But their happiness was a little short lived as after a few hours of the breakdown of the main commanding ship of the Zorians, the Luminary Collective had finally arrived with their new spaceship to the Zorian star system.
The Zorians had already receded back and their planetary defense were placed in full offense mode with all the offenses systems pointed at the direction of the Terran fleet. This was enough to show that the Zorians were ready to fight back in their own home if the Terran fleet approached the planet.
Which the Terrans didn't. Not yet at least.
As the Terrans were contemplating if they should continue their attack on Zorians, a fleet of advanced spaceships emerged from the depths of the unknown. They materialized like shimmering specters, their sleek silhouettes gliding through the cosmic void with an otherworldly grace. Each vessel bore the distinct markings of huge
The fleet was a sight to behold, a breathtaking array of ships, each one more imposing than the last. The flagship, known as the "Imperial Ascendant," stood at the forefront, its colossal frame adorned with gleaming golden accents. It radiated an aura of authority and power that sent shivers down the spines of any who dared to gaze upon it.
Though the letters were quite foreign to humans but it was not foreign to Robin and his co. It's because they had been actively trying to learn the language of the Milky Way since the time, the Zorians attacked their solar system.
Accompanying the flagship were a variety of spacecraft, each serving a specific purpose in the Empire's grand design. Among them were the "Nova Serpentis," a nimble and agile fighter craft capable of executing lightning-fast maneuvers; the "Celestial Leviathan," a massive dreadnought bristling with formidable weaponry, ready to unleash devastation upon any opposition; and the "Starfire Sylph," an ethereal vessel that seemed to dance through the cosmos, leaving trails of stardust in its wake.
But each of the spaceships had a huge stamp on them. The huge emblem had Luminary written on its core with a celestial body emitting a luminous glow, encircled by swirling nebulas and orbiting planets, it had interlocking patterns woven into the design. Rendered in regal blues, purples, and subtle metallic tones, the emblem was beautiful to say the least.
"We need to adopt such an emblem for our solar system," Robin mumbled in awe when he first laid eyes on the Luminary Collective's emblem.
"It's still glowing brightly despite the sun of their system shining amid the Dyson Sphere," everyone was captivated by the emblem, almost more so than the spaceships themselves. While they marveled at the arrival of the Luminary Collective spaceships, the Luminary Collective representatives were also scrutinizing the Terran spaceships.
Having traversed 3500 light years, the Luminary Collective had reached the nearest base to the Zorian Star system and had already obtained videos of the fight between the Zorians and the Terrans.
"General, we have an incoming call from their flagship. Should I connect?" a communication officer announced. The General gave the green light, and soon a holographic image of a woman appeared before everyone on the bridge.
They deduced she was a woman due to the distinct outlines of bioluminescent patterns on her, similar to the Zorians and the creatures they had encountered on the planet Vespera.
"I am High Admiral Selena of the Luminary Collective. May I know the name of your representative?" she inquired.
"This is General Edmund, representing the Terrans and humans," the General responded.
"Humans?" Selena seemed a bit puzzled upon hearing the term but didn't let it distract her.
"We have observed your incursion into the Zorian star system, which falls under our domain. Can we know the reason for this foreign power invading the star system?" Selena asked.
"It is because the Zorians attacked us first," the General stated.
This tale has been unlawfully obtained from Royal Road. If you discover it on Amazon, kindly report it.
"That's impossible," Selena shook her head in disbelief.
"If you don't believe me, ask them. We had the same conversation with their leader before," the General urged.
Another person appeared in the holographic video, the same man who had led the Zorians in the fight and had contacted the Terrans previously.
"High Admiral, they are lying. A few cycles ago, we received a communication on an old receiver given to us by the Luminary Collective many time units ago. According to Clause 33A of the Galactic Federation, we were to head to an unknown star system and bring it under the rule of the Luminary Collective. However, before our fleet could reach the star system, these beings ambushed us and proceeded to wage war against us."
"Clause 33A, so you mean to say that you found a budding star system with life. That's good to hear. General, do you have anything to say in your defense?" Selena inquired, seeking further explanation from the Terrans.
"How do you know that the star system they attacked wasn't the one that retaliated? We are from the same star system they mentioned. Your Colonel is currently under our captivity, and you can ask him if what we say is true or not," the General firmly responded.
"Such audacious lies you're conjuring, General. Lying to a High Admiral is already punishable. Do you want to add more crimes to your record before we take you down and bring you to the Galactic Federation?" Selena countered, her tone stern.
"So, you're not even willing to hear my side of the story?" The General remained unfazed by the threat and inquired calmly.
"There's nothing to hear. You are invaders, and that's already a crime. You still have the chance to surrender," Selena declared. The General stared at Selena intently for a moment and let out a sigh.
"Fine. Let's see who has the better guns," the General responded resolutely.
"Do you truly wish to fight? According to intergalactic laws, you will be tried, and it could spark a war," Selena cautioned, attempting to de-escalate the situation.
"We don't care about your intergalactic laws or any laws you've made. We only know that you attempted to conquer our homeland, and we are defending our species. According to the law of our land, we have the right to retaliate," the General stated firmly.
After a moment's pause, Selena closed the communication. The spaceships on their side began to move, and the General directed the Battlecruisers to take their positions.
Slowly, in the midst of the vastness of space, a titanic clash of forces unfolded between the Terran Dominion and the Luminary Collective. Terran Battlecruisers and Valkyries maneuvered with precision, their weapons blazing as they engaged in a desperate battle against the Luminary Collective's advanced fleet.
Duke Edmund gritted his teeth as he observed the tide of the battle. "Steady, everyone! Keep those Valkyries on their toes! We can't let them push us back!"
From the "Imperial Ascendant," High Admiral Selena directed her forces with unwavering focus. "Advance! Break their formations!"
Terran and Collective ships weaved through the vastness of space, firing volleys of energy beams and projectiles. Explosions lit up the darkness as the battle raged on. Both factions knew the significance of this conflict, and they fought with a determination born from the survival of their respective civilizations.
The Guardians were also not to be left behind, leading the Guardians was a Warlock named Aria, whose luminescent wings shimmered with celestial grace.
In the midst of the intense and unyielding battle between the Terran forces and the Luminary Collective, the Guardians stood unwaveringly by the side of the Terrans.
High above the fray, a Warlock Guardian named Aria channeled the solar Light, enveloping her allies in a protective barrier of golden radiance. "Hold the line!" she called out, her voice echoing through the comms. "We cannot falter!"
A Titan Guardian named Theron roared as he unleashed a torrent of arc energy, tearing through Luminary Collective fighters with his Fist of Havoc. "Push them back! We fight for the safety of the galaxy!"
Lyra, the Hunter Guardian, remained focused and precise, her void arrows finding their marks with deadly accuracy. "We can do this! Together, we're unstoppable!"
The Guardians' presence bolstered the Terrans' resolve, and they fought with renewed vigor, but the might of the Luminary Collective remained unyielding. The "Imperial Ascendant" directed its powerful weaponry with unrelenting precision, inflicting devastating blows on the Terran and Guardian forces alike.
As the battle raged on, Duke Edmund's voice carried a mix of determination and frustration. "Keep fighting! We can't let them take control of this star system!"
Meanwhile the Luminary Collective was surprised seeing these men with Light based powers.
"Commander what the hell is going on? What are they?"
"We don't know High Admiral. They have proven to be quite the adversary to our battle against the invaders. It is because of them we lost our Command ship as one of them sacrificed themself to create a EMP burst to our shield generators.
"Go back. We will talk more on this." Selena said.
She didn't want to think of these men with powers more and was more concerned with their hiding abilities since like the previous time, they were not seen by the sensors. It was creating a huge problem even for them since the sensors of their spaceships too couldn't sense such high arbitrary movements by the Guardians.
