CHAPPY 46 - BLASTIN’ THROUGH A METEOR
--[--]...[--]--
"What in the actual fuck?!" Someone blurted out reflexively when they saw what was falling from the sky.
It wasn't just him, everyone else from the villainy gang was unable to comprehend the huge meteor that was falling from the sky. What's more, the fact that they were standing on the rooftop of one of the skyscrapers made them even closer to the meteor.
It was ten times bigger than what they were expecting, at most they thought it would be the size of the biggest boulder they could think of just because of how calm their boss' boss was when telling them.
"How big is that thing?" Twice shouted with both of his palms planted on his cheeks.
"Bigger than we expected for sure." A man wearing a magician costume and a mask said. "Don't you think we should go?"
"We have Kurogiri with us." Tomura looked down over the streets that were filled with cars and people trying to evacuate the city.
Thanks to the vantage point given by the place he was standing at, he was able to clearly see the ground and the meteor at the same time with a slight burn sensation assaulting them.
Meanwhile, he also noticed a weird-looking man standing on one of the skyscrapers not far away from them who was glaring at the incoming meteor seemingly thinking about something.
"Is he one of those heroes?" Dabi also noticed the man by following his leader's gaze.
"He's not human is he not?" Twice looked at the machine that covered the man's whole body except for his head.
"Cyborg precisely, a human who modified their body into that of a machine." The magician took out his notes and read the brief explanation he had written for such an occasion.
"A real cyborg?!" Twice excitement increased through the roof as he never expected to see a real cyborg.
That's when they noticed an old man walking over to the cyborg's side. His appearance was sudden as no one expected an old man like him could climb a whole skyscraper.
After a light talk between the two of them. The cyborg suddenly pierced his own chest and took out his heart… No, the fabled cyborg core that functioned as their energy source to be precise.
Putting the core into his left arm, the cyborg raised his arm upright and shot a thick energy beam at the meteor causing it to vibrate a little bit and unaffected in its track to blast the city to pieces.
"We've overestimated him." The magician chuckled seeing the disappointed Twice.
"Compress, can you get all of the monster cells?" Tomura called for the magician, to which he replied with a bow as Kurogiri sent him deep into the underground.
The city was doomed because of how close the meteor was to the city and that none of the heroes who had come to handle the meteor could scratch it.
But as they retreated from the skyscraper. Twice, who had been attentively cheering for the cyborg, noticed a bald man appearing out of nowhere before he jumped at such a high speed that his eyes couldn't even follow him.
Twice shouted to his friends telling them about the baldie, but before they could react to him.
*CRACK*
*BOOM*
The meteor above them suddenly exploded to pieces and started to rain smaller pieces of the meteor. But no matter how fragmented it was, the falling rocks were still bigger than they desired.
If you spot this story on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
"Kurogiri, tell Compress to leave the unmatured be. It should be safe from the explosions." Tomura said as he left using the portal Kurogiri had made earlier.
Back in the worn-down bar, Toga was hysterically panicking about the huge meteor that destroyed the city from the Earth and that the first cyborg they had ever seen was turned to ash.
She was the first to evacuate so she didn't see what had happened to the meteor at the last second and still thought that the city had vanished.
"Who did that?" Tomura asked Twice who might know as he was the one who shouted.
"A bald guy wearing a red cape. That's all I can see." Twice wanted to replicate the baldie's appearance, but because he didn't have the detail noted, he couldn't.
"Is there anyone that looks like that in their hero list?" Tomura looked at Compress, the magician, and asked because he usually did know.
But for the first time in a while, Compress shrugged as if telling him that he didn't know or have anything involving a bald guy in his handy note.
After a moment of silence, they shook off their surprise while Toga took out her phone and searched for the UC's hero list where she scrolled for quite some time searching for a hero with a matching description.
Toga found no one that matched Twice's description, but when she finally hit the last hero on the list, that was when she saw a peculiar man with a shining bald head.
"Is it him?" Toga showed him the phone.
"Although I didn't see his face. I'm sure that the costume that the baldie is wearing is exactly like this." Twice confirmed after examining her phone.
Without saying anything, Tomura snatched the phone from her and looked at the man posing for the photo. Weirdly enough, other than the shining beacon that was his bald head, the man had no differentiating feature and people would likely mistake him for other people if he ever regained his hair.
"Are you sure you're not mistaken?" Tomura was understandably doubtful and believed that this one was just another bald guy.
Twice ferociously nodded when he was asked which made Tomura sigh not knowing if this baldie was the same one that destroyed the meteor he couldn't even imagine approaching.
Meanwhile,
"ACHOO!" Saitama sneezed as he landed back on the rooftop. "Did someone talk behind my back?"
Saitama brushed it off as he approached the disheveled cyborg and picked him up on his back.
"Old man, are you his new friend?" Saitama looked at the only person standing left, a hunchback old man.
"Friend? More so acquaintance. Anyway, you should treat your disciple's injuries." The old man jumped off the rooftop, leaving Saitama behind.
Although he was weirded by the old fellow talking as if they were friends, he couldn't be bothered by it and left the rooftop area with the cyborg in tow before landing in front of his apartment in one big leap.
Putting the cyborg down on the floor and laying him against the wall he went to the kitchen to look for some to eat.
"Genos! Do you want anything?" Saitama shouted, forgetting that the cyborg was unconscious. "Ah."
"Have some bananas and a glass of water."
--| Kenjiki's Yacht |--
Unbeknownst to all of them, all-out destruction of a city and its surroundings was successfully avoided, though the city was still destroyed to pieces instead of the supposed complete annihilation.
That all happened while Kenjiki and the girls were dipping their bodies in the yacht's hot tub which had quite the length to fit everyone in at the same time.
"You girls, has he told you about the plan onwards?" Nagant, who was sunbathing not far away from them, asked.
"Other than 'boating', nothing else." Kendo was the one who answered. Like everyone else there, she also wore a bikini that covered less than a percent of her body.
"Really?" Nagant sighed as she typed something in the air. "I've sent all of you the actual activities lists so read it"
A synchronized notification rang not far away from the hot tub. The sources were the girls' towels where they had put their watches because it would be uncomfortable to wear them while soaking their bodies.
"Should we go diving?" Kenjiki looked at his sleepy girlfriend.
Kenjiki looked at her complexion and knew what happened to her but not the details of why it happened. Because there were only a few reasons for a Vampire like them to be tired, a lack of mana.
This reason also confused him, because she shouldn't be lacking any mana since she should be producing mana on her own albeit a small amount and her Half-Vampire physique didn't require a substantial amount of mana to maintain.
Although he wasn't sure, Kenjiki had an idea that Kyoka should be training quite extensively with how little she had been seen on the camp and the mansion whenever he was home.
"Uhn? Sure, why not?"
