Chapter 52 - Calm Sea?

Chapter 52 - Calm Sea?

CHAPPY 52 - CALM SEA? NAH.

--[--]...[--]--

“I mean it’s a place owned by Kenjiki, I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s something mandated by him.” Kendo didn’t miss the chance to dig at the property owner.

“That's true." No one could refute her words, as they saw firsthand how perverted the man who invited them here under the pretense of a yacht vacation.

"How about we leave the premises? It'd be better rather than having to meet people like them again." Nejire suggested, as she deep down wanted to go out and explore but wasn’t brave enough to do it by herself.

Everyone agreed the moment that idea was out there because they too were more than happy to not ever see an adult woman naked once again. The easy access to see their private parts was too much for them to handle.

Backtracking their steps, they arrived at the mansion's front gate directly connected to the only bridge connecting the outside world with the mansion.

Glancing down at the river that surrounded the mansion in a chokehold, they laid their eyes on a fast-moving body of water that would surely drown even Asui.

But to everyone's shock, they saw multiple huge Kois the same size as the girls who were agape looking at them. They also seemed to be leisurely swimming on the river as if it were just a normal day. Well, it's a normal day indeed for them Kois.

"How did the ground not erode?" Midnight mumbled, perplexed at how the dirt was completely unharmed.

"Something that got to do with magic? They are mages after all." Kendo, who was confused, attributed it to magic which Kenjiki and everyone here seemed to clearly have.

"Forgot that was real for a second." Nejire smiled awkwardly for forgetting something she just learned a few hours ago. "From the looks of it. The whole world itself is magical."

Past through the bridge, they arrived at a point where they finally noticed the huge gorge that surrounded the mansion from the sides. But even the gorge wasn't big enough to contain the entirety of the imaginary that refused to be contained in it by sheer pettiness.

Resulting in a baffling scene where a glowing tree refused to touch the ground, casting a shadow upon the gorge. The only thing that the Imaginary Tree touched was the peaks of the gorge that were infested by the tree's branches.

"This looks more like a mangrove tree." Asui commented remembering how a mangrove tree would hover in the air and spread its roots frantically to cling to anything.

"True. But instead of the dreary damp tree, it looked more like a holy tree." Nejire nodded, getting what she meant.

"Nejire, can you fly us to the opening? We'd like to see what the world looks like." Midnight asked, as her inner curiosity got the best of her.

Nejire, being the ever so curious girl she was, of course, didn't want to pass this chance and immediately engulfed everyone with her quirk to which she flung their body as fast as she could.

Weirdly, no one was having a hard time handling the speed which was the result of Nejire meticulously wrapping everyone in a way that their whole body was wrapped in her energy without hurting them.

"A never-ending sea, this must be the western Calm Sea." Ochako instantly recognized what they were looking at. "Should we really go there? The sea doesn't look that calm to me."

If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. Please report it.

True to her word, the name Calm Sea was the worst way you could describe the region. Because the sea was far from calm, the more appropriate name for the region was 'Chaotic Sea'.

Because as far as they could see. Raging tides, sea storms, sea beasts, downward vortex, upward vortex, lightning vortex and much more and it would require too much time just to list all of them.

"But how did we not notice all of this back then? I'm sure that we were on one of those islands for quite some time." Nejire asked herself as she remembered a piece of information. "We were in the southern part of the region. Maybe that's how."

"Should we go to the other place? We'd only end up dead if we go there." An invisible voice asked the logical thing.

The other agreed as the sea seemed to be too much for them to even approach.

That was until the sea suddenly ceased its action finally fitting the name it was given.

It was a confusing sight as the storms dispersed at the same time, and the waves got calmer which in turn caused the vortexes to cease to exist, even the fighting sea beasts swam away from the surface into the depth as if they were scared.

"Are you guys the visitor?" A playful voice asked them, for them just to notice that someone was floating in front of them.

Although they were confused and surprised at how they didn't notice the girl in front of them. Midnight collected herself and yold Nejire to bring her to the front in a way that they wouldn't offend anyone left; they were unhinged like the rest of the inhabitants.

"Yes. We were invited here by Kenjiki and wanted to explore the world while he was busy back there." Midnight bowed, although the one she was talking to was the same height as Asui who had the smallest body of the bunch.

"Kenjiki? Ah his new name, and call me Furina if you don't know already." Furina nodded. "Why don't you go to my domain, treat it as me greeting my new neighbor."

Even though everyone didn't know what she meant by neighbor, Kendo on the other hand felt that Furina was specifically looking at her when she said the last part of her sentence whilst having a mild devilish grin on her face.

"Here we are, touch the statue and we'll be ready." Furina said, pointing at the replica of herself in the form of a statue.

Everyone was taken aback when they noticed that the scenery around them had changed. The same also happened to them where they suddenly found themselves in a completely different location without noticing it.

"Where are we?" Kendo, being the first to collect herself, asked the one responsible.

"My domain. Also, you'd want to touch that statue of mine if you don't want to die here." Furina once again reminded them, as one by one they touched the base of the statue.

Mere moments after they touched the statue, all of them experienced some kind of enlightenment where their sense was expanded immensely causing them to be able to indirectly 'see' the sea around them.

It was a mind-blowing experience where their consciousness wandered in the sea without them being able to control it. But thankfully, after a few minutes of wandering around, they were finally able to control their consciousness and they quickly called back.

"How'd you say?" Furina asked while she was sitting atop a big bubble.

"What was that?" Asui widened her eyes, unable to comprehend what she just experienced.

"It's just your mana sense getting forcefully expanded. But because you don't have any mana in your body, it's like drinking a bucket of alcohol for the first time." Furina explained as she observed everyone getting back on their feet. "Whether it's good or bad for you, it depends."

"Did you just drug children?" Midnight, still dazed, questioned Furina with both of her hands clenching her shoulders.

"I mean. You're here." Furina shrugged, not knowing what to say anymore.

Because the sole fact that they're here meant that they, to some extent, were brainwashed. While it wasn't to the extent that they completely only existed for his desire, their perception was already altered according to their inner thought.

However, that was only true for the newcomers who hadn't known Kenjiki for long. Because the likes of Ei, Shenhe, Ganyu, and Cyrene who had been with him for eons and had already gotten used to his passive brainwashing to the point it didn't affect them in the slightest.

"Anyway, let's go down." Furina strode onto the water and threw herself in.
