargard onto the ground and watched as his claymore carved its way onto Bigzargard’s head.

Usually, this small injury should be healed already.

But, unfortunately for Bigzargard, the exhaustion went as far as to render his superior healing factor useless.

Allowing the claymore to reach its core, destroying it.

*crack*

The moment the core was destroyed, Bigzargard’s body had started to disintegrate out of existence, signifying its death.

“That was a satisfying fight, I hope we’ll meet again.” Kenjiki stabbed his claymore onto the ground, clasping his hand as blood started to splash on the ground.

As the last droplet reached the ground, Bigzargard disappeared from the world as it gained its long-lost consciousness.

‘What a bad luck to meet him.’

Meanwhile, Kenjiki had left the burial place with his claymore.

“Where should we go next?” Kenjiki asked the girls since this was his idea to come here.

Looking at the beanbags that they brought out, Kenjiki couldn’t but sigh realizing how long he had been fighting the monster.

“Somewhere nice, maybe a beach or a mountain.” Kyoka stretched her stiff body for the first time in a while.

“A beach huh?” Kenjiki pondered for a bit. “How about we go to Furina’s place?”

“No. Not anywhere in there.” Kyoka said matter of factly, seemingly had been tired of spending her time there.

Kenjiki fell into deep thought, not knowing any good location.

Knowing that Kyoka definitely didn’t want to go to Xianyun’s Mountain either.

“Then how about we fly around looking for one?” Kenjiki suggested an idea, one that Kyoka seemed to be somewhat in for.

Receiving her reply, Kenjiki brought out his wings and scooped Kyoka out of her beanbag.

In a heartbeat, they suddenly appeared in the sky kilometers away. Leaving Shenhe and Mirko behind, although Kenjiki had told the former to bring the latter along with them.

They disappeared in the blink of an eye, leaving Bang, the samurai, scarface, and a macho man who hugged the air seeing how Kenjiki was embracing Kyoka.

“Let’s go back.” Bang tiptoed around the place.

The others also left when they saw him leaving since the reasons they were there already left them.

Minutes after everyone left the place, Kenjiki had found the place and settled down on a beach.

“When did you even prepare this?” Kyoka looked at the grill containing numerous meats.

Kyoka didn’t recognize a few of them, since they didn’t look like any meat she had before.

However, she immediately forgot about them and brought out a back of marshmallows that she took from the fridge.

“You’re prepared for this aren’t you?” Kenjiki laughed watching her skewer some of the marshmallows before putting them on the grill.

“You’re just the one that never planned something and preferred to improvise things.” Kyoka chuckled, while sloppily rotated all of the marshmallows she put on the grill.

Which caused some part of the marshmallows to be burnt, which in turn caused laughter to ensue beside her.

Kyoka punched his jaw before she went completely focused on her marshmallows.

The strength she put into that punch was nasty, almost causing a crack to appear in his jaw.

Meanwhile, Mirko went to help Kyoka since she saw that she was beyond horrendous at this. Also because Shenhe went to help Kenjiki which left her no other choice other than her.

“Is this your first time?” Mirko initiated a small talk with Kyoka while rotating the marshmallows.

“Well, yes. I’ve only seen marshmallows in anime and movies.” Kyoka replied without breaking eye contact with her marshmallow.

“Really? Not once? Where did they bring you for a field trip?” Mirko widened her eyes in shock, hearing that someone had never cooked a marshmallow before.

For someone whose field trip was to the wilderness and living in a tent for some days.

It was quite a shock to hear that someone her age had never cooked one before.

Completely ignoring that they were in entirely different times, where the world had grown into caring for their children instead of letting them be.

“As usual, Kyoto. YES!” Kyoka exclaimed as she raised her half-burnt half-cooked stick of marshmallows.
