CHAPPY 49 - GANYU THE LAZY

"Do all of you finally understand what Mana is?" Cyrene asked for the last time as she had just finished explaining the basics of mana to the curious girls.
They sat on an open grass plain where chairs that were made by Momo lined up facing Cyrene who was still in her previous attire while the girls had long already changed from their bikinis into a kimono given by Ei.
"I understand that Mana is some sort of energy that makes up the world, but I heard you said that our world is mana-less so does that mean mana isn't important for a world?" Momo inquired.
"Ah, that. Rather than mana-less, dormant is the right word for it. As in the fact that because no creature had successfully harnessed the power of mana for a long time, it became passive and only worked in the background, and it's Kenjiki's existence that awakened it back." Cyrene explained, although only Momo could comprehend perfectly what she meant.
While Momo could understand Cyrene's explanation perfectly, the girl's comprehension of mana was a bit behind because most of the terms used in the explanation were unknown to them.
However, it didn't really matter that much unless they wanted to be full-fledged mages which required them to master the basics of mana theory and successfully conjured a spell.
Which was out of the question for everyone in the room because they didn't even have a sliver of mana in their body.
"Anyways, there's a way for guys to receive mana manipulation artificially. But those talks will come when specific requirements are met and I won't tell you what it is." Cyrene said with an evil smirk as she laid a trap for everyone. "No, don't ask me."
Cyrene suddenly felt something from behind the girls who were bursting with questions about how they could get to use mana.
From the mana circulation pattern, she recognized it as 'The Door' being summoned, although she was a bit confused about who it might be considering that Kenjiki was still busy fooling around and not putting it in yet.
In less than a second, 'The Door' appeared and spewed two confused people out. They were out of their minds because they had just been teleported for the first time in their life and what's more, they were unprepared.
"Welcome, are you here for Kenjiki or someone else?" Cyrene greeted them, snapping them out of their daze.
"Ah uh, we're here for him but he seems busy and then Lady Nagant just sends us here." Midnight answered as she finally registered what she was looking at.
A woman the same age as her was sitting on a podium while her students sat on a chair facing her direction. Although that wasn't the thing that baffled her, Cyrene was only wearing the concept of clothes with how see-through her whole body was.
But her students being unbothered with such displays confused her even more. Even if they were high schoolers who most likely watched something like this once in their life, staring at other people's naked bodies shouldn't be something they are comfortable with.
As if her mind was being read through, Cyrene interrupted her thought process.
If you encounter this story on Amazon, note that it's taken without permission from the author. Report it.
"Don't worry about my body, it is simply too beautiful for someone to be uncomfortable looking at it." Cyrene chuckled as she observed her reaction. "No. It's just that I am forcing them to adapt for the future."
Midnight was even more confused as to what she was talking about. But seeing that no one else was bothered by it, she decided to not continue talking about that topic and instead asked where and what they were doing.
"We were just talking about mana, and we are currently in a world called 'The Crimson'." Cyrene said, and which as she expected caused them to ask what that was supposed to mean. "Ask Momo, she has a good brain."
Momo, being the one who was thrown the responsibility to explain everything she had just learned, immediately created two more seats for them before she started blabbering.
"What should we do after this? There's nothing interesting to do around here." Cyrene pondered as she realized that there wasn't much to do to begin with.
Everyone raised their eyebrows, unsure if Cyrene really said nothing was interesting when the place where they were currently was literally a floating island above a never-ending sea.
What's more, this island wasn't the only floating island around as they could see hundreds of them littering the sky with only their eyes, even then they could still see silhouettes on the edge of their eyes.
"These are just short-lived novelties that will fade the moment you know how cramped the world is." Cyrene shrugged.
Even if she said that Cyrene clapped her hands while looking in a certain direction as if she was calling for someone. This confused everyone who didn't know what she was doing, but not long after that a humongous crane descended from heaven at a staggering speed.
"What is it?" The crane asked in a deep sultry voice before she landed her eyes on the girls. "Call Ganyu instead, I don't want to deal with infants."
The crane stomped her foot, summoning 'The Door' to which she vanished only for it to spit a sleepy woman out of it. She looked around awkwardly as she looked at Cyrene asking her for an explanation.
"Go be a tour guide for them, it's better compared to sleeping for a century." Cyrene pointed at the girls who were unsure what to think at the scene they had just witnessed.
"Why? I had only slept for two hundred years just now." Ganyu pleaded for her to reconsider, saying that she had just taken a short nap before this.
"Sigh, why won't you ever be diligent like Shenhe." Cyrene sighed, messaging her temples. "I'll let you free for the next thousand years if you agree to do this."
Ganyu's eyes lit up the moment she heard her words, she then clapped her hands as a blinding smoke screen exploded covering everyone's vision before it disappeared in the next second, revealing a shocking sight to everyone present.
A majestic creature that reminded them of a Unicorn and a Kyuubi appeared on the ground where Ganyu had just stood.
"A Qilin?" Pony, the horny girl exclaimed in surprise the moment she laid sight on the creature.
Everyone else just stared at her in confusion as she was the last person they expected to know about such a thing as Qilin.
"I read them somewhere as a child because I mistakenly finished a book about Chinese mythical beings while trying to learn about Japan." Pony smiled slyly, getting reminded of her own mistake of the past. "Though Qilin was the only one I remembered because it looked beautiful."
"How about you guys talk on the road? I need to go for a moment, something annoying just came up." Cyrene stood up and instead of the usual 'The Door' summoning, she directly disappeared into thin air.
Ganyu looked at her disappearance for less than a second before she lowered her body, signaling everyone to climb her back. With Cyrene leaving and having no one else who knew about the world, they climbed her back one by one.
Once she saw that everyone had climbed on, she turned towards the edge and leaped downwards, scaring the girls who thought she was going to submerge them into the sea.
But before they could scream, Ganyu stepped into the air, halting her body high in the sky overlooking the sea.
"What do you know about this world?" Ganyu asked, not wanting to explain something they had already known. But to her annoyance, they knew nothing about the world. "*sigh*"
