Chapter 56 - Lamia’s Defeat

CHAPPY 56 - LAMIA’S DEFEAT

--[--]...[--]--

The student observed the fight from the safety of the dome wall, as his teachers fought against a half-snake half-human woman who was also known as Lamia. Although she was being surrounded from all sides and was being barraged with attack upon attacks, she easily handled all of them with ease.

“Teacher! There’s a villain in here!!” The student shouted, getting the attention of their principal who was on the back giving instantaneous strategy.

“There too? How did they get inside?” Nezu was taken aback when he heard that the monsters were able to go inside of the dome. “Snipe, Ectoplasm! You go in and help the students!”

Two of the teachers were taken aback hearing that but quickly got themselves out of the fight because the safety of their students was their top priority.

“Where are you guys going?” The lamia realized what they were trying to do and swung her tail at them.

“HUMPH!” Tiger, the macho cat threw his body in front of the tail and stopped it in its tracks. “You monsters are truly despicable.”

“Says the uncute one.” The lamia scoffed and spit at the muscle-infested man.

Tiger who saw the spit immediately dodged to the side, and let the spit touch the ground causing it to instantly become a thing of the past as the ground melted beyond recognition.

If not for the acid spits that the lamia kept on blabbering, they should’ve been able to get the upper hand in this 7v1. But the snake was just too much of a toughie for them to be able to land a decisive blow, or rather their attacks couldn’t affect her in any way shape or form.

On the other hand, the lamia was just too strong for them. From the looks of it, the lamia seemed to be playing with them as she kept saying one-liners every time she attacked them.

“Say, do any of you want to go home with me? Both genders are welcomed.” The lamia slithered around, staring at every one of them. “I’ll promise I won’t kill anyone if any one of you agrees.”

No matter how often the lamia kept saying such outrageous things to them. None of them budged and continued attacking trying to look for any slip-up to take advantage of her weakness they had long known thanks to Ragdoll’s quirk.

Well, no matter if they knew her weakness or not. The fact that they couldn’t injure her even after attacking the gem that was her weakness embedded in her chest was the nail in the coffin of this disadvantageous fight.

“Why do all of you suddenly attack this camp?” Nezu shouted from the back, as he started to suspect that the location they chose for this camp might’ve housed something that the monsters wanted.

Because being attacked by hordes of monsters twice in less than a month, would certainly make him think whether it was them or the location was the one that the monsters were looking for.

If not for the attackers being monsters, he would’ve suspected Villain was targeting them out of spite. They’re simply relentless for it to be regarded as a coincidence.

This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere.

“Why? We’re simply told by the young master to create as much chaos as we could.” The lamia easily answered his question as if it were no big deal.

Nezu raised his eyebrow hearing the answer, not knowing who this young master was referring to. Unsure if this young master was just the leader of these monsters or something else.

“Why?” Nezu continued on asking the half-snake since she seemed to be happy to answer everything.

While he was wasting more time by continuing the conversation with the lamia, Nezu signaled for Mandalay to speak to him telepathically so that he could tell her a plan he had conducted in haste.

Once Mandalay relayed his plans to everyone. They readied themselves as they waited for the lamia responses.

“I don’t know, he seemed to be looking to lure out someone.” The lamia shrugged, she herself unsure of the reason. “Anyway, if no one wants to I’ll just drag everyone with me.”

The lamia pursed her lips before she subsequently disappeared and reappeared beside Aizawa with her tail ready to swing.

*Swheep*

Aizawa reacted just in time to block the incoming tail, but the damage wasn’t nonexistent as he could feel both of his arms stinging in pain as a result of blocking the swing.

But rather than waiting for the next attack passively, Aizawa gripped his scarf and threw it to the lamia which she easily deflected away. On the other hand, Present Mic hummed and opened his mouth as wide as he could before blasting his death voice directly in front of the unsuspecting lamia.

Not just finishing there, Tiger suddenly appeared in the air over the lamia.

With one swift move, Tiger slammed her forehead and locked his body around her neck using his quirk that allowed him to manipulate his body freely. Which in turn shut her mouth off preventing her from spitting any more acids.

Following that, Vlad King took advantage of the struggling lamia and slashed his arm letting his blood flow out of his body which he then could use to envelop her before hardening it to trap and lock her in place.

But as if all of those restraints weren’t enough.

“Pixie!” Aizawa shouted as the ground beside the lamia shook and exploded upwards towards her body, locking her hands in place.

The lamia struggled even harder than she could as it was her first time feeling despair ever since she decided to forsake her humanity and received her inhumane strength.

Unfortunately for her though, her recklessness had allowed the heroes to do damage to the extent that she couldn’t move even an inch of her body.

The more frustrating part of this whole thing was that the lamia was vastly stronger than all of them combined, provided that none of the heroes could pierce her skin and make her bleed.

Knowing that, the feeling of dread was real for her whose body was nigh invulnerable against these heroes.

Because she felt a weirdly strong energy that she instinctively felt could kill her coursing out of Aizawa’s body, being concentrated into one point.

Once the lamia couldn’t do anything to defend herself. Aizawa searched for the feeling he had been trying to experience one more time since he received a power boost from using ‘Last Edge’ where he could focus all of the power in one point.

This feeling that Aizawa was experiencing was a tool-aided mana manipulation, where he focused every mana he didn’t realize he had into the tip of his scarf, filling it with quite a tremendous power.

“Ughh!” Aizawa felt lightheaded. But he continued doing so until he felt that he had infused enough power into the scarf, which he swung around and slashed the lamia’s gems with the gathered momentum.

This whole plan was based solely on the ground that the lamia was underestimating them and would joke around thinking that their attacks weren’t much until it was too late.

But from the look of it, the plan was successful.

*cracks*

A quiet cracking noise could be heard, as the green gem that was embedded in the chest of the snake woman shattered into pieces upon making contact with the scarf.

As the price of receiving an inhumane strength, the lamia also received a glaring weakness that’s the gem. Which, when destroyed, would cause her body to petrify, killing her in the process.
