CHAPPY 15 - CLEANING UP THE CULT
--[--]...[--]--
"Not really, but they would be a cripple if they didn't go to the hospital." Nagant said while informing the other Heroes that they had alerted the enemy. "It's time to blast through the front door."
Nagant quickly drove the car with the top open. While waiting for Kenjiki to enter the car, Shenhe climbed to the top of the car and stood there for the whole journey accompanied by a floating spear.
"What's her quirk?" Kyoka noticed that Shenhe was gone.
"She can do some ice. Like that boy from your class." Nagant drove at a breakneck speed, causing them to arrive at their destination in no time.
When they arrived there, they could hear sirens blaring and headlights being blared to light up the street where they came from.
On top of the car, Shenhe held a piece of translucent paper which she called a talisman before wrapping it at the spear that was flying around her.
Without touching the spear, she moved it around and waited for a clear view of the gate.
When the sight of the gate entered her vision, the spear spun at a high speed before vanishing with a swooshing sound.
*Swoosh!*
*Clack*
That was all the people atop the gate could hear when suddenly ice surged from the area where the spear was stuck at.
Everywhere from 100 meters from the gate was frozen, following that, a blue translucent figure that's identical to Shenhe floated out of the talisman she had previously placed at the spear.
*Smack*
*CrackaBOOM*
With just one punch from the figure, the ice shattered to bits leaving the front gate of the mansion wide open.
"I don't think that's an Ice-related quirk." Kyoka commented, as the car flew into the air using the ramp Shenhe had just made to avoid crashing into the broken ice.
"Who said so?" Kenjiki chimed in before flying out of the car and handling any surviving cultists around the area.
Things happened in a flash when the last thing the guards saw was a woman standing atop a car before the gate exploded. Now when some of them survived the explosion, Kenjiki blasted all of them with his bat blood.
"Where was the underground gate?" Kenjiki asked using his earpiece.
"An unnecessarily big storage shed." Kyoka replied to him when an explosion followed her answer.
It was Kenjiki punching the air and destroying the storage to nothingness leaving only a path underground. Nagant directly drove the car into the hole and arrived at a wide parking lot where numerous cultist robe-wearing people were scrambling around.
Meanwhile, the supposed main attackers of the raid were looking at the havoc that was going on in the mansion with a baffled expression.
"Are we even needed here?" The Cow Lady asked, looking at the previously sturdy gate which was nowhere to be seen.
If you come across this story on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen from Royal Road. Please report it.
"Change of plan, we're going to go in and apprehend anyone wearing those robes." Clair announced and led the Heroes into the mansion and dealt with anything that was left.
Doing their job as a 'distraction', the group went in blasting their guns, sonic booms, ice booms, blood booming everyone they came to face.
Strangely, they didn't meet any Half-Vampire even though they had breached quite deep into their lair. This caused them to wonder if those Heroes had mistaken their information.
All they could see was some untrained civilian wearing some weird robes.
"Let's stop here first, I'm going to check deeper underground." Nagant stopped the car and got out of the car with her elbow sniper ready.
She summoned The Door and retrieved special ammunition. She blasted the ground before taking a tablet out from The Door and de-summoning it.
Tinkering with the tablet which was a remote drone she could see that there were floors deeper than this, which made everything make sense.
"They probably have some sort of terraforming quirk if they could build that deep." Kenjiki watched as Nagant controlled the drone.
"Should I open a hole?" Shenhe, for the first time ever, finally spoke.
"Not too big, we don't want the whole building to collapse." Kenjiki pointed at a place where he wanted her to make the hole.
Heeding his words, Shenhe walked to the location and took out the same spear she used to blast the gate open. She stomped her feet, freezing the whole area before stabbing the ground with the least strength possible.
*Crack*
*Brack*
The hole was directly above an altar of a room that resembled a church that had thousands of cultists gathered around hearing someone who was adorned with a priest-themed robe.
"Hello there! Can you call for AFO real quick?" Kenjiki poked his head into the hole and spoke to the bamboozled priest.
"Here they are! Defeat those heathens who dared to step their filthy feet on our sacred ground." The priest shouted before leaping away from the hole.
What followed was a firework of quirks being blasted to the little peephole with none of them even reaching their destination.
"Make another hole there."
While those cultists were busy blasting their quirk to the empty hole, the group had gone in using a new hole Shenhe had made.
They arrived down there without anyone noticing.
But the sheer number of cultists there exceeded their expectations, and killing them all would end up with them being persecuted, because who knows what the people were thinking.
Kyoka who felt that she was riding along the ride without doing anything walked in front of them, with her wings spread, she jammed her earphone jacks into her wings.
Cranking the noise to the maximum, she blasted all sorts of loud noises to her wings that spread forward in all directions.
*AJDHOSAHDOASDHOWA!()@#!(@SHD)!#!JDS ADJW*
Was what the cultists heard before feeling their vision to blur and dizzy before falling to the ground.
"That's not how your quirk is supposed to work." Kenjiki was confused as to why her wings could do that. He knew that her jacks could transmit and receive all sorts of noise, but the noises she transmitted should stay inside her wings instead of spreading outwards.
"That's true, but these wings you gave me are modifiable, and so I trained myself to the point that these wings acted the same way as a sound system." Kyoka briefly explained, as her body vibrated as a result of what she had done just now.
They couldn't wrap their heads around how that was supposed to work, but they shrugged it off when they noticed that there were standing cultists left.
All of them had distinctive features, broken ears, and twisty teeth.
"Here they are!" Kenjiki shouted in delight as the main goal of him going here was finally achieved. "Say, Kyo. Do you want to try fighting them?"
"Huh? Me fighting them?" Kyoka looked at those angry-looking people who were glaring at her. She wanted to reject it, but he promised her that they were going to handle every other Half-Vampire and left one for her to focus on.
As if to motivate her, Nagant shot some of them in the head before burning them to ash. Kenjiki on the other hand used a proven method of bashing their head open and used his superiority in terms of blood hierarchy to command them to instinctively forget how to regenerate. Shenhe just froze the rest of them leaving one alive.
Kenjiki had wanted to fight all of them at the same time, but thinking about it again, he knew that these Halfies probably wouldn't give him any satisfaction.
If there's anyone that could excite him, it was probably AFO and All Might.
