Chapter 60 - Monkey King

CHAPPY 60 - MONKEY KING

--[--]...[--]--

“Is that the monster she was talking about? But why does it look just like a human?” Furina muttered as she looked at the humanoid monkey, finding nothing that could be described as ‘monster-like’ in him.

Other than the wild look of his that he got, there’s nothing of note.

Being the last one to arrive at the scene, she was being stared at for that remark of hers. Even the monkey looked at her as she didn’t hold back her voice at all.

They looked at her inconspicuous appearance, being the only person they had ever seen having light blue hair but weirdly could get it right without looking weird.

“Who’s that?” The students muttered as they tried to inquire about her, somewhat curious about her as they never saw her in the camp ever.

However, no one could answer that question and they themselves wanted to ask that question to someone.

“Ah, do continue what you wanna do. I’m here to watch the show.” Furina opened her mouth as she planted the water jellyfish into the ground for comfortable seating.

The monkey looked at her and narrowed his eyes, unable to comprehend how such a carefree person could ever exist in this world.

Even the teachers were thinking the same, although most of their focus was put on getting their students to safety, away from this wild monkey who made an outrageous entrance by wrecking a whole bus.

*Whack—swhoosh*

The monkey jumped and landed in front of Furina, glaring down at her while putting on his tense face.

“Who are you? You smell different from these people.” The monkey stood at a distance from her, unable to get any closer due to a strange force preventing him from getting any closer.

“How rude. But then again, what do I expect from an uncivilized beast like you?” Furina looked at him and flicked her finger at him as crescent-shaped water suddenly formed and flew at him.

Even though the water flew at a high speed, the monkey just cocked his head to avoid being hit by the water as it exploded not far away in the back.

Once the water crescent exploded, completely missing its target. The two of them engaged in a staring contest to which the monkey won easily as Furina couldn’t bear to look at him for a second longer than she should’ve.

“Yeah, you’re literally a humanoid monkey.” Furina sighed as she turned her face away from him.

The entirety of UA couldn’t help but gulp at the same time as they watched the girl belittling the monster who they saw could flatten a bus by landing on top of it.

“Is there anything wrong with it?” The monkey couldn’t help but grimace at her sentence, but poor him he couldn’t even approach her to do anything.

Stolen from its original source, this story is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

“I mean, you’re wrong to begin with.” Furina’s eyes continued to wander away as she found the supposed adults of this group.

Leaving the monkey behind, she took off and drifted towards the homeless-looking man with a mouse on his shoulder.

“Are you the leader?” Furina asked Aizawa if he was, as she sensed the mana inside of him.

“...No, he is.” Aizawa hesitated for a bit and deflected the responsibility to Nezu.

Furina was taken aback when she heard that the mouse she thought was just a little friend was actually their leader. But then again, a human-shaped monkey existed so it might’ve been normal to have a mouse to lead them.

“Do you need some help? That thing is angy right there.” Furina asked as she glanced at the monkey who glared at them in silence, as if telling them to finish talking before anything else would continue.

“It’s not like we can refuse, but before that, who are you?” Nezu also noticed that the monster was waiting for them.

Furina pursed her lips as she started getting annoyed by this question that kept appearing every few minutes at this point.

At that moment, she suddenly noticed a name she could use while being here, someone she knew who went to the same school as them to waste his time while waiting for things to happen.

“One of Vulcane’s woman—Ah, he goes by the name Kenjiki now.” Furina interjected herself in the middle of talking.

To which everyone cocked their head in confusion, confused as to who was this Kenjiki she was talking about. Meanwhile, the few people who knew or heard about him couldn’t help but choke.

Because they were absolutely sure that he already had a girlfriend which was Kyoka Jiro who had disappeared for quite some time. And no one seemingly knew where she went alongside the other girls of the first grade.

“Anyway, go fight, I'll support you from the back.” Furina shooed them away as she called the monkey who had gotten bored waiting for them. “You can fight all you want, but you’ll die if you injure any of them.”

Furina spoke loud and clear while pointing at Kendo’s group who flinched when they got mentioned.

Though it was Midnight who was sweating the most as she noticed the give given by the other teachers who looked at her, seemingly asking an obvious question like ‘Where have you been?’.

Unable to answer any of them, she diverted her focus towards the monkey who was stretching his body, getting ready to throw hands.

“Even though I was a human just a few days ago, it felt weird seeing how unnecessarily long-winded you guys are.” The monkey looked over to all of the kids around him and noted the few of them who weren't just outright scared of him. Though he mainly looked at the group that Furina mentioned.

The monkey finished his warm up and spoke for the last time.

“My name is Monkey King—!!” Monkey King disappeared the moment that the last word left his mouth.

The next moment before they realized it, Monkey King appeared above Midnight who was still oblivious to her surroundings with his left leg ready to kick, to which he did.

*Splash*

Rather than the one result he expected, he found that his leg was trapped in the air by a weird blob of water, This caused him to become even more on guard than before as he exerted most of his strength just to get his leg out of it.

“Haaah, what do I say about leaving them unscathed?” Furina sighed from afar as the water slammed onto him with just a thought of hers.

Monkey King flew back and crashed onto one of the trees coughing a bucketful of blood, leaving him lying on the ground out of shock.

It was the first time ever since he gained his power that he ever got beaten up like this when even the monsters at his level could only tire him out without dealing any significant damage to him.

On the other hand, the rest of them who didn’t know what just happened just saw the result where between the moment Monkey King introduced himself before the trees exploded, which played faster than they could react.

“Go fight him, now that I've wounded him a bit.”
