Chapter 57 - Meeting Tomura

CHAPPY 57 - MEETING TOMURA

--[--]...[--]--

“What now? One of the demon-level monsters I sent just died, it won’t be long until the other one dies too.” Tomura growled as he scratched his neck in frustration.

Tomura groaned when he realized his plan of sending everything toward the enemy didn't work and even backfired, killing everything. Suddenly, he lost every bit of his motivation to meet Kenjiki and even wanted to go back as if everything had ended.

"At least fight back a bit. You have those dragon-level monsters lying around anyway." Someone spoke from the side alerting the two of them who didn't notice anyone approaching them.

"Aren't you Lady Nagant? Why are you here?" Tomura instantly recognized the other person that his master had been routinely telling him to stay away from.

"Oh? You know me?" Nagant was surprised to hear him uttering her name. "I guess that master of yours has taught you well. Anyways, I'm here to tell you to try a bit more, send at least a Dragon level our way."

Tomura narrowed his eyes when he heard what she just said. Because it was an utterly outrageous thing to say. It's his first time hearing someone trying to convince their enemies to send a stronger attack, not even his master does that as he had a bad experience in the past with someone.

"What's your goal?" Tomura tested the water, as he didn't believe that she would say something like that without preparing some sort of trap.

"Not really, we just needed something to do and you came here. On this note, do you want to go on an all-out battle?" Nagant floated around with her words until she came up with an interesting idea.

On the other hand, Tomura and the dirthead just looked at her unable to say anything due to how ridiculous her words were. It was simply such a crazy idea to bring up, knowing that Nagang possibly knew how much manpower they had now.

"No? Bummer." Nagant sighed and walked towards the cliff.

"Tell me, will Kenjiki enter this battle?" Tomura stopped her on her track. "If he's in then I'm in."

"Obviously yes." Nagant stood on the edge glancing at them. “So, when do you want to do this?”

"In a month." Tomura arbitrarily answered. "So, about you wanting me to send a dragon level, does it still stand true?"

Nagant grinned at his words and gave him a nod as her body turned into dust that was blown away by the winds.

"Young master, don't we have to consult with the master?" The dirt head spoke after hesitating for a moment.

"He'll understand, he was looking for such an opportunity anyway." Tomura brushed him off. "As you've heard, tell the Dragons to choose who to send."

The dirt head nodded and sunk deeper into the ground before traversing towards the post that was used to transport every one of the monsters here from the base. Once he arrived there, he looked for Kurogiri who was going to teleport away from the post.

"Kurogiri, the young master, wanted to relay two messages." The dirthead poked his head out of the ground and called for Kurogiri.

Once Kurogiri stopped on his track and looked at him, the dirthead started to explain from start to end what had happened on the cliff just now involving someone Tomura called Nagant.

"Understood." Kurogiri nodded and disappeared into the portal he made.

Lemmilion lay there for the next minutes bracing his whole body against the barrages of attacks that Ascendere launched towards him leaving no room to breathe.

This book is hosted on another platform. Read the official version and support the author's work.

Punches upon punches landed on the bruised body that had been taking attacks head-on without any chances to retaliate. Not even with the help of the other students who were shooting their ranged quirks at Ascendere they couldn't break his momentum

So, when Snipe and Ectoplasm arrived at the scene. They instantly saw what they were worried about the most, and without wasting any time as to not let Lemillion endure the beating any longer.

Snipe took out a sniper rifle he had been keeping on his body this whole time, lest he needed something with high firepower. As he loaded the biggest rounds he had, the sniper rifle rapid-fired those rounds targeting all of the obvious vulnerabilities.

While Ectoplasm on the other hand activated his quirk, a clone of himself where both of them took hold of the bamboo arms stopping the onslaught. At the same time, the bullets hit the two eyes Ascendere had alongside both of the parts of the ladder that looked like his shoulders.

Ascendere was staggered as his weakened arms were easily pulled away from the kid who humiliated him. Although, the same thing didn't happen to his eyes as they simply just regenerated back.

"Thanks for stopping me there, I got a bit carried away." Ascendere spoke with a bit of a grin stuck on his face, looking at the bloodied-up kid.

Just the fact that the monster was pretending to be remorseful while having that wicked grin plaster all over the bamboo, made both of them beyond livid.

The student who heroically put their body down to prevent his peers from being targeted was being disrespected by a mere monster who only knew how to destroy things.

Snipe quickly changed his weapon to his beloved dual revolver, feeding them bullets, as he activated 'Last Edge' and rapidly fired tens of bullets in less than a second.

“This again? Fine, I’ll just regenerate again.” Ascendere just stood there waiting for the bullets that previously couldn’t scratch his body aside from his fragile eyes which were instantly recovered.

Even though Snipe didn’t know anything regarding mana or even know about its existence, ‘Last Edge’ forcibly activated the dormant mana inside of his body and did the job for him by strengthening the bullets with mana.

*bam! swoosh! bam! bam!*

Something outside of his expectations just happened, the bullets that previously couldn't even scratch his body suddenly pierced his body with ease leaving numerous bullet holes in his body.

On top of that, he noticed that his regeneration was slowed down. These wounds would usually be regenerated back in less than five seconds, but now the wounds seemed to be stagnant and he was bleeding.

“GAH!” Ascendere groaned in pain as he tried to focus to heal himself.

But seeing that he was in pain. Ectoplasm couldn’t miss out on this chance and created more clones and kept them in a state of perpetual hardened liquid to restrain him while he was waiting for Snipe to reload his sniper rifle.

Ascendere groaned even harder as he struggled even harder to get himself out of the dangerous predicament. Thankfully for him, the next shots weren’t coming any time soon, letting him to activate his power.

With a loud groan, the bamboo grew taller until it was enough to escape Ectoplasm’s liquid body. Once he got away from there, a small part of his body rotted away causing some of his body to separate from each other.

At the same time, Ectoplasm felt the struggle suddenly stop in its tracks, confusing him greatly, knowing well that it couldn’t have died just from that as just a moment ago the struggle was real.

“It’s my first time using this power and it sure was weird leaving the body you had been used to for a new one.” Ascendere’s voice could be heard from behind, which shocked everyone until they comprehended what they were looking at.

Ectoplasm looked back and noticed a ladder that was less than a meter tall; although it had human features plastered all over it.

“Fuck you.” Ascendere cursed at him and clapped causing the grounds around Ectoplasm to distort.

*crack*

In less than a second after the clap, numerous bamboo trees grew from the ground at an odd angle. Though it was finally known why in just a moment later as the bamboo tree locked Ectoplasm’s body in place.

As if that wasn’t enough, a few of them pierced both his palm and his calves, not allowing him to move any part of his body aside from his eyes which were spared from the spearing.

While a pained groan filled the dome, Snipe and the students noticed something baffling took place on Ascendere's body. Where his previously small body had quickly grown taller until it was the same height as his previous body.

But instead of his previous stiff ladder form, his current body could be described as a humanoid bamboo stickman.

“ARGH! GUH! GSHH!” Ectoplasm shouted in pain before clenching his mouth to muffle his pained shouts.

“What do you thin-!” Ascendere was interrupted when a bullet exploded one of his eyes. “This fucker.”

Ascendere was beyond livid that he was caught off guard, to which he snapped one of the bamboos that restrained Ectoplasm and thinned out its girth to fit his palm.
