Chapter 24 - Getting Blasted to Pieces by Saitama

CHAPPY 24 - GETTING BLASTED TO PIECES BY SAITAMA

--[--]...[--]--

A minute later, the cocoon collapsed and freed the bewildered Kenjiki whose face told the world as if he had experienced Hell.

"Is he toying with me? Why do I have to experience that to get some wooden whip?" Kenjiki growled in anger when a branch grew from his sleeve.

Kenjiki hated his action when he remembered what he had to watch in the cocoon. It was the life of the monster he stole the ability, from how it was born and how it died.

It wouldn't be that bad if the monster's life was normal. This one was born because someone literally carved a hole in one of the trees in this park and fucked it, and he had to watch it in HD.

"Well, who told you to be reckless? It was enough to just absorb one of the butterflies that contained its power." Cyrene sighed. "But the thing is because you consumed the whole Lifeblood. The monster's existence is now tied to you.

"Hah?! You mean I have that shit somewhere in me?" Kenjiki cursed and begged her to do something about it. "I don't want to be reminded of tree fuckers anymore."

Cyrene laughed at him before swiping something from his body. She poured quite a considerable amount of mana into it, which caused the cocoon to bloom and released all of the butterflies inside.

"Done, I've recycled the monster." Cyrene spoke, relieving his trauma.

"Praise the Goddess. Anyway, the monster was killed in one punch by a bald man, is that him?" Kenjiki immediately changed the topic to erase any remnant of the monster from his mind.

"Is he wearing a white cape?" Cyrene asked which was replied with a yes. "Then it's probably him."

Getting the confirmation he needed, Kenjiki summoned his wing and followed a mysterious memory that he didn't know where he got it.

In just a second he arrived at another monster getting its body blown away. The culprit matched the description, in which Kenjiki decided to test the water first.

*Flak*

With a strong flap, he blasted his body forward causing it to fly at the speed of sound.

Even so, the bald man below turned his head towards him and looked at the approaching bird in confusion. As it was too small to be a monster.

*Slap!*

A crisp slap rang through the whole park, in which the source was the collision between Kenjiki's hand and the bald head.

Suddenly, Kenjiki's body was turned to particles of dust before he could even react. But at the same time, being turned into dust particles didn't kill him as he recovered all of his body at the next moment.

If you spot this story on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.

"Pure strength huh? I might not be able to win against him." Kenjiki instantly took out a katana and sent multiple slashes to the baldie.

*Swish*

*Swoosh*

On the other hand of the attack was the baldie who was surprised that his punch didn't work. But he didn't think that much about it as he used his body to tank the slashes.

*Clank!*

Using the air slashes as a distraction, Kenjiki appeared beside the baldie and slashed his neck which caused a spark to appear, and the blade couldn't even graze him.

Noticing that the man only stood there tanking the attacks, Kenjiki followed up his attack by creating several blood spears and shooting them using blood bows.

Kenjiki was sure that the attack wasn't going to be successful and flowed most of his mana to his arms and the sharp edge of the katana.

Halfway into the blood spear rain, he raised the mana-imbued katana and vanished to the baldie side, and targeted the neck.

The sword successfully dug a bit into the baldie's neck but was stopped by him when it tried to dig any deeper.

The baldie was surprised when he felt that the attack cut his skin and caused some of his blood to flow out. This caused him to instinctively throw a serious punch to his side and blasted Kenjiki's body to pieces.

On the other hand, Baldie knew that his opponent could regenerate in a blink, and sure it was when he saw the boy had regenerated his destroyed body.

What followed was a barrage of punches homing towards Kenjiki who overclocked his mana to boost his senses and dodged every one of the punches.

Once the barrage stopped, the baldie could see that the boy-shaped monster raised his hands over his head signaling his surrender.

"I surrender! I lost." Kenjiki shouted as he put away his katana.

Kenjiki had used most of his mana on the last slash which put him in a bad position.

Today's fight made him realize how his strength had degraded. Even his body that previously could block the explosion of a star was now getting minced by a punch.

At the same time, the lack of mana caused the recovery of his strength to stagnate. Though it wasn't that bad, his previous strength made his life quite boring.

Meanwhile, the bald man was confused when he saw the monster stop attacking. Which was a first for him, the monsters he fought usually became dust particles.

"Why are you even attacking me?" The man asked and looked around the area that was supposed to be destroyed to pieces because his punches were still intact.

"I'm testing this world Transcendent." Kenjiki said, walking towards Cyrene who was watching from the side while erecting a barrier.

"Transce-what?" The man tilted his head at the new word.

"People who removed their limiter; strong guys." Cyrene spoke, alerting the man about her existence. "Ah, where's my manners? I'm Cyrene and he's Kenjiki.

The man looked at her in shock, he hadn't seen her this whole time considering how close they stood.

"I'm Saitama, a Hero for fun." Saitama introduced himself when he suddenly noticed the boy named Kenjiki acting weird.

Kenjiki licked Cyrene's neck before stabbing his fang into her neck. With just three gulps, he let go of her neck as he recovered all of his mana.

"Anyway, are you guys monsters? You don't look like one, ignoring those wings and horns of yours." Saitama asked as he noticed how fast they changed their behavior.

"We're not human, so yeah." Kenjiki returned to his human form. "It's probably time for me to go, we're going to hunt some monsters."

Saitama just stood there when the two of them walked away. Once they're gone, he focuses his thoughts on the injury that he got from the boy.

"How'd he injure me? He doesn't look that strong."
