Chapter 12 - Vacation to America

CHAPPY 12 - VACATION TO AMERICA

--[--]...[--]--

"What are you guys trying to achieve by announcing that thing? Seems useless to me." Kenjiki asked the teacher of his that came to his class as a formality.

"It's time for your internship." Aizawa just ignored him and directly spoke of his goal of going into the classroom.

Kenjiki just stared at his teacher of his who continued to explain things about the internship programs while ignoring his constant questions.

"Right, I'll choose Nagant Hero Agency." Kenjiki spoke and proceeded to play with his phone, but being ignored caused his curiosity to fade.

The same was also with Aizawa who instantly vanished from the classroom without forgetting to say something.

"Oh yeah, Kyoka Jiro is now in class 1-S."

Just a second after that, the door of his classroom was opened by Kyoka who was carrying her backpack and sat beside him.

In less than a second after she sat down, she sniffed her nose when she noticed a strange smell on his body, it was quite the peculiar smell that she had smelled once before but never thought much about it.

"Hmm? It's Nagant's, her smell sticks for quite some time." Kenjiki's way of phrasing was odd, to say the least, it was unknown whether it was intentional or not.

Kyoka's mind had gone wild again, which was quite the sight for him.

Deciding to not disturb her, he let her be and just looked at her until she finally looked at him once again and realized what he was doing.

"S-So, have you decided where to take your internship?" Kyoka tried her best to avert the topic. "I'm thinking of the Ryukyu Agency."

"Too bad then, I was thinking of taking you to Nagant's Agency." Kenjiki 'sighed'.

"She has an Agency of her own? Also, you can do that?" Kyoka was taken aback hearing about it because she thought she was another of his servants.

Kenjiki just nodded at her, causing her smile to beam at him as if saying she wanted to go with him. Which wasn't something hard to do.

With just a text message, their internship was set in stone.

--| A Few Days Later |--

It was finally the day for them to take a vacation. While the other students who got an offer for a Pro Hero Agencies internship were going to their respective destinations to introduce themselves.

Kenjiki and Kyoka had instead gone to The Door and been lazing around for the first day.

"Are you sure this was how the internship was supposed to go?" Kyoka asked as she had been asking herself if strolling around this strange world of his was the way to go.

Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon.

"Then do you want to fight Villains instead?" Nagant asked, with her eyes closed.

"Not Villains, at least do some neighborhood patrolling." Kyoka denied the fighting part quite quickly.

"We've been doing it, no?" Kenjiki chimed in.

Kyoka was speechless, she didn't know whether they were lazy or not with all of this lazing around they had been doing.

She had once thought they were at least active with how much Kenjiki had been putting into the sports festival.

Kenjiki looked at her expression going from exhaustion to exhaustion.

"Then, do you want to go to America? I promise you that there's a lot to do there." Kenjiki suddenly suggested, remembering how much bank robbery happened daily there.

"I'm sure there's a lot of things to do there, but can we?" Kyoka was starting to doubt herself by following him to take an internship here.

"We can, actually, the Agency here was just a branch." Kenjiki once again spoke.

She was silent looking at how confident he was, and because there were only 6 days left before the internship ended, she decided to try this as a last resort.

Nagant on the side was scrolling through her phone, looking for something for the two of them to do on the 'Hero Network', a website that's only available for a licensed Hero where they could ask, look, inquire anything about Heroism around the world.

[Half-Vampire Cult Hideout Found.]

From the title alone she deduced that it was probably connected with Kenjiki, but anger filled her face as she continued to read the article.

"That bastard has successfully turned people into Half-Vampire using master's blood." Nagant blurted out, alerting Kenjiki who sent her a telepathic message.

'It's that.' Nagant sent back a telepathic message and explained the article she had just read.

Kenjiki massaged his temples not knowing what to say, because the cult location had just to be near their Agency in America.

Kyoka noticed his change of expression and couldn't help but ask.

"We're going to fight Villains if we went to America now, do you still want to go?" Kenjiki looked at her with a serious expression causing her to fall deep into thought.

"Is it not the Hero's duty to defeat those Villains?" Kyoka retorted after thinking about it for some time.

Her enthusiasm caused him to shrug.

Once he briefed her about everything she needed to know before going to America.

[Quirk is allowed for anything except for killing another Human.]

[She's probably going to see a lot of guns, modified ones.]

[Get used to hearing explosions every once in a while.]

She felt that he exaggerated about America, no matter how far the continent was, it shouldn't be that different from Japan.

--| Nagant Agency Headquarter |--

Traveling via The Door only took them less than a second on a journey that usually lasted more than half a day of sleeping in an airplane.

They directly appeared in a tall skyscraper that if one had to rank it by the height, it would place itself in the middle.

"Are you secretly a trillionaire? To have an empty skyscraper in the middle of New York for yourself is… something." Kyoka at first thought that the building she was in was an apartment where they lived, as opposed to their office.

But once she was told that it was theirs and that it was only used as a front to their Hero Agency which was just a shell to make them appear capable.

"It's overkill, I know. But it's free, I just made the president immune to old age." Kenjiki said, while acting, what he just said was common sense.

"Oh yeah, do you want to patrol now? If yes, change to your costume that I told you to bring." Nagant chimed in and pointed to a room where she could change.

Kyoka followed the instructions and went to change into her costume while Kenjiki and Nagant opened a glass that was specifically made to be movable before flying to the highest point of the skyscraper.

"Something had to be threatening to flatten New York, right?" Kenjiki looked around the skyscraper-filled city.
