Saturday, 26th November.
Robin woke up a little earlier than he was supposed to. It was because they needed to drive for a long distance. He had never driven for a whole day before but he was looking forward to it. Travelling across Europe in a car was a dream of many people and Robin wasn't excluded from the list.
He had already made the plans after looking at the map. He didn't care if the scenery was beautiful enough or if he had taken the optimal route. All he wanted was to travel and make new memories along the way.
"Myrene, is everything ready?"
"Everything has been packed. The automatic bird feeder has been installed so that the bird Pokemons wouldn't be hungry."
Robin felt a little bad to leave the Pokemon unattended but the house needed to have some security and he couldn't bring the Pokemons with him to the open anyways. Only Pokemon which could go with him was Haunter. Only the ghost Pokemon was safe with him.
He had already apologised to them, explaining why he couldn't bring them. Fortunately, the Pokemons didn't exactly complain. Except for Pidove. Each and every Pokemon had their own personality and Pidove among the Pokemons was more outgoing and it definitely wanted to go with him.
After much persuasion he had managed to calm the Pokemon down on the promise that once he had enough power in the world he would bring it for 'longer' vacations.
Robin took his laptop and all other belongings that he might need along the way. He wasn't exactly sure what kind of things he would lack on this journey but it didn't matter.
Food and water would never be a problem for him. If they were ever in some crazy circumstances run out of power there was JARVIS who would send support in the fastest way possible. Security was also not an issue as both Myrene and Robin were powerful. Robin had his words of power which at times was more powerful than just the fists and swords of Myrene.
Robin actually didn't want to bring the swords of hers but she refused to budge if they didn't take her precious weapons. Robin just hoped that the border patrol wouldn't catch them as he wasn't sure if the border patrol here was strict. JARVIS had already made a proper identity for her along with a driver licence which was done in her 'home' country.
Thus after this small episode they both sat on their seats. Myrene was also a little sad for leaving the Pokemons so she bid her goodbye to them from the window as the car left the estate. Haunter was revolving inside the car as it felt that it had achieved peak in life.
From a closed room to travelling the world. It had come a long way.
Robin had decided to take the A7 highway as it passed through the ocean from one side of the Netherlands to the other. The road went through Wieringerwerf and then proceeded to spear its way through the ocean and come out on the other side of the country. It was supposed to be a road on a long and narrow stretch of land. He didn't research much on it and just wanted to experience it first hand.
Robin had decided to visit the country of Norway and Denmark after crossing the borders of the Netherlands. This included going through the city of Hamburg which was in Germany.
With those goals in mind they started their journey and soon were out of Amsterdam. The traffic in Europe was nothing compared to his home country so it was quite an enjoyable ride for him. Myrene didn't need any food but Robin definitely needed food so he had various games open for consumption of normal foods.
Support creative writers by reading their stories on Royal Road, not stolen versions.
Of course he would only do that when he was extremely hungry and there was no town nearby where they could park and have lunch or dinner. On the first day itself they were able to cross the country of Netherlands and reached Bremen in Germany. The roads were perfect and they had been travelling on the road with the most gentle speed possible and enjoying the view.
"The ocean is beautiful." Myrene said in a very low tone. Robin was happy that she had finally started showing hints of emotion and by the end of this long journey he was sure that she would evolve in a much better way.
"It is. I heard there are some great beaches in Spain and Portugal. We will also go there."
"Umm...hmm."
When they reached Bremen it was already night and JARVIS had booked a great room in a hotel for them. It was the first long journey for Robin so he was a little exhausted and after having dinner he went to sleep.
While this was happening in Robin's life, JARVIS had already hired some teams of archaeologists from around the globe. One team which was led by a renowned archaeologist was sent to Indonesia for researching more on Gunung Padang in Indonesia.
This site was supposed to be just made of normal volcanic rocks but it didn't add up because the stones were built in such a way that it resembled the boundaries of rooms. And it also didn't add to the fact that the whole thing was made like a pyramid.
And that was not all, if one dug deeper one could find that there were structures below and they were more old than the rocks which were out in the open. Of course it could be nothing and maybe just a normal pyramid from the ancient times with no clues but he still wanted to know if there was something missing.
Gunung Padang was situated in a very remote part of Indonesia so the team needed proper gears and tools to be imported and also permission from the local government. Of course to top it all, they needed a security detail too which JARVIS hired for them. The team would look more like the ones which were seen hired by great organisations in the movies to uncover something very important.
The problem came when a very huge team was sent to Egypt to find out more about Giza and the Sphinx. The opposition came from both the local government and the archaeologists as many demanded that the Pyramids were 'their area'.
"Sir, there have been problems in acquiring permission to make thorough excavation and research on the Pyramids of Egypt. How should you proceed?"
"Bribe them. I don't want obstructions in such a small thing."
"Sir, the government can be bought but the current team of archaeologists might not allow the team even if you give them money."
"Then force them out. Give them a week to vacate. If they can't then its better for them to be deported from Egypt itself and never to set foot in the country."
"Affirmative sir."
Robin had little to no respect for people who obstruct others from gaining knowledge. Especially from those who held no power in the actual world. As JARVIS and Robin were talking, he got a call.
"Hello."
"What hello? You have forgotten about India the moment you stepped foot in Europe."
"Umm... I text you regularly and I don't know when you are actually free."
"That's also true. This department of mine had asked me to submit a journal tomorrow and also give a presentation in another city on Monday. I am tired as hell. Haven't slept in the last 2 days."
"Only 6 months more and then you are free."
It was Rita, his cousin. Robin never had the habit of calling people and having a long talk until it was with his best friend with whom they discussed anime and other things of the same interest.
"I have been listening to this tired ass excuse for a long time."
"Well sorry about that. After you complete your studies you can roam the world."
"Who will sponsor that? You?"
"Umm.. yes..."
"Yeah! right. By the way, my boyfriend got a fellowship in Singapore. In a few months he will leave."
"Oh then you should definitely travel the whole world after he leaves."
"If only I had the money."
Robin didn't convince her more of that. With the money he had he could make the life of his cousin like a descendant of a royal family but he didn't want to elaborate on this. Rita ranted more about her life while Robin sent some pictures of his travels. She was understandably jealous and said that she would one day travel the world and show off.
Robin was tired after the call and just went to sleep while Myrene took another bed. Robin would feel uncomfortable sleeping with someone else thus JARVIS had made sure to book a room which had two separate beds. Myrene didn't need to sleep but she still did or else it would make Robin feel awkward in the room.
Today was a great day for Robin as he had seen places that were breathtaking and stopped at places that almost made him lose his breath. It was an otherworldly experience for Robin.
